Great for IKEA furniture but missing 2 important featured
IXO 7 is very handy little tool.
On the positive side it has long battery life and good torque for it’s size. There are several adapters that improve the usefulness of the device .
On the negative
a) it still uses the outdated USB A instead of the USB C charging port. This is fixed in BOSCH GO 3 ( not yet available in EU)
b) there is no torque adjustment and it is possible to over tighten some screws which could lead to issues especially when working on PC components. There is an adapter that fixes that for about 15 euros but you can’t use the angle adapter (or any another adapter) when using the torque control adapter
c) the bit holder does not have a strong magnet and bits often disengage especially if you over tighten screws

Dieser Akkuschraiber erleichtert das Handwerken erheblich! Er ist handlich, sehr leicht und krftig genug fr die meisten ‘Schraubaufgaben’. Miene volle Empfehlung. Wie konnte ich nur frher ohne dieses Teil auskommen?
Als jemand, der regelmig DIY-Projekte durchfhrt, war ich auf der Suche nach einem handlichen und zuverlssigen Akkuschrauber, der meine Anforderungen an Leistung und Benutzerfreundlichkeit erfllt. Der Bosch Akkuschrauber IXO der 7. Generation schien genau das zu sein, wonach ich gesucht habe, und ich bin froh, sagen zu knnen, dass er meine Erwartungen bertroffen hat.

Er liegt gut in der Hand und ist leicht genug, um auch bei lngeren Arbeiten komfortabel verwendet zu werden. Trs bon tournevis lectrique lg maniable la puissance suffisante pour monter des meubles ou alors mettre des vis dans une cheville aprs avoir per je vais acheter d’autre accessoires pour le complter renvoie d’angle ect il ira trs bien en complment de mon Bosch easy hammer pour aller faire des petits fixation sa prend pas de place dans un sac a dos a outils quand tu bricole et te dplace en transport en commun c’est nikel
War erst skeptisch, wie so ein kleines Gert, zur Montage von Mbeln etc. dienen sollte. Ich war so berrascht, nach dem ersten Einsatz, das ich mir gleich noch Wohnungsinventar zum Selbstaufbau gekauft habe um weiter diesen kleinen Akkuschrauber zu nutzen. Er macht so viel Freude, man kommt auf Grund der Gre, des geringen Gewichtes und des guten Handling, auch in kleine unzugngliche Ecken zum montieren. Die Akkuleistung ist vllig ausreichend, habe damit einen Schuhschrank und Garderobe montiert, ohne aufzuladen. Wirklich viel Power. Zum Einsatz fr Mbel Montage ist er sein Geld wert. Das mitgelieferte Zubehr ist vllig ausreichend. Klare Kaufempfehlung
IXO 5th generation srewdrive
I already owned the IXO 6 Generation and bought this model solely because of its extremely low price at the time. Very good quality and so easy and efficient to use.
Super handy for around the house
I have had one of these for +10 years, really useful around the house for furniture assembly, diy etc, and am amazed by the size of screws it will drive. Bought this as house warming gift for sister which she loves – guaranteed to be more useful than a house plant! And will last longer!

The screwdriver is good with nice speed control and enough torque for light tasks.
Don’t like – came as a presold item. Obviously opened before and clear Amazon warehouse sticker on it. THIS WAS NOT CLEAR WHEN ORDERING!!
I love this hand screw driver so much! I use it all the time! It hold charge well and handles resistance from tight screws. You can buy other attachments for it but has a good selection with it in the case, easy to store away and any additional attachments can be skipped in the open compartment inside where the wires are. If this one breaks I will buy another one in a shot.
My husband is new to DIY and still trying hands to mend different things at home. He is quite happy with this tool and it eases his job to a great extent. Saves a lot of time
And perfect speed control is the best feature it contains. He loves to find excuses to use it these days and for me that’s a great win win – as I don’t need to remind him to fix things that needs mending.
I’m on my second one of these as I thought I had lost the first. No longer comes with a charging dock but has a usb charger. Use it all the time even thought I have dewalt 18v impact drivers.
Versatile and compact electric screwdriver kit with attachments.
I have a previous generation Bosch IXO Screwdriver which has been rendered useless because the plug lead to the charger has frayed and snapped! A replacement charging unit was nearly as expensive as this latest version of the IXO Screwdriver, so I decided to upgrade since it it a USB charging system. It comes with a selection of bits and also a handy carrying case which my other screwdriver did not have.
I bought this Bosch cordless screwdriver because I’ve bought a flat pack bedroom wardrobe. The battery lasts a long time, definitely long enough to build a 6 door, multi shelved wardrobe with drawers etc. I included the attachments too, right angle and close to the edge end bits. You can always count on great quality and longevity with Bosch. You might pay more but you get an excellent tool. Recommended.
Reliability, durability and ease of use.
Quick charging, and not bulky like many of it’s contemporaries.
I bought this to replace a series 1 model which I have had for many years and have passed on to my friend, because through constant use, the battery is not holding as much charge for my needs. It’s gone to a good home.
This sits alongside my Festool 10.8v drill/driver (at 5x the price of this driver) and both get used with pleasure and equal respect.
I bought this IXO 6th generation screwdriver because it is lightweight. Even the Festool is lumpy by comparison (1080 grammes with the chuck attached). I spend much of my time doing bespoke picture framing, and need something with a good power to weight ratio. And this little Bosch is just perfect.
Why do cordless power tools all weigh 1kg or over? Some considerably more if you put a big battery on. And they are mostly intended for use with just one hand. That’s quite a lump, and gives me RSI/wrist strain. This Bosch is 380 grammes, including a short screwdriver extender and the screwdriver bit; fantastic.
This 6th generation is variable speed (some of the previous versions aren’t), and starts very slowly with a slight squeeze of the trigger, great for small screws and getting the bit properly engaged into the screw. It’ll easily drive 4mm x 25mm screws into a pre-drilled hole in normal softwood. Reversible by using the switch above/in front of the hand grip, which is reachable with your thumb.
I’ve had it for several months, and have only just had to recharge it!
Honestly, brilliant. so ergonomic. So many cordless drills are simply too big even for the normal man’s hand, leading to strain and injury. This Bosch sits really well in the hand, has a nice simple grip, and it gives you great confidence for fiddly jobs.
And now Bosch have introduced extras for it, like a torque control (never use torque control, prefer to ‘feel’ my way in and tighten using my own judgement, this never strips a hole with the screw ending up just going round and round) and a corkscrew !?!.
Smaller power tools like this are often under-rated. If you’re looking for something which is good value for money, this is it. For home or in the workshop.
This is my second Bosch IXO cordless screwdriver, bought at a very reasonable price during deals of the day on a whim. My previous generation IXO has been going solidly for almost a decade without any issues at all. As with most electronic items with non-replaceable internal batteries, it has been holding a little bit less charge than when it was new as expected, but still lasts long enough and with enough power to be useful so I wasn’t necessarily looking to replace it as such.
This new version has all the functionality of the previous version with a few improvements as you would expect.
First of all and for me personally as someone with fairly large hands, I found the revised placement of the direction switch a much better location to mount it. With the previous one the switch was just above the trigger and on a few occasions I found when I applied pressure in certain angles my fingers/thumb would inadvertently knock the switch out of position. On the new one it is a bigger switch and is located on the top of the tool behind the charging light making it much more user friendly and ergonomic.
Another revised feature is the new micro USB charging port located at the base of the hand grip, it achieves a more positive connection than the old charging cradle which would sometimes slip off its small charging spring clips, also being micro USB it’s much easier to find a cable to charge it since it’s a very common charging method and easily replaced if damaged/lost.
One feature that has gone slightly backwards in terms of functionality is the LED on the front of the tool. When used with the packaged rubber surround it is perfectly usable, even having 2 different settings if you rotate the cover 180 switching it between a spotlight to more of an area floodlight. It only becomes an issue if you attach any of the accessories to the front, I regularly use the offset adapter and the variable torque setting adapter, both of which completely obscure the light, not a deal breaker by any means but could of been avoided as it was on the older model being mounted slightly below the edge of the adapter.
Apart from this small gripe and to be honest it’s a very small one, I’ve found the tool to be extremely useful just as it’s older sibling has been and I’m sure will continue to be while the new one is on charge, always handy to have backup!
