I already own several of these plugs and one of them had failed on the USB ports, so it was a like for like replacement, they are not as compact as a standard plug to fit into the back box.

Though compact, it solved the issue with having to use an adapter.

Extremely simple to fit, just connect today’s coloured wires to the corresponding coloured connection. It works a treat.

I bought two of these sockets to replace the original one-gang sockets in a Bailey Pageant caravan. It was becoming annoying having the limited number of mains sockets taken up by phone chargers when staying in the caravan, so I thought being able to charge two devices at once from each socket, whilst still being able to plug in another mains applicance, was very useful.

Installation was a doddle and the sockets fitted perfectly in place of the old ones.

Only had them a few months, but so far so good.

These look nice but are utterly useless as they don’t function I placed a tester before and after on three of these and there is a lack of continuity electrically on every one these do not work.

Like the finish and the whole construction is very solid. Slightly confusing instructions with indications of where the USB wires go – completely unnecessary when connecting to a standard 3 core earthed power supply.

I like the product, the only issue I had was installation. The first one took a lot longer than it should have, maybe due to where the terminals are on the rear of the socket and having to faff about with the main wires. Second one went in easier. Good product recommended.

I needed a low profile, aingle socket for a walk in wardrobe. One of the doors is quite tight to the wall when opening but the socket has a small profile out from the wall, which is quite unexpected for usb sockets. I’m using the usb to run led lights and the socket is handy for when I need appliances plugged in.

I have an electric bike, so I can charge the battery while also charging the USB devices at the same time I have on my bike. The on off switch only works for the plug, so there is power always going threw the USB leads. So if not in the same room, you have to keep an eye on the USB devices when charging. Was very easy to fit, the hard part was getting the old socket off.

Good quality switches. arrived very quickly. As a couple of the other reviews state the amount of equipment in the back to accommodate the USB ports makes it very tight and quite fiddly to fit. but if you take your time you can get there. Fittings look very solid and it feels substantial. All items are clearly marked. If you really are an amateur then you may want to get a more experienced DIYer to help, but overall a good things and no real problems for the sensibly headed.

Bought this to replace a fused connection unit for our bathroom shower controller which was installed in an adjacent airing cupboard. A fused connection point for this application made absolutely no sense to me (we seem to have a lot of FCUs in the UK… I never see them anywhere else in the world – I’m sure a qualified electrician will put me right as to why) as the shower controller needs disconnecting for periodic servicing… so I just swapped it out for this and stuck a 3-pin plug on the shower controller… which makes it much easier to uninstall, plus I get a couple of USB charge / power points. Looks okay enough (bothered…? It’s in a cupboard) and was easy to install. Was decent value and it seems to work well. Can’t fault it, so… recommended.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersGreat, works well so far: Ok not MK quality but fair:
Arrived with all the parts required, including screws (though these may not be long enough if you use the extension plate, see below), extension plate and white screw hole fillers.
Fairly easy to fit, though as with all these USB plugs they will extrude MORE, so requires a deeper back box; this is supplied with a standoff extension plate to assist fitting to a shallow depth back box but is very tight: this will also make it protrude.
The design is not the nicest, though perfectly adequate.
-some reviews noted that the Live/Neutral terminals were close, on my model this (may) have been revised as was not the case.
-some reviews also claim this USB part does not last very long, can not comment as only just installed.
MK quality this is not (sadly MK do not make a single socket usb) but is perfectly adequate.

ice quality brushed aluminium socket. The USB sockets work really well with a decent power output.. unlike some other types of USB sockets which take an age to charge anything you plug into them.

Have tried other similar products and all of them had terrible USB power circuits – phone wouldn’t charge, touchscreen wouldn’t work when it was plugged in, etc. Pleased to report that this one actually works. Perfectly.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersIt was time to get rid of usb adaptors of various types and have a neater more 21st century look. These (I bought another shortly afterwards) look good and have performed perfectly. Fitting is easy, or rather would be if my house had not been built in the late 70’s when metrication was not well advanced, the problem was that the existing patress (?) boxes into which the socket is fixed were threaded for British Standard and the supplied screws are metric. The problem sorted itself as once the tip of the screw was engaged (a bit of a faff) and with the need for quite a little energy turning the screwdriver the screws cut themselves a new thread. Why aren’t all screws Philips head instead of slotted it makes life so much easier and means a power screw driver can be used whereas with slotted it keeps slipping off the screw head. None of these minor problems and irritations is down to the Nexus product. This has performed exactly as I would hope. I’ve fitted them to ring mains and found plenty of room to get 2 or 3 wires into each terminal. The one thing I can blame Nexus for (well sort of) is that the sockets overall size is a few mm smaller than those I replaced and as I had papered up to the old sockets rather than under them there is now a small 2-3mm gap around each socket. This was not the case on the double socket which replaced an existing one from the same stable as the old singles. Fortunately the sockets are concealed by furniture so not a problem. You might want to check out dimensions and get hold of the correct screws if needed.
