I needed to re-route a 21.5mm waste pipe on my boiler, This cutter allowed me to cut the existing plastic pipe out of a cramped area. It gave me nice clean and straight cut on the pipes. Both old pipes and new cut nicely.

I had an off cut of 40mm pipe so I decided to test the shears on this. It worked perfectly. This is the first time I’ve used pipe shears and don’t know how it compares with the tools aimed at the professionals but it’s simple to use and neater than a saw.

The tool feels sturdy and the blade is nice and sharp. The blade lock is secure and is also spring loaded so it stays out of the way when in use.

I’d happily recommend the Airaj pipe cutter to anyone wanting a reasonably priced tool for occasional use.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works very well

Had to do a lot of plumbing in the house, including cutting yards of waste pipe. Bought this for ease. Glad I did, performed very well with nice, clean, accurate cuts. Save me hours with the hacksaw and cut-end cleaning. Very sharp I can testify after catching my finger on the blade. Would recommend this cutter but keep a few plasters handy.

Great cutter and better replacement for my old one. Cuts clean and most of the time, I don’t have to turn my pipe when cutting.

Exactly what it says on the packet, ratchet style cutting makes it easy to operate.

    Feel solid in the hand
    Easy to use
Used to cut solvent weld and pushfit waste pipes (40mm was right on the cutters limit)

Nice packaging, looks sturdy have tried a small scrap piece of plastic and it cut through with no problem.
Time will tell off this is a long time tool.

Very easy to use for non-professional user. Cut thicker pvc pipe with ease. Ratchet system helps prevent hand-ache even when performing multiple cuts. Went through 1″ pvc furniture grade pipe like butter, no mess, nice sharp clean cut. Well worth the price even if you’ve not much to do, as the reduced mess and speed over the hacksaw method is worth the price alone!. Useful addition to toolbox.

I am so happy I bought this. Makes cutting plastic pipe so easy, I’ve used it on 15mm barrier pipe, and 32 and 40mm waste pipe and it works brilliantly.
I’m only a DIYer and haven’t used any other plastic pipe cutters, but I can’t see what any others would do better.

Was battling with cutting MDPE pipe, both 20 and 25mm, had been using a combination of knife and metal pipe cutter with pretty poor results.

This goes through it like it’s not even there, clean, no effort, perfect cut. wish I had bought this sooner!

Blade didn’t look sharp but really is, nice locking handle to store more easily, overall very impressed for the money

For the price this cutter is very , very good . I work a lot with Schedule 80 1″ CPVC and it cuts through this pipe very easy .

The blade seems strong and sharp . I’m weary of trying anything over 1″ on sch 80 in case it breaks the blade . But I tried it with 2″ wavin waste pipe today and there was no issues .

    Nice produc

I was going to spend a lot more but glad i didn’t, using these to cut heavy duty 25mm plastic conduit.
Cuts through easy and straight, cuts through 22m water pipe with no effort at all.

Worked very well in constrained space to cut existing 32 and 42mm waste pipe. Made a job that would have been impossible with a saw a simple matter of half a dozen squeezes on the ratchet handle.
    Strongly recommended.

Bought this when fitting a new bathroom using plexpipe (plastic pipe). It saved me a lot of time and effort. I would recommend it to anyone. Can’t say how sturdy it is yet but still very pleased overall.

Bought these to cut some plastic pipe for a diesel heater, as wanted to cut rather than crush. Did the job perfectly, very sharp at present but time will tell on sharpness retained and durability

Sturdy scissors. Might be very good for some jobs. It is difficult to make a clear orthogonal cut of conventional plastic pipe due to
    1) pipe is jummed by the cutter
    2) there is no wide enough surface to align the pipe orthogonal to the blade
Nevertheless, it does the job even better than a swiss army knife.
You could puncture the pipe slightly rotating it inside semi-open scissors and then make the cut by rotating, as shown on the photo. There will be no jam, but you will go spiral and never orthogonal.

Need to change my review after a “real use”. It works abxolutely fine on plastic waist pipes! Even relatively old pipes are resilient enough to restore their shape after cut. Sure it also cuts all smaller plastic sizes.

5.0 out of 5 stars Not easy to use

Cuts pipes with ease. The arms need to be manually opened and not just released to reopen the jaws then it uses a great system of cutting into the pipe a bit at a time with each motion of you contacting the arms.

I used these on class E PVC pipe I normally cut with a drop saw..went through it clean and easy..impressive indeed as that stuff is tough ..much tougher than ABS waste pipe

So far so good, bought these as a cheaper option to the more expensive brand out there… Being using them everyday now for past 3 weeks and they cut fine, nice clean cuts through 1 + 1/4 waste pipes etc.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersFor some DIY work I needed to shorten two 40mm plastic waste pipes while re-plumbing a sink in my kitchen. The pipes were awkwardly placed inside a kitchen unit and hard to reach with a saw or knife.
I found this tool online and it was very easy to position on the pipes and cut through with reasonably light hand pressure. The ratchet mechanism means that once the tool is positioned and the first part of the cut made, you can shift your grip without fear of dropping the cutter or miss-cutting. All in all, they made a job I had been dreading easy.
I’m not sure how robust they’d be for regular professional use, but the two complete cuts seem to have had no effect on the mechanism. I marked down the sturdiness rating because the safety catch seems a bit flimsy and only just locks the cutter shut when not in use.

Seem very good , had several different sets over the years as a plumber, the benefit of this set is the ratchet and jaw with , will cut 40 mm waste , careful on older waste that may be brittle

Cut through 15mm with ease. On 40mm pipe cut through straight but requires a bit more force. You have to place the pipe perfectly straight in order to achieve a straight cut. It’s a bit off trial and error but after a few cuts you get used to it.
