Really happy with these we put them on top of my girls swings as everyday there was a lot of poo all over their seats. We put these up and apart from on pigeon getting the shock of his life when he sat down we haven’t had any pigeons near the swings and no more poo

Works exactly as it should and reasonably robust. I attached these along the center rail of my greenhouse to stop the pigeons pooping all over the glass. Stuck down with clear silicone sealant they are working perfectly.

The pack comes fully disassembled so the wires have to be individually poked through the base rail. Takes about 20 mins to do all of them but important to realise that the wires that go perpendicular to the rail should be inserted second so the rail sits flat. Otherwise add ten minutes to the assembly time while you swap the wires about. I’d also recommend safety glasses during assembly “just in case” as it’s easy to lose grip on the spring-steel wires and launch them in a random direction.

GREAT for stopping birds sit and soil the windowsill. It completely deters them. Stick with some adhesive silicone and the are very sturdy. Amazing if you have a pigeon problem

Yep pretty good. Easy to assemble, just be careful when flexing the wires to put into the plastic, they can slip out of you hand and ping anywhere. So a firm grip is required when placing the wires into the plastic. But once assembled, they are easy to locate, and I used some small screws to fix to the top of my pergola. Haven’t seen a pidgeon since !

It works. Pigeons have found another roosting place in the laurels. No poo on the decking

Was not sure if these would work. They are slightly fiddly but worth it in the end. The product worked and I purchased more.

Easy to assemble but wear glasses as advised because the spikes are springy.
Easy to fit with a waterproof mastic adhesive
No pigeon problems since fitted. Dropping free doorstep

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersGreat product but not so easy to put it together. The holes are too tight for wires to go through, one slipped from my hand and shot in my eye. I’m lucky to not have lost my eye. If you choose to buy the product please beware and take extra cautio

5.0 out of 5 stars Great product but not so great putting it together. Beware

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersI bought these to try and stop the cats from walking along my fence and then jumping into the garden, now they are for stopping pigeons landing on the fence and I must say i never saw a pigeon on my fence but my main purpose was for the cat prevention. The ones I had didn’t use adhesive they had tiny screws that you’d screw into the plastic base into the top of the fence which I suppose took a while and if your trying to get the spikes on the fence before your neighbour sees you it’s not a quick thing. Once the spikes were in place they sort of stopped the cats but what i did notice is that they still walked along the top of my fence but once in the garden they couldn’t jump up the fence towards where the spikes were as they couldn’t get past or over them. Now the trouble that followed was the neighbour complained to the council and even though the fence panels are bought and paid for by myself the panels and posts were still on the council boundary, if I wanted to move panels and posts and gravel boards 6″ back towards my property then the spikes could stay as it’s on my boundary , so in short I had to remove the spikes , but they do work but make sure your fence is on your side of the boundary and they should stop pigeons and any other animal but will probably annoy the neighbou

Must have read the description wrong as i was not expecting to assemble these myself. On the instructions i followed steps 1 and 2 but step 3 hurt my hands so after 2 i pulled the wires through with my fingers, no more pain.

This product is great, it takes a little time to push the spikes through the holes but once it’s done it plane sailing, its easy to install by screwing them down into your fence panels or if you choose to use clips for putting this item on the gutter around your home like myself , you will need 4 bags of clips for the 12 strip’s of spikes in the box and that’s another 20 or go to screwfix for the clips for around 8 to10 for 20 / 30 in a bag.

    Kept the pigeons away. Pleased.
Be aware of the spikes in your face/eyes if they will be at head height – can be lethal!!

The plastic base of the spikes actually sparkles in the sunlight. Looks nice.

It certainly fulfilled the reason for using it, although I didn’t expect to have to assemble the strips. However that was quite easy once I had got started. I’ve used them to prevent birds perching on my back staircase wall and making a mess of the wall.

These do not have adhesion so you will need something to stick them down with.

They are quick to build and can be made to measure specific lengths.

They are not the thickest and some birds will just ignore them.. This can be avoided if you double up with them.

In conclusion they are okay but not the best.

    Installed fine, look good.
However, a few days later, I spot a alpha pigeon strutting through the centre of the spikes (I assume he was on the way to the gym, but left his shades in the nest), so a little modding was needed by bending the spikes to be a bit closer.

There are two versions of this device. This one you have to assemble yourself. I had no difficulty with that and it did not take me long and no tools were needed. There is a version that is pre-assembled for another 10 but the snag with that is that if you don’t use it all the leftovers are bulky to store. In the past, I have bought the pre-assembled version and used the special bird-safe adhesive. It was fantastic at keeping the pigeons from sitting on the roof and making a mess on the veranda. HIghly recommended. My current application is to keep the squirrels off the bird table and that is more of a challenge. Just having a slippery surface and having spikes sticking out did not work so I have had to add spikes pointing downwards too. They are amazing animals squirrels but I want to feed the birds!

5.0 out of 5 stars easy to store

Excellent product but very poor instructions. Pay attention to the colours of the rubber bands! Put the ones that go along the length of the plastic strip into the cross-shaped gaps before the perpendicular ones! Add another 11 for the glue. Despite these annoyances the number of pigeons on the roof (and actually overall in my garden) is markedly down since I put these up a few weeks ago. Splendid!

5.0 out of 5 stars Very effective

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersRead the description – I got exactly what was specified, 3m of strips, in 12 * 25cm lengths (which can be easily split into smaller sections to fit small spaces). Yes, they need assembly, but it really isn’t difficult, so don’t complain about that:
    – hold one of metal spikes (note the angled side, and alternate orientation)
    – locate the side of the plastic strip with the groove – thats the bottom, where the loop fits flush
    – bend the spike and
    – feed it through the two holes
    – push it all the way in; it’ll spring into place (butbe careful before then as it might spring back and take your eye out)
Repeat until the strip is full (10 springs per 25cm length), alternating the direction of the bend in the spike for maximum effect
Fix to the surface – the description suggests using some kind of glue, but I’m using small brass screws as there are pre-formed hole in the plastic.

The only reason I havent given these 5* is because of the plastic used; I suspect it will degrade over time in sunlight, so they wont last forever. But given the price compared to commercial use ones, who’s complaining.

These do work for keeping pigeons away and easy to use.

My only issue was that there wasn’t enough spikes in the box to match the number of strips…Real shame.

Don’t worry if you like cats these will not harm them but it certainly will deter them. Didn’t get enough metal spikes to fill all the holes but after contacting supplier, they have taken this comment on board so you should from July get enough metal spikes to fill all holes and this will help deter everything you need to, don’t waste your on brown plastic strip products this one work brilliantly and supplier was so helpful

I had to add these to a large pipe at the side of the house. I was a little concerned with them being flat bottomed but silicone held the fine, another option would be cable ties.

The product is well made, the strips can be snapped down in to individual pieces for the perfect fit. Spike will also fit along the length and width for full coverage.

Some assembly required for obvious packaging reasons.

    No adhesive is provided

Have (fingers crossed!) not yet secured it as it fits so neatly into the particular dimensions of my gutter. I suspect that in my case it would need gusts in excess of severe gale force to cause any noticeable movement. Had my gutters cleaned prior to assembling (VERY easily) the units, and have since had a far more peaceful existence. Would recommend in the highest terms

I used screws to attach these as they were going on wood. Easy to assemble but you have to make sure you put them all the way in as they can spring back at you as you put the spikes through the plastic.

Haven’t used the spikes yet as when I opened the box, no adhesive. In the advert nowhere did it mention, except on the box when it arrived, that there was no adhesive. BUYERS BEWARE

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersYes they do the job of keeping Pigeons off my fence and shed .However the instructions should have been clearer on assembly on the 4 way option , if you put the 2 spike in length way first followed by 2 spikes cross ways they insert smothery into the plastic base . I then screwed the plastic strips to a baton which I fitted on top of the fence much to my neighbours annoyance
