The inner blade is plastic but can still cut your skin if it's creased or folded and you press to hard. The good thing is you can't feel it. IT WORKS well, just oil it first.

There are quite a few things I like about this shave- the power left indicator, the USB charging and the light function (which i first thought might be annoying-but is actually useful). I like this shaver- it occasionally catches a hair or two -but other than that it is good for the price.
