he reason for the low value for money score is simple , the wife wanted a monitor for her lap top i had a monitor but no lead ,hence the purchase , it worked well for the 2 hours she tried it then decided she didn’t want a monitor after all , so that was my money wasted, so the value for money would have been 4 or 5 had it stopped her bleating lol

For a cable that is less than 10, it’s got a good quality feel to it and the serial and HDMI connections have a nice snug fit and no issues connecting them to my laptop and monitor. A great value buy for my aging serial ported monitor.

I borrowed one of these from a friend who told me how much it had cost him, so l found these which are about a third of the price of his, and l let him know it
There doesn’t seem to be any difference from his, maybe it’ll be a longevity thing so l’ll have to wait. For know, lm chuffed.

I had an old PC screen and this lead worked perfect. Just plugged in and altered settings on PC for multiscreen. Was very simple and picture is clear. Has made working from home so much easier. Really happy with this purchase

Works very well, plugged in the HDMI end to new PC first then the VGA into the monitor ( as mentioned in other reviews) and it worked with no problems. Glad I went for the 1.8m instead of the .9m one which I first thought of, gives that bit of extra flexibility.
    Looks very well made.

Brought to connect monitor to laptop so can extend display for ease of working. Had for a few months taking HDMI on and off and still working fine

I have had this cable for a few weeks, but I use it daily with a Mac Mini M2 Pro. The quality is excellent, but I should have bought a bigger one because 0.9m is very short. I have to have the Mac Mini very close to the screen in order for the cable to reach the ports. If you ant to buy this cable I suggest buying one later than 0.9m that I got.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersNeeded a cable to connect my laptop to a DVI & VGA monitor at home. Home PC is plugged into the DVI socket so needed a HDMI to VGA cable and this does the business perfectly. Laptop now has 2 screens, making ideal for working from home.

A good durable cable. Feels like good quality. But I do feel it’s priced for the Amazon Prime market.

I liked this product as it kept the picture in HD and was very easy to connect to a computer! The only problem is it was very small so I had to buy another adapter to make it longer. this product is mostly ok though!

Be sure to check the size you need. I bought the 1M and whilst it what I needed I wish I’d got it a bit longer.

Otherwise the picture is good and the lead still works a year later.

Bought this to connect my laptop to a computer monitor so I can have two screens to work on at the same time. I am currently working from home and was told by my colleagues that this set up would be the answer to my prayers and productivity! They weren’t wrong!! The cable was so easy to connect to the monitor and laptop. It was simple to set up (I just Googled it) – I can’t recall if it came with instructions! The cable is a good length and good quality. Was a good purchase and I’ll never go back to one screen!

Nothing to dislike it does what it does very well. The gold connection if really gold help cut down signal interference etc. It’s doing what it’s doing well. I will buy another one or two in due course.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our Users…if like me you happen to have an old screen that only has a VGA connection but a spare Mini PC that can be used for virtually any purpose.

The Mini PC has HDMI outlets and the screen is VGA which presented me with a problem – by a new screen or find a way to reuse the old screen?

The HDMI to VGA, Benfei Gold-Plated HDMI to VGA 1.8M Cable was absolutely the ideal answer and my old Acer screen came springing back into life and will allow me to keep all the various software and spurious data away from my main computer as well as limiting the exposure to on-line intruders!

The connecters at each end of the 1.8M cable are very well made and the VGA connecter has easy to use threaded screws to ensure a solid connection to the monitor.

Overall there’s nothing not to like about this product and as you may have guessed – I am actually using this item and believe it to be of very good value.

Thank you for your time in reading my feedback/review — I hope it may have helped you in your own buying decision.

I needed this adaptor to use with an old-ish but still surprisingly good quality monitor which has a VGA slot, and my brand new work laptop with a docking station which only has USB, DP, and HDMI slots. First I managed to buy another product which was for a connection “the other way around” (VGA input), which obviously didn’t work, so had to order this one too it was very encouraging when I heard the familiar Windows “bong” as soon as I connected the cable and my monitor worked immediately. The picture quality is as good as it always was, the cable is plenty long enough, so I am pleased with this purchase. My only slight complaint is about the truly excessive packaging, and I don’t mean Amazon. This item was inside a plastic shrink wrap, which was inside another single use plastic bag (had to be cut to get the product out). Why. I had to throw out quite a lot of plastic rubbish after. I’m no eco zealot but I don’t like pointless waste. Please reduce the packaging, there really is no need for double plastic wrapping for something like this product.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersI bought this because I had to persuade my boss ( who lives in the dark ages ) of the benefits of using 2 monitors, the setup I was offered already had a 15 inch screen connected VGA-VGA. The 19 inch screen that was hanging around ( who in their right mind had been using a 15 inch 4:3 screen when a 19 inch 4:3 had been sitting around gathering dust!?) wouldn’t connect HDMI-VGA using this cable so I used it cable for the 15 inch screen and connected the 19 VGA-VGA. Then screens were being updated across the board, so I salvaged the 19 inch from the bin and bought it home, it connects to my laptop HDMI-VGA using this cable, which it wouldn’t do on the (much more modern) work PC.

After I had shelled out my hard earned on this, I wondered why I hadn’t bought a HDMI-DVI-D cable instead? Check your monitor has this input before switching your choice, obviously
