Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI bought this to use with my hammer drill (to run 15mm pipe as conduit through the wall) so that I could fit an outdoor double socket with wifi extender for my garden. Using 15mm pvc pipe as conduit is much easier than trying to poke cable through walls with cavity insulation.
There aren’t many drill bits this size that fit a “normal” drill so I was pleased to find this one.
I added a spur from the socket beneath my kitchen sink. My kitchen was all totally rewired during an extension a few years ago, so I’d photographed the build at different stages. The 2nd fix electrics pics, showing cable layouts, confirmed to me that adding a spur would be totally fine.
This drill bit cut through the inner block wall like butter but when it hit the outer brick wall it struggled. However, I persisted with it, pushing the drill as much as I could and with patience (& lots of effort on my part) it did eventually cut through the brick wall.
I’m a woman, so I know I don’t have as much strength as a bloke, but I have lots of DIY experience and this drill bit isn’t the best quality. I’m sure it shouldn’t have been as difficult to drill one small hole through brickwork. Some years ago, I hired a diamond core drill kit to cut through my old kitchen wall to install a tumble dryer vent. That diamond core drill did cut through the bricks very easily; such a contrast to this drill bit!
The end of this drill bit was blunt by the end, so it was single use in my case.
    The positives are:
    * It did the job.
    * It’s much cheaper than hiring a tradesman.
I would recommend this drill bit for single use.

I used this drill bit for installing two ground anchors in the concrete floor of my garage.

Admittedly, this was just four holes in total but it took just minutes to do and there’s still life left in the drill bi

I drilled 3/16 inch holes in 1/4 inch thick shower wall tiles to install safety bars. Took about 15 minutes per hole alternating between this bit, a diamond bit, and a carbide arrow-masonry bit to allow the bits to cool. None of the bits did a great job.

Initially thought expensive, but it drilled through brick a treat! Doesn’t say in details but this is tapered at the bottom for a 13mm Chuck, as is in a standard drill.

Does the job. I’ve only drilled two holes with it so far so can’t comment on longevity. It did manage to cope however with two full length (100mm) holes in harder than usual concrete blocks.

Be aware that the advertised length is the total length including the shank that goes into the drill chuck, the actual useful length of the drill bit is closer to 100mm.

Harder work than I expected going through concrete block but the instructions advised not to set the Bosch hammer drill going too quickly and perhaps I didn’t go fast enough. Worked OK, though, and looks good for further holes if I need them.

Needed to put two shallow holes in concrete. used 6 and 10mm pilot holes before putting this one in.

Did the job, but ended up chipped and dull after a very short usage. The concrete was a bit of conglomerate though, so in that sense the bit did an admirable job of going through some small rocks.

This bit fits a standard Black and Decker home keyless chuck drill.
The end that fits into the drill is narrower than the main body.
I had already started a hole with a smaller drill bit that did not go all the way through the wall but this just cut straight through, enlarging the hole and easily going right through.
I used this to drill a hole in my shed wall in preparation for some 16mm armoured cable for external power.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersBosch stuff recently has been quite poor when it used to be top end, this however I have used to put around 50 wall anchors into very dense cement block construction and doesn’t look used. Loses a star because the chuck end is smoothly round and a lot of bits I use now have a flat edge or are hex to prevent slipping in in the drill.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis is high quality steel, cuts through concrete no problem without becoming instantly blunt as some of the cheaper alternatives do. I dip it into water every few seconds of drilling to prevent overheating. It seems like good value.
