This is my second CK wire cutter , the first one was stolen , I have bought them again because they are good simple as that .

Having big hands standard VDE snips pinch my fingers and dull very quick. These CK “shears” are ideal for cutting flex, singles and 10-16mm cable with ease and stay sharp. I have 2 sets of these, One for cutting and de sheathing big cable and the other set is for the finer jobs which require slight care and attention. Would recommend for anybody that can’t get on with standard snips 160mm these are 210mm which suit my handspan and grip and working techniques.

By far the sharpest and best cutters I’ve used.
I have a pair of Kline & KNIPEX but these are my go to strippers & cutters. Saved time.

Let’s hope they stay as shape.

    Downside not VDE

Had these previously from screwfix but some thieving scumbag nicked them on site. Found them on here a lot cheaper so didn’t hesitate to get another pair. Brilliant value for money.

Ideal tool for bag, solid build quality and what you would expect from CK.

Just remember it’s not VDE rated so try not to cut live cables.

Great shears nice and solid. Great cutter.

Don’t let it get wet, store in a dry place, or it will tighten up. Can be solved with W-D40 if it happens.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great shears

These are a very good and powerful tool and my only niggle is that you have to open the handles very wide to get the 10mm cable into the jaws. However the longer handles do make cutting effortless so I will live with that and save money off the more popular 6″ handle version.

To keep it short CK cutters 210mm looks down to any other cutters around . My other pair got lost. I wont even bother looking elsewhere . Most of my colleagues end up buying CK anyway after a small detour trying different brands . In the end cost them more . I always said buy once choose wisely .

Cuts through a 10.3mm diameter RG-213 easily and cleanly – a joy to use!
Some nit-picking would be that although the product is sold as cutting 11 mm maximum, it still flattened a bit the jacket and braid at one side. (see red arrow in the photo).
Again, very easy to cut thick coax and the manufacturer paid attention to detail by oiling the blades.
If the tool passes the test of time (and Amazon lets me after a few months), I will add a 5th star for “durability” as I’ve only received the tool today.

4.0 out of 5 stars Cuts through RG-213 coax (10.3mm diameter) well enough - some nitpicking?

Just a quick one. I bought the 240mm version of these cutters and they coped perfectly with 70mm2 copper multi-strand PVC coated battery cable.

They cut it effortlessly and can also be used to strip the sheathing without damaging a single strand of the copper, if you’re careful of course.

They might go up to 95mm2, but the overall diameter of the cable including the sheathing would probably be just a bit too big for the opening of the jaws.

    Highly recommended.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersHonestly don’t like CK tools, overpriced and poorly made in comparison with brands like wera, wiha or bacho but when faced with a world where everything is in 4 or 6mm FP or has more than 3 cores then you need bigger cutters and sadly these are probably the best out there.
They would get 5 stars if they were made by another brand but still cant get over my loathing of CK.

I use these as my day to day snips. Great at cutting through large cable, Can also use the rounded ‘blade’ to easily strip any sized cable (they are so sharp you need to get used to not cut straight through the conductor). They wear fairly quickly when used all the time (i go through around 1 pair every 2 months (more if i chop something live :/ )). I always carry a few pairs with me, will not use anything else, never felt the electrons through em, so who cares for the 1000v rubbish! When going for the 8inch ones they feel big compared to ‘normal’ sized ones, but once used to them they do feel nice in the hand

I wasn’t sure whether to buy this cutter as it seemed a little pricey. However, I did and I was surprised by how good it is.

It took a while to get used to the sharpness. I accidentally chopped the end off several pieces of wire when all I wanted to do was strip the insulation. Once you get used to it though, it is very effective.

It will make light work of just about any mains cable you are likely to find in the house. I have only had it for a couple of months and don’t use it very often but it is still working just as well as on delivery day. I knocked off one star for the price.
