Glare-free outdoor wall lighting....
A neat lighting unit that provides discreet illumination without being blinding. Easy to assemble and install using the existing cable drill-hole through an outside wall. Added two cool-running warm-white 5w (50w) GU10 LED bulbs (not included) for more than adequate brightness.
When fitting the backplate to the wall, plenty of brown silicon sealant was used on the wall-contact surface, around the screw-holes, cable entry, and within the inner edges of the plate, as extra weatherproofing.
Fitting the two final retaining screws could be tricky, but a cotton dust sheet was laid on the paving and against the wall to prevent any inadvertently dropped screws disappearing down gaps in the path….but all went well. With less clearance from an overhang, the top screw was eased in using a cross-head bit connected to a small ratchet spanner via a 5cm extension tool. The lower screw fitted using a conventional Phillips screwdriver.
The termination of the cable indoors ended in a 13 amp plug fitted with a 5 amp fuse, plugged into a wall socket through a 24hr/7 day digital timer. This is programmable for several on and off periods

Great light.
Excuse the mess outside, we’re still in building process. Great outdoor, surprisingly very bright. Electrician said install. Can’t wait for area to be finished so we can sit out in the summer months with the lights on. Highly recommend.
