I’m really impressed with this product, to the point where I’ve purchased a second one. Initially, I had it in the corridor, but now it’s providing illumination on the stairs. The battery life is really good, and the sensor, light brightness is excellent.

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely perfect!

I bought these lights on a whim thinking they may help a little to light my hallway at night.

I am delighted with their performance! Good amount of light given off considering how small they are, also the battery life is really impressive, I have only charged them once since purchasing them giving weeks of light.

I ended up buying a second pair for other areas.

This product surpassed my expectations. Fantastic value for money. Every feature worked correctly and efficiently. Even the movement sensor functioned at a reasonable distance away. I didn’t see it mentioned anywhere but it also has an ambient light-level sensor so that it only operates when it is dark enough to be worthwhile.

Really impressed with the first pair bought, that bought another pair. Have used on landing outside bathroom to aid with whoever needs bathroom at night without tripping over. They are on the lower setting on auto, but have lasted three weeks now with sign of having to recharge yet.

I love these! Have in my bathroom and kitchen. Only come on when it’s dark so no wasted battery charge during the day. Rechargeable but haven’t had to recharge yet (3 weeks in) . Can choose between bright white or warm white (which I use) and it’s perfect. Would highly recommend.

Lovely adjustable light, motion sensors, can stick anywhere and very long battery life. I use these in my hallway as night lights for my kids and they work perfectly.

Absolutely love these! I was pleasantly surprised by how small the lights were and by their brightness. I’ve had these lights for the past 4 months now and have not yet had to charge either of them, so definitely happy with the battery life. So far I’m very pleased with the lights and their quality!

    Pros:

    Motion sensor
    Rechargeable
    Magnetic strip
    Warm white light
    Dimmable
    Easy to install

    Cons:

    None that I have found

    Overall:

The AUVON Night Light is a great night light for anyone who wants a convenient and easy-to-use light. The motion sensor is very sensitive, and the light turns on automatically when you enter the room. The light is also dimmable, so you can adjust it to the perfect brightness. The magnetic strip makes it easy to attach the light to any metal surface, and the rechargeable battery means that you never have to worry about running out of power.

I have been using this night light for a few weeks now, and I have been very impressed with it. The motion sensor is very accurate, and the light is bright enough to see without being too bright. The dimming feature is also very handy, and I appreciate that the light is rechargeable.

I would highly recommend this night light to anyone who is looking for a convenient and easy-to-use night light. It is perfect for bedrooms, hallways, closets, and other areas where you need a little bit of light at night.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

Recommendation: If you are looking for a convenient and easy-to-use night light, the AUVON Night Light is a great option. It is also very affordable, making it a great value for the price.

Here are some additional details that I would include in my review:

The motion sensor has a range enough to turn on the light as soon as you enter the room.
The light is dimmable in two levels, so you can adjust it to the perfect brightness.
The night light is rechargeable, so you never have to worry about running out of power.
The night light comes with a magnetic strip, so you can attach it to any metal surface.

    I hope this helps!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersReally like these. We have them all around the house. Great for the evenings when you just wanna get up for a drink or to pop to the loo and don’t want to switch on all the lights and wake everyone up. And a nice subtle relaxing glow giving enough light to do what you need to but not blind you if you’ve got up in the middle of the night for a wee

I’ve tried a few of this type of motion sensing light over time. These are the best. USB charging, 2 light levels, motion sensing. The charge lasts for months. I use them on the landing, bathroom, hall, etc. never need to keep big light on. Just right for the night and teeth brushing! Also, the light itself is magnetic, so you can attach them directly. The magnetic attachments can be used anywhere else as needed.

    Absolutely recommend.

Bought theses originally for going on a cruise because they have a magnetic back. They also have a sticky pad so you can place on a non magnetic surface and peel off the backing to stick to any purpose. Two light settings for brightness, it can go on auto or permanent. I have one in the central compartment of the sofa so when I open it I can see what’s inside!

Family came to stay and had these lights for the children in the night. We are in our seventies and have bought them as they are fantastic for us when you are up in the night for the bathroom. Instead of putting a big light on and disturbing your night they are great. We will take on holiday too , great for through the night in the hotel. They are fantastic .

I bought this for the side of the bed so I can use it when I’m away from home and need to get up in the dark and find my way around. It can sense when I get up and I can take it to the bathroom and it lights my way without disturbing anyone else. I was worried about how small it was but it is bright enough without being too bright and a great size to take on holiday. I would definitely recommend it.

Bought these for my elderly parents to help them at night to see when they nip to the loo. Really good they are wireless and you can adjust the brightness. The motion sensor is particularly useful on the auto setting. I would recommend these.

Excellent product. I have bought many of these lights in the past and they work perfectly. However, I recently purchased another 2 for delivery to Italy and only god knows where they are. The delivery company is UPS and, to put it politely, I’m not impressed! I’ve held back 1 star because of UPS, not because of Auvon.

These AUVON Rechargeable Motion Sensors are fantastic in my opinion. USB charge, so no batteries required. Excellent.
One month later and still working on first charge. Purchased for holiday and now using in bathroom at night. My friend liked them so much that she purchased some for herself the day after she saw mine. Speedy delivery, thank you supplier.
My son has purchased this brand before. Good quality and worth the extra money.

Just a little smaller than I expected based on the pictures, but it works great and still looks good.
When using motion detection mode, the light only switches on when it’s dark so it does not waste battery life. Very happy with this purchase.

Great illuminated for any area with 2 modes of brightness, I use them in the staircase and corridor adjoining, the time frame is more than enough to not need to switch your hall light on when walking any part of the house or outside use I don’t know if these are waterproof but I don’t use them in that weather, very glad I bought these and fully recommended, the charger does a very long time depending how often ofcourse there used.

I installed these lights at my front door (within a common hall) and in the common stairwell while neighbours were carrying out building work and had control over the mains electricity. The lights gave me enough illumination to navigate the common stairs and to see my door lock to insert my key. I have left them insitu as a useful back up for a dull day when they provide useful lighting

We have had 6 of these lights for about 15 months and they are great. Even the busy one that’s in the shade during the day, so is on and off all the time 24 hours lasts well past 3 months before needing charging again.
We went through some hoop jumping to finish with a 3 year warranty, excellent.
We had an issue with one light that wouldn’t sense movement, though worked when tuned on. I contacted auvon and after sending a video of the non working light they said they’d send a replacement. 4 days later 2 replacements arrived. Happy times. So, yes they cost a bit more than the cheap ones but they are really good quality and if you do have a problem you can be sure by emailing the address on the side of the light you will get you issue resolved beyond your expectation. At least I did.

I wasn’t really expecting much from these lights and have been pleasantly surprised at their brightness. I bought them because my hallway has no windows and, in a power cut, it would be extremely difficult to navigate at night. I haven’t used the adhesive pads because they are freestanding on a unit. They are ideal for bathrooms to save turning on the light. Extremely happy with my choice, I charged them up as soon as they arrived and they are still going strong on the first charge, several weeks now. I forgot to check when they arrived before I wrote this review, sorry. I have them on low brightness (still good light) and the motion detector is very good.

I thought these were a little bit bigger but are small night lights. I have a few around the house for my cats. The motion detector worked good at first but one completely stopped working just after 2 weeks. The brightness is ok, you can adjust it by pressing a button. Gave it 4 stars because of the defective one.

  26. verifiedmarketresearch says:

Looking at the reviews the previous versions were bigger.
I have no “real” problem with the size, our ones sit on the window sil in the toilet and are in “auto” mode to motion detect when people go in there late at night.

We use the lowest setting (there is a little button on it to switch between high and low) and it is plenty bright in that scenario.

The one thing missing is the battery life indicator, it would have been really simple to add an indicator to the device so you know when to charge it up rather than it bottoming out in the middle of the night.

But apart from that it’s a pretty decent bit of kit..

I bought these because my daughter no longer needs nappies at night. She kept crying in the night when she needed to go to the toilet and I had to carry her. So I bought these so she would feel more comfortable walking herself to the bathroom. She loves them because they light up her path and now she’s no longer scared in the night. They are bright enough on the lowest setting but it’s nice to have the option to have them brighter. I actually ordered two more.
They have a great battery life, one came flat but the other has been working for more than a week without charging. I like that they are usb charge with a standard charger.
The sticky pad seems strong enough, and the magnet is great to attach onto a heater. I love them.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersAs a now retired service engineer I have an inbuilt suspicion of cheap gear. I spent a lot of time trying to find a suitable auto sense night light. After reading loads of reviews and specs of the many products on offer I decided that the only way to proceed was going to be to just buy something and hope for the best. It seemed to be taking up more time in research than it was worth. The product arrived and i was surprised to find both units were live and ready to go. I did charge them before putting them into service. I needed a compact unit with decent battery life and good motion detection. This product has been amazing in its service time, I needed to cover a a busy narrow passage and the lights worked extremely well. The auto off in daylight means not having to remember to switch them off to save battery life. I have them set on soft light which is more than enough, they are triggered probably 15+ times a night and have run for a month without charge. The detection range is very wide so any movement triggers them. Construction is good especially considering the low price. I only wish I had not wasted so much time trying to be sure I was making the right choice. I highly recommend these lamps and will be purchasing more for other applications.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersI’ve never felt so enthusiastic about a lighting product, but I love these lights!

I wanted a battery-powered night light, ideally motion activated, so kids going to the bathroom during the night didn’t have to dazzle themselves with room lights.

I paid 17.99 for the 2 pack of these and, whilst there were cheaper options on Amazon, I was impressed by the reviews and now I’m pleased to be adding to them!

I’ve had these lights for about 9 months now and cannot find fault with them at all.

They are really nicely designed, very well made, feel great quality, have very effective motion sensors, can be set to be either permanently on or motion-activated, have 2 brightness settings, and incredible endurance on a charge.

They’re small and highly portable, with a magnet on their rear. I’ve not stuck the supplied adhesive metal base plates up, I just stand one light on a landing table and the other is magnetically attached to a metal cabinet in the bathroom.

They charge using a standard USB to microUSB cable (one is supplied) and a small red light is visible on the front when charging, as shown in my photo. The red light goes off when fully charged. Charging is quick and lasts for ages – certainly weeks, possibly months. I tend to charge every month or so and haven’t ever had them run out so can’t be sure.

In my photo I’ve shown one of these lights next to a 10p coin to illustrate its size. Smaller than I originally expected, this is no disadvantage, and makes them incredibly portable when travelling.
I’ve occasionally used these as kids’ night lights, switched permanently on all night, and they can handle that too.

I can’t recommend these highly enough. They really deserve all the great reviews here.

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely perfect for my requirements

    1) Packaging was well done. They look like high quality products.

    2) The width and breadth of the two lovely little night lights are about the length of a small finger. Very compact, and can be installed in most places.

    3) The lights have been pre-charged with some battery, so I was able to test them out upon arrival without further charging. And since it is winter day light hours when the sky is dark before 4 p.m., I can tell that the lights really work.

    4) It is almost 2.5 hours now, after I have put the lights to the test, and they have continued to function without further charging, so I can’t tell how much battery was already inside when they left the factory. Wonderful!

    5) On auto, lights do turn on swiftly. It can sense me from about 2 meters away. And it does turn off in about 20 seconds. So if a continuous night light is preferred all through the evening, positioning the switch to ‘on’ may be better for some households.

    6) The backing adhesive peel of the magnet is from 3M. So I can surely say it is an impressive quality.

    UPDATE:

    7) Having tried the lights for one evening, I would recommend positioning them higher up so a larger area can be flooded with light. Putting them at ground level is not very useful according to me. And try not to install them at eye level so that your eyes are not blinded as soon as they turn on. Otherwise having two of these are good enough for my small landing and the stairs, as through trial and error, I have positioned them strategically to cover both the upstairs (small) landing and the stairs, in such a way that the downstairs landing is also covered.

    8) The colour of the lights turned from a lovely light warm yellow to a darker orange within a couple of days, as all light-coloured lights do, I suppose. Sad by still fine by me.

Great product. Yes, I highly recommend.

… with little windows, narrow passages and odd stairs here and there. I have some plug in night-lights but these are ideal for the odd ‘trip hazzard’ places where there are no electric sockets.

I have bought some of these before (but not this brand) and they are very effective. Deciding that there were other places that could do with a bit of illumination I bought these.

The others were Very bright so I will change them with these in the bedrooms as the light they give is enough to see by but not to wake a sleeping ‘relevant other’. (5* for brightness as I was looking for a ‘soft light’.) I will use them to get up and navigate my way round the bed and put the others on stairs/steps.

Update: I have just bought another pack of these as we are having the stairs altered and I want extra auto lights on them till we get used to the new layout. I have just realised the extra button on the top is so you can decide how bright (or not) you want them. These are ideal for bedrooms as well as ‘dangerous’ dark places … so a well deserved 5* item.

They can be set to off, on, or to come on when they sense movement. A lead is supplied to charge them up via a computer, an adapter or a socket with a usb point. It charges quickly and the red light goes off to tell you it’s full. A magnetic plate with a sticky back is supplied to attatch them to a wall and remove for charging. I place mine on the floor and these stand firmly as the bottom is square’ish.

Came very, very quickly even on free delivery; well packed and easy to open. I’m pleased with my purchase.

Golden Review Award: 41 From Our UsersI’ve just taken delivery of these Auvon lights and, so far, I’m impressed.
Previously I’ve tried two different makes of mains powered PIR night light that double up as an emergency light/torch in a power cut; the big problem is that both used wireless induction technology to charge up the built-in battery, and the induction circuitry seems to be universally prone to burning out — every make I’ve found online seems to have reviews saying it stops working after 6-24 months. Both my units lasted just 13-14 months, which makes them expensive, and such a waste of materials.
So I finally decided to invest in these Auvon night lights instead. I needed a night light that:
    > only turns on when it detects movement — tick
    > still works in a power cut — tick
    > can be portable — tick
These appear well made and nicely finished. Each is 69mm wide, 69mm high (plus 1-2mm for the buttons top), and 25mm deep (plus 5mm for the little PIR sensor on the front, and 1mm for the base plate when it is applied).
The night light will stand on any surface; it even sits quite happily on the top of my door frames. However, it also has a built-in magnet to its rear and can be attached to the optional metal base plate that is provided; the base plate has a sticky pad covering most of its surface and seems to stick very securely, though I guess it depends on the surface to which it is being applied. The magnet in the night light seems quite strong too. The base plate fits inside a matching indentation in the back of the night light, so the light does not just slide off the base plate; but, being a magnetic attachment, the night light can be easily grabbed and carried around in a power cut.
The night light has two brightness settings, switched by a simple push button on top. It also has ‘off’, ‘fully on’ and ‘auto on’ settings. The ‘auto on’ setting only works when the prevailing light level is low. Though some reviewers comment that the light is too dim, it is only designed to be a night light, after all; so for me the light is ample. I use one in my inner hallway (no windows) on the ‘dim’ setting, just to give enough light to move around (eg. for guests to find the bathroom at night), and one in my bathroom on the ‘brighter’ setting in case of a power cut. The light is warm white — not orange, which I don’t like, but not cold white either.
The PIR sensor on each unit seems to be perfectly sensitive, and seems to work across a wider angle than the advertised 120 degrees, ie. detecting movement directly to the side of the night light. The night lights sometimes take a second or two to react and turn on, but this is okay. Having turned on they stay lit for 20 seconds after I move out of range (or just stop moving).
I’ll try to remember to update this review in a few months, to let you know if the lights are still working okay and for how long they last between charging. Since they have lithium batteries built in, they will hopefully last as long as is claimed, and a little USB lead is included in the pack for the 2-hour charging session when required — you just need to plug it into a USB socket somewhere (5V/1A output ideally).
