Amazing value on these 3 water filters for my Samsung fridge freezer, especially considering that I’ve paid as much as 25 for one (and it wasn’t a Samsung branded product either) from the people I purchased the original unit from. Thanks a lot.
Immediate results
Got to be honest – I’d never changed the filter before. Water flow was very slow. This has changed fantastically since I installed one of these replacement filters. Very easy to do and immediately better!
Fits and seems to work well
I’ve tried a lot if different replacement filters for my fridge over the years and this one seems to sign as well as the original. The only thing I would say is it was tight to turn in the fitting so needed a bit of hand strength.
Fitted perfectly and works well...
Bought these for use in a Samsung American Side by Side Fridge Freezer. The filters were promptly delivered and well packed. They appeared to be well made and of very good quality, to my eyes indinguishable from original fit Filters. Its worth observing that removal of a used filter from the appliance is usually a bit of a fight, with ageing they seem to get very firmly stuck in the holder….they are then difficult to turn and unseat because there is little to firmly grip upon and space is limited. There is a fear that so much force has to be applied that there is a risk of breakage of the Filter or of its Holder assembly. Assuming you have removed the old filter successfully you might then find that it is difficult to fully insert the new filter and get it to locate and twist into place. I have found the best answer to these issues is to lightly lubricate around the nozzle and ‘O’ rings. (I happened to have some ‘Food Grade’ silicon grease and used that). I have found that the Filters will then more easily slide up into the holder, locate and twist into the retaining grooves. (I am hopeful that the grease coating will make for easier removal in the future).

As good the original
I’ve been using these for years. They last as long as Samsung, have no “taste” and seem well constructed (important if you don’t want them to leak in the fridge!)

I bought a new French door Fridge/freezer and it came with the filter by the same name, great I thought. I will ordered another one from the same company. But for the life of me and everyone else that tried, it did not fit. The reviews said to try this make and it fitted like it was the same make as the fridge/freezer. Great buy. I will be ordering more. We live in a very hard water area and it really just change the water for us.

It is easy to install and I guess it does what it is meant to do. I think that it is expensive, but saying that, all filter are generally expensive and there are no much deference in price between sellers. I would buy it again.
Good value
Great value when viewed against the price those robbers at Samsung want for just one. They seem to work exactly the same: I opened one up with the OE filter and they look exactly the same inside. They plug in firmly – no leaks to date.
Good value and do the job
Had these a few times and they work fine.
Some people complain about drips from the dispenser. I’ve found with a lot of compatible models, if you unscrew the cartridge, give it a gentle shake and then reseat it after you’ve flushed it through it releases pressure and then works fine – I think they must sometimes get an airlock which the originals don’t. That’s possibly why some people find them dry after use, but I’ve never experienced that.
I’ve never experienced a bad taste from them – certainly not enough of a difference to justify spending 5x the price on genuine Samsung ones for me.
Great product. “Much” cheaper than the original ones or other compatibles. The water is clear, odourless and tasteless. What more do you want from water. Although I said tasteless, the water definitely tastes softer than straight from the tap. However, I only gave it four stars as I found it a lot harder to fit than others I have fitted before. In my Samsung American-style fridge freezer, I had to push Phil to act hard and also twisted hard for it to fit, which may be why others have reported that it does not fit the fridge freezers even though their model is listed. But for the price, I,d persevere but would recommend holding the top of the filter head (socket) whilst pushing up the filter and turning it to avoid damage to the fridge freezer or filter head.
Good price, easy to install but peculiar taste
Very easily installed in my Samsung Fridge – however the taste is slightly off, well it kind of tastes like a swimming pool. I don’t know if it’s just me or maybe my water supply, but I’ve used official Samsung filters before and it’s never tasted like this. However for the price tag it’s very good, compared to 60 for the official Samsung product.
