Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThese are the real deal. I got them for cutting back some of the undergrowth that covers the paths when I walk my dog and they are brilliant. The smaller ones easily cut through brambles and other small vines that force their way out over the path and the bigger ones cut the offending brambles at the base no matter how thick. They also cut back branches that impinge over the path. Comfortable, easy to use and good at what they do

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI’ve only had these 5 months now – it’s November, so I’ve used them for most of the summer and they are still cutting perfectly. Normally by the end of summer I’ve lost a spring out of the pruners (or lost the pruner!)
but these are really sturdy and are still cutting great and easier to find when I drop them with them being lime green.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI love these I can prune to my hearts content they are so comfortable and easy to oil and clean . These are the best pruners I have used and I have had quite a few . I will in the future replace these with the same ones because of the comfortable way they are x thank you

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersMy old secateurs, similar to these had finally broken after about 15 years of hard work. I was struggling to find some ergonomic ones like them to replace them with. I saw these and thought for the money I’d give them a go. I couldn’t be happier. All of my large shrubs have been pruned back, they’re nice and sharp and cut through even quite thick branches fairly easily, no blisters at the end either! Great value.

So far so good. I use these mainly to clip down a piracantha hedge into smaller pieces to put in the compost bin. They function very well and for the price they are very good. Have not used the pair for more woody material but have no reason to think they would not function as well as the other pair. Pleased with purchase.

I have had many secateurs over the years & these are by far the best. I don’t usually leave reviews, but these are so good I had to. Would not hesitate to recommend.

I did have reservations regarding buying these clippers as the reviews were mixed regarding quality and durability. They were a good price so I bought them. I have been pleasantly surprised but it is early days. Because of the reviews I haven’t overfaced them with bigger branches but they were sharp and effective on day to day garden pruning for small shrub cut backs like hydrangeas and roses and light pruning of apple trees.

Purchased for a home user with restricted capability for squeezing the handles. The bypass blade works pretty well but it must be kept sharp. Doing so wasn’t easy due to restricted blade access.

I needed to replace an old pair of Wilkinson Sword secateurs and was looking on line, on Amazon. I came across the Davaon Pro Geared Secateurs and thought I’d give them a go. The two different pairs gives the freedom to use one pair on fresh foliage and stalks whilst the anvil pair allows use on woody, dead stems. This means the bypass secateurs should remain sharper for longer and the anvil pair will not damage fresh foliage.

After buying so many pairs at 5-10 a pair and them being okay I did some research – a lot of research and decided on these –
They cut through thick woody stems with ease I cut up 3 large bags worth of tree/ shrub (the bags are brilliant also from Amazon ) to get more in the bag I chopped everything up small it took me 3 hours and I didn’t get blisters on my hands – every other pair I have had gives me blisters
    Highly recommend

They are fairly lightweight, though not as light as my longstanding Gardena secateurs which have served many years. The handles spring apart a fair distance which is a slight challenge for my, admittedly small, hands (size 7). However, these are still reasonably comfortable in use, though I suspect may not feel so following a lengthy episode of pruning. They make beautiful, clean cuts and I’ve been very happy using them for small jobs.
Overall pleased with both pairs. Good value

I ordered one of these years ago and loved them. Unfortunately, they did eventually dull and I’ve never had luck having any cutting implement sharpened. I looked and looked for a replacement pair but they were no longer available from any reputable company that had them listed. Then I found I could get them in the UK via Amazon. The maker, Davaon, was wonderful to deal with – informative emails, shipping info and real concern about their products being used properly. I bought extras to share with friends who had seen or used them & wanted them for themselves. Great gift for any gardener.

These are the best I have ever used, and I am so pleased with them. I cut a few twigs at first and then cut a 12mm diameter branch on a small tree and it was a really neat cut – my others even when new did not do such a good job, the woody branches were always slightly mashed up rather than cut, and I always needed more strength to use them. I hardly needed any strength at all to use these. I recommend this set – if you want a really good pair of secateurs – they are worth paying extra for…

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI ordered the secateurs so that I would be able to tidy up my garden whilst being confined to my home for the next 12 weeks. I fully expected to wait longer than usual for my item to be delivered due to the current Coronavirus problem., however I received the secateurs less than 24 hours after placing the order. Within that time I also received an email from the seller giving advice on using and caring for the product. What an amazing service by both the seller and by Amazon delivery service. I would like to offer my thanks to both parties! The secateurs are brilliant. They are light in weight but work really well on stubborn stems that need pruning. I was very impressed with how comfortable they are to use and found that the spring action made them easy to use too.i would definitely recommend this product and seller to anyone else considering making a similar purchase.

Golden Review Award: 25 From Our UsersI have not been very lucky with my secateurs lately. In spring I lost a pair in our woodland area and after intense searching failed to find them. Husband bought me a cheap a pair from Lidl. I told him they would not be any good but in fact they performed pretty well and lasted me until a couple of weeks ago when the spring action failed.

These looked just the job – and buying a pair means that if I lose one pair at least I will have another to hand!

So far I am very pleased with my purchase. The lock easily and feel very comfortable in the hand. The blades on both are very sharp and make short work of shrubs, hedging etc. I realise that the anvil type are recommended for dead and dried stems and the bypass for live stems but actually when I am engrossed in my garden I tend not to differentiate between them. The specifications are good and they should last for a long time – if I don’t lose them!

Just the best. If service matters to you and it does to me then here it is first class. Rare event but I received 2 of the same type of secateur. From my email telling Davaon this and receiving the correct one took 3 days. Now not only is that my idea of service but but I was told to keep the extra as a spare. OK so it might be simpler to do this but this makes me more likely to buy from them again.

The secateurs themselves are excellent and look to last – better than the more expensive one that they replaced and with a better and simpler locking system. Am I happy – yes. Do I recommend them – of course I do.
