Top quality fleece. Really well made.
The material this fleece is made from is really high quality. You can tell it’s a cut above average. It has that warm against the skin feel without every getting clammy or causing overheating. Really great material, and a lot better than the stuff that gets used on the cheaper stuff. The cut is very flattering, and good length for a young man.
Trusted brand
Anyone who already owns berghaus products will know there items are not cheaply made, made to last , very comfortable and worth paying the extra for.
My husband loves this jacket his only complaint it the smell of my perfume, this jacket is definetly a boyfriend/husband essential steal it’s super comfy and exactly a feel good comfy hoodie.
Aside from the essentials, I would say this is generous sizing which is what you want as this style of jacket is not designed to be slim fit so do order your regular size.
Washes oerfectly, no iron obviosuly and no shrinkage or colour fade proving this jacket ahs been made with quality products as per berghaus high standard.

Berghaus Men’s Logo Fleece Jacket is a first-class fleece which like all Berghaus products the quality is evident from the first moment I had the fleece in my hands. It is perfectly sized and looks good when worn.
A quality product and the fact it is so easy to launder, and the fact it dries looking as good as new.
This fleece proves the fact you pay for what you get, and this fleece is well worth the price asked.
A quality product which is sold at a great price, it is also a garment which will last if looked after correctly.

Comfortable, lightweight but warm hooded activewear jacket from a reliable brand
This hooded jacket from trusted brand Berghaus is a great item for anyone looking for an activewear jacket that is lightweight and relatively warm for those situations where just wearing your sports top alone isn’t going to cut it.
I’m 6ft tall with a c. 44″ chest and 33″ waist, and I chose the Medium. As you can see from the photo it fits me fine. I am borderline Medium/Large when I choose tops depending on brand and circumstances, but I think I made the right choice because I’m not likely to need to wear many layers under this. The sleeve length is just about right for me – which is a pleasant surprise for a size Medium..
Manufactured quality is up to the standard I have come to expect from Berghaus.
For a price of c. 60 (at time of review) that feels like average value-for-money. You could certainly find similar products for less, but at least with this one you are getting a known standard of fit and finish.
A very comfy jacke
Another great product by Berghaus. I ordered XXL for my partner and it fits perfectly. I’m actually gutted I didn’t choose a smaller size for myself instead! He’s really happy with how comfy it is to wear, perfect for chilly evenings in summer and would be great in winter. There’s 2 pockets at the front, would be better if they were zip up but not a major issue. The material is great quality with no stitching issues. The logo is clear and a good size. The hood is big enough for decent coverage in wind and rain. Slightly pricy but this jacket won’t disappoint.
Great looking fleece jacke
This is fantastic for taller men as they have not skimped on the fabric and the sleeves and length are good.
It’s incredibly soft and cosy. Useful pockets which don’t scatter change everywhere and a very warm double lined neck.
It just feels quality, the weight of the zip, the cuffs and of course the Berghaus name
Very good Quality
This mens Berghaus fleece jacket is excellent quality, just as you would expect from the Berghaus make. The fabric is top notch too after washing no bobbling at all. A perfect gift too. It comes in 3 different colours and a good array of sizes, I personally find Berghaus to be a small fit so I always buy a size up. Excellent product at a great price too.
Quality fleece
Berghaus Fleece Jacket is supplied in a polythene bag. It is available in three colours, mid-grey, black, and dusk (blue), and in sizes from small up to 3XL. This review is for the medium size in Dusk. It is fully zipped style with two kangaroo pockets on either side. The medium size fitted as expected compared with my other medium tops, I am 6 feet tall and around 13 stone.
It is made from 73% Cotton, 22% Polyester and 5% Elastane and can be machine washed on a cool cycle. It has a good length with a high collar and a generous hood. The material is quite thick and warm and they are suitable for a variety of outdoor activities, both for sport and for general use. The style is a little plain with subtle branding but they are very well made and feel to be of good quality with no rough seams or dodgy stitching.
The price for the medium fleece in Dusk is 51.95 which I consider good value for the quality and the brand although other configurations are more expensive.

Primarily a straight outdoor pursuits brand, Berghaus have had a subtle but enduring presence in streetwear for forty years now. It never has been, or ever will be, a super-cool label, but it’s always been respectable, and always will be. You can’t go wrong with it, in other words – it’s quality. Respected.
This fleece hoody, then, whilst being great for proper outdoor wear – it’s of a thick polycotton mix and has deep kangaroo pockets and an inner collar, as they’ve never forgotten their core clientele – but it has some concessions to streetwear in the tailored fit and extra- deep wide hood. So as good on the street as it would be in the hills.
75 quid is about right really for this sort of garment – not quite designer, but a huge step up in quality and appearance from anything on the high street. Great everyday piece.
Amazing Quality Hoodie
I found this to be an amazing hoodie. The hoodie quality is excellent smooth, warm due to the adequate thickness as well as soft, you can differently tell its well made.
Size wise just a tad bit big for me, I would’ve got a size smaller but I guess the extra material makes it good for the winter when you’re wearing thicker clothes.
Leans more to the expensive side but the quality is worth it. Recommended.

Nice and warm, I like the double lined hood.
This is a really nice hoodie from Berghaus, I ordered the XL and am a 42 inch chest along with a 42 inch midriff and I am 6′ high. The fit was roomy but not overly big and how I like to wear my hoodies, so I am happy with the fit overall. The arm length was good too, as I find that some hoodies can be a little stingy on the length.
The pockets are a good size and having worn it a few times I didn’t have any issues with items falling out of them whilst sitting down. I particularly like the hood and collar, which are double lined and nice and warm. The hood is nice and big and can happily fit a hat inside and not pull on your neck whilst up. Along with the hood you also get a high collar with the zip going all the way up to about your chin so you can hunker down inside the hood to keep nice and warm.
The cuffs were not too tight either so you can happily pull the sleeves up over your elbows without cutting off the blood supply or feeling uncomfortable. I also didn’t have any issues with getting overly sweaty inside as I have found with other synthetic hoodies so it is breathable as well. The zip is a good chunky affair and looks like it should last too!
All in all im very happy with it and 75 is a reasonable price for a trusted brand like Berghaus. A good solid offering in my opinion and im happy to recommend!
Lovely fleece jacket but expensive
To be honest I really like this Berghaus fleece jacket – it is made to last and all of the stitching and seams are quality but… I’d never pay this much money normally for a fleece which is why I have taken a star off – it has nothing to do with the quality of it – just the price. It fits really well (you can be sure that the sizing of a quality company like this is spot on) and looks nice on. One extra minor quibble is I would really like it to have had zips in the pockets.

This is excellent quality I love it, and it fits me perfectly. It feels great on very nice and comfortable. For this brand the price is spot on and I for one definitely recommend it.

Great fit, ideal for layering or slightly cooler days.

Excellent quality though pricey
There are cheaper fleece hoodies though with Berghaus you expect a better quality. Thankfully the latter is true; soft and very comfortable, with a very pleasant fleece lining. It’s surprisingly warm considering it is thinner than you might expect and this makes it great for walking and hiking (especially during the recent cold snap we had). One other thing that impresses – it fits perfectly. I got the large and, unlike many clothing items these days, it seems to actually be large rather than extra-large or medium. The quality is seen in the way it is cut and it’s fitting – it’s as flattering as a fleece hoody is likely to get.
Slightly under-sized
From an established brand and of a known design, this “Berghaus Men’s Logo Full Zip Fleece Jacket” is available in three colours, mid-grey, black and dusk (midnight blue) and sizes up to 3XL. Fully zipped, there are two kangaroo pockets either side at about waist level that could be used for storage or as hand warmers.
The fibre make-up is a poly-cotton mix with 5% elastane and trimmed with a slightly different balance of the same fibres.
It has a high collar plus a hood so could be used as an outer for a variety of outdoor activities, possibly adding a thin lightweight waterproof as protection against rain, snow etc. On warmer days, it could be used in the evening while on a stroll, exercising the dog, or picking up the kids after a sports match if you were not watching them play.
The cuffs and waist are more fitted than the main portion of the garment as additional cold-proofing and for comfort. Worn over a very light T-shirt for the initial trial fitting, it was found to be uncomfortably tight and, although it was the suggested size and presumably based on previous clothing orders, the next larger size would probably have been ideal and offer greater comfort.
The fabric is soft and atypical of cheaper fleeces with sherpa linings which this does not have; the finish on the inner and outer surfaces is very similar.
Pricing was not given but is expected to be typical of others expected from the brand, about 80-90!

The perfect hoodie
I have been wearing this hoodie weekly, for 2-3 days a week in the last month, as I really like it so much and enjoy wearing it. The quality is definitely premium and matches or even surpasses hoodies within the same price range.
The dark green colour is equally appealing, with the logo in the middle not taking a huge space. The build quality is decent and although this has already been washed 5-6 times, it is still as intact as I first got it.
It provides enough warmth on a cold day indoor. I wore it outside twice and it felt comfortable. It goes well either with joggers or jeans, and can be good either as a casual or smart casual outfit.
Very satisfied with this hoodie and definitely worth it.
Absolutely gorgeous hoody.
The material, whilst nice and soft, is thinner than expected, I’ve had a hoody similar and it was fairly thicker than this one.
It is well made, stitched nicely, no loose threads or untidy corners. No irritating labels.
The sizing is perfect, even for those with broad shoulders, it’s quite complimentary on, no matter your size really.
I would recommend it. My partner really likes it , it’s lovely on and made well.

I’m a small in t-shirt size but opted for a Medium on this hoodie as I didn’t want it to be tight. I’m pleased to say that the hoodie fits really nicely, and it isn’t too baggy. It’s very soft inside and has a nice texture on the outside. It is fairly thick and keeps me nice and warm. The design looks really smart-casual and it seems well made. This is a good quality product and I’m tempted to buy another one!
A perfect fit and the quality is as expected, just awesome.
Berghaus Men’s Logo Fleece Jacket – Ivy Green Medium size
I’m a medium size in tops and thus ordered a medium in this jacket and it fits just right, not too long, tight or short, spot on which is what I normally find with Berghaus garments.
A reviewer on here states that they’ve reviewed this product and used it as the manufacturer intended, I’ve looked at the product description and I can’t find any ‘intended purposes’ for this fleece jacket, do they mean hiking up Snowdonia or climbing Mount Everest? I don’t know but I’ve worn this to walk down to my local corner shop so I wonder if that counts 🙂
Back to the fleece jacket, this is nicely made and you can immediately tell the superior quality by just fetching it out of the packaging. The Ivy Green is just lovely, matches my Berghaus jacket that I’ve actually had now for 10 years, yes 10 years, it’ still going after all this time and I regularly use it in the Autumn and Winter months. Even T-shirts from this company last forever, unless you grow out of them of course then they won’t.
The stitching on the fleece is perfect all round, the ribbed hem and cuffs are perfect for the cold winter wind that we get and you sure can feel the difference between this Berghaus fleece and a cheaper garment, I have a few.
The material constitutes are 73% Cotton / 22% Polyester / 5% Elastane / Trim: 58% Cotton / 39% Polyester / 3% Elastane, I copied and pasted that from the description just in case you forgot or didn’t get to read it 🙂
The breathability is extremely good, you don’t get overly stuffy in this top yet it keeps you warm and acts as a very good wind barrier.
So for us normal folks that wear our Berghaus tops to go to the shops in then this is a very smart, good looking, comfortable fleece, if driving and not walking, then you don’t really need to take your coat with you as this top is quite sufficient to keep you warm, sorry all you fitness and mountain climbing dudes but some of us drive wearing these tops. Just check to ensure no rain is forecast because even though this fleece will keep you warm it isn’t waterproof, you’ll get soaked.
Overall, I’m happy to recommend this top, the price is normal I’m afraid, all Berghaus clothing is expensive but you do get what you pay for and they do last, take my old jacket for instance!

Excellent thick quality
This is the perefect hoodie which you can slip on to keep warm. It has a casual classic look but I am impressed with the quality of the material. It is thick and the lining is soft with great insulation. I loike to usually have a t-shirt underneath as tops like this can make my skin feel very itchy but this is the first time I can wear it without one. It has a pull string hoodie and is a loose fit. I have managed to wach it twice so far and it has maintained the shape but I do not tumble dry it. I like the olive green colour, it goes with all my jean colours. Can be used for sport to keep warm as well. I really like this top, the branding on the front isn’t too distracting and the hoodie is one of the most premium hoodie based jackets I have owned. Top marks for this one.
Looks good; fits well
This looks fabulous in green, really smart. Medium size fits my medium sized frame perfectly, with unrestricted movement. It’s warm with a kangaroo pocket.
I especially like the hood — the double thick material ensures that it doesn’t hang flaccid down your back and stays up around your neck. The drawstrings allow you to pull it in tight over your head.
It’s been through the wash a couple of times at 40 degrees and for this sort of garment I definitely recommend putting it inside a mesh wash bag — it stops other more abrasive materials (i.e denim) rubbing against it, keeping it in tip top condition. It can be tumbled dried but again, to keep it looking smart I leave it out to dry on a clothes maid. It can also be ironed but the crease naturally fall out after you’ve been wearing it for a few minutes.
Effective in sub-zero conditions and windchill.
As a daily hiker and walker with many years and indeed many miles on the clock, I’m no stranger to Berghaus and have many garments that have survived as many years and got me through some tough situations. They’re a brand that knows what they’re doing and that knowledge, and experience shine through when battling against the elements and terrain.
This hooded sweater is no different and provides an effective layer that not only defends against the cold, but it defends against the harsh winds that usually follow.
It breathes well thanks to the high cotton content and doesn’t fall to pieces or lose its shape after a couple of washes thanks to the poly and elastane content.

I’m an (XL) but I could have sized down to an (L) as the fit is relatively generous even with a base layer. I’m a 46″ chest dad bod type so depending on your height, build and frame type it may be best to consider how loose you’d like the fit before ordering.

The weave and composition are tight and close which has so far done a great job of keeping me warm in January temperatures hovering at around 0 degrees and below at higher altitudes. It’s very well-made and the stitching is impressive.
Now unlike some reviewers, I test my products thoroughly and use them as the manufacturer intended. I’m happy to recommend this sweater as it performs as well as it looks, and is of the quality I expect from Berghaus. Just make sure to consider the type of fit you require and maybe choose a size down if you require that fit to be tighter.
Awesome quality and very sof
Always loved Berghaus and their products. This haven’t changed with this hoodie.
I’ve got the ivy green, for me it’s more like an olive green though. Great colour and the fabric is awesome. Soft and thick, perfect for winter, or even summer evenings just with a top underneath.
Like the large hoodie and the extra large pockets at the front. There’s elasticated hem at the bottom and the cuff area. The string which goes through the hood is not black like on the photos, but matching olive green which I actually prefer more. The stitching is great and while it’s not cheap, it’s great quality which will last for a long tieme.
The company’s aim is to reduce their carbon footprint by 25% by 2025 and plant lots of trees and aiming to be fully carbon neutral by 2030.

Like the color and fits perfectly. Size guide helped me a lot. The material feels very comfortable and the design looks amazing.
I wore it during my recent hike, it somehow help me to stay warm and covered from the sun. It fits perfectly well and looks great on me. Good quality, comfortable and nicely design.
Would love to buy more of the same but in different colors.
Warm and cosy hoody
This is a mostly a great hoody. It’s really warm and cosy, with super soft fleece lining.
The ribbed cuffs and hem are perfect. The fit is true to size, roomy but not baggy. The embroidered logo is very well stitched and looks good.
Sadly there was an obvious unfinished thread at on end of the kangaroo pocket (see photo) which you don’t expect on a premium priced hoody. The hood cords are flat and thin shoelaces – only a detail, but again, a bit disappointing for a premium priced hoody.
Pricey but well made
At over 70, this is a tad expensive IMO. But it is well made and if you must have a brand, this logo stands out as well as having mountaineering credibility. It is a not very generous medium size either, so go up a size
Not cheap but very comfy
I’ve been offered size XL, green hoodie so took the risk. I’m size L but when tried this hoodie, it wasnt that big like I expected.. It actually fit me comfortably and I can wear something underneath too.
Fabric is lovely, soft but not much stretchy. Only the hem elastic and sleeve cuffs are stretchy.
Pocket on the middle is very helpful and I always prefer that type of pocket. Its spacious too. Hood is lined with the same material as outer fabric (cotton, polyester and elastan). Hoodie is fleece lined from inside and it makes me feel very warm and cosy.
The brand logo Berghaus looks great on the chest, well crafted. Wife washed this jumper and is in ideal new condition, soft and perfect.
The price is very high though.. but jumper is fantastic, I love it.
