Not fit for purpose
My daughter loved this Barbie, unfortunately after only playing with her 4 times the lights stopped working fully with just the red lights working. On unscrewing the battery compartment, it was clear to see that water had got into the electrics. This toy is sold as being able to play in water, which this one was clearly not!
Beautiful toy but not fit for purpose
My little girl became very attached to her under water Barbie but it hasn’t lasted, it quickly became mouldy in her hair despite trying to clean it I suspect water is inside Barbie’s head. Unable to now use as unsafe. Not fit for purpose to be used in the bath
It lights up!
My Daughter play’s in the tub with this and her many barbie mermaids and she loves it! It lights up and is safe to use in water. It really is a fun toy.
Big hit with 5 year old
Got this for my 5 year old niece. She was really happy with it and after watching her swing it around for a bit, it seems well made and quite durable.

Great fu
We bought this one to replace one (exact replacement) as she had gone mouldy. My 4 year old is obsessed with mermaids. We had an exact one about 15 months but email the bath times had taken their toll and she developed mould under the hair that I couldn’t remove do we replaced it. Happy girl again.

Daughter loves this doll, I thought I got it for bargain, but I was mistaken it has been reduced further for 9.99
So its a bitter sweet situation but overall its good quality.
Looks grea
Looks great hvnt used it yet as it’s for Christmas but think she will love it. Cane very quickly and looks just like picture was actually bigger than thgt would be so lol good so far.
I bought this for my niece. Checked it worked, which it did and I thoroughly enjoyed playing with it in the box before gifting , It was great to see the tail light up and see her ‘swim’. Fantastic product great service.
Caution though…..
While enjoying playing with the doll I wished I was a mermaid and was immediately surrounded with magical sparkles and collapsed to the floor…. I was left with a beautiful mermaid tail and and incredible calling from the ocean, as I live 1 hour drive to the beach I had to make do with the local Canals , eventually I shall make it to the see and live out my wish ( if I can make it through all this dirty water ).
Brilliant Barbie.
My granddaughter is a big Barbie doll fan. She was delighted with this one. I must admit I thought it was brilliant. Put the bottom half of the doll into water and it sparkles and shimmers. Great. The only negative is its a bit pricey in my opinion.
Good, but paint falls off easily in places
As a four year old’s birthday this was a great success! It generally has a good build quality but the paint on the blue part of the tail has already started to fall off.
The electrics and movement work well though, great in the bath.
Exactly what I was looking for really pleased with the purchase… Happy happy girl seeing it.. even I loved the lights on tail it’s so bright and making the kids cheerful and happy with flipping kind of motion with the tail part!

My daughter and niece love the mermaid barbie have played with them for hours and although it isn’t very clear these can go in the water! The only fault I’d have is that there is to much plastic around the doll that makes it hard to remove from.
A little girl's dream
Even prettier than described. Every little girl loves mermaids and with the addition of a light up tail this toy really fits the bill. The doll can be taken into water and can make a “swimming” motion. Yet to find out how sturdy it is and if the lights etc continue to work, time will tell.

I purchased this for my grandaughter’s birthday I’m sure she will be delighted with this, the mermaids tail lights up with some lovely colours & when you press the sides next to her waist the bottom part of doll from the waist down moves back and forth like a mermaid swimming, ideal for any Barbie fan & great for imaginative play
