The scale is nice and looks how it does on the image. My only negative is that is very slow. It’s not very responsive when you press ‘tare’ it takes a few attempts. The dial takes awhile to show ‘0’. The batteries in mine were low also so I had to replace.
For the price I’ve paid it’s fine as a spare.

This is a nice looking scales which replaced my ‘old fashioned’ one. Its light and modern and fits in nicely if your kitchen has a modern feel and look.

Its battery operated (batteries supplied) which is fine, but I would prefer to have all my electronics rechargeable. On the performance side, it’s very accurate and quick. So I am happy with them, especially when it comes to baking and needing the accuracy

Battery operated with two flat cell batteries that are already installed; you just need to remove the plastic tab covering them and you’re good to go straight from the box. A nice small platform made from tempered glass that won’t break easily and is so easy to wipe clean after use. It’s a really simple elegant design and you can switch between metric and imperial with a very clear, easy to read display

A lovely set of scales with a very clear display. The scales are accurate, and the weighing plate is big enough for a cake bowl. Easy to set up, and the two button batteries are standard sized, well secured, and provided. These scales are so easy to wipe clean. Smart looking, accurate, easy to use, easy to clean I like these scales a lot.

This is a very attractive kitchen scale. It looks modern, made of tampered glass it is tough and very shiny. The display, which is situated on the right handside, is a decent size to read too. The scales are rectangle. The scales work off two button batteries in the back of the scales. Access is very easy to them you don’t need a screwdriver. The batteries are supplied and just require the tag pulling out to activate the scales. Thr scales work in metric and imperial weights and seem to be accurate.
    Lovely addition to the kitchen.

Unlike a previous reviewer’s experience, this set of kitchen scales matched the picture exactly – being a rather lovely white colour.

It has a fairly large footprint – not a bad thing – but is slim and sleek and stylish.

Good accuracy too – I tested it against a set of scales I know to be spot-on, and they almost matched their performance.

5 Kg Kitchen Weighing Scales. Digital LCD weight display. 15.99.

These scales are so much better and more accurate than my old scales. They are sleek, modern and slim. They weigh up to 5kg – thankfully in imperial units as well as metric. So easy to clean and they look great in my kitchen.

This is a smart kitchen scales that takes up little space, works really well and is very accurate. Ten out of ten.

The Calitek 5kg Kitchen Weighing Scales has a nice modern look with its glass surface accented by black and mirrored finishes. The glass top makes the scale is easy to wipe clean.

It is also nice and slim and packs away in a cupboard easily – its roughly 22 x 19 x about 2cm, It has a horizontal layout with the weighing surface to the left of the screen. In the box its fitted with the two CR2032 batteries it needs to run; isolated from the electrics by a pull plastic tab. The manual says the device warns with a display of LO when the batteries need replacing. If you are worried about replacing the batteries it auto powers off in a minute which should keep you going for longer if you forget to turn it off.

The screen is clear and easy to read On a flat level surface; I tared off on a measuring cylinder. After that I tried 50 to 500ml in in 50ml (=gram) intervals. The scale gave readings the least accurate overweighed the water by 3% of the 300g that was in the flask. Im not sure how much about 9g matters to you in your weighing. On a 2kg bottle of water; it was about 13g out -which is about 1%- between a full and empty bottle. That 1% reading is far better than the Manuals target accuracy +/- 3%. If you need something super accurate (or need to measure partial grams) I would look elsewhere. If you are using it to make coffee or cakes its plenty good enough.

If you aren’t metric you can use lbs, ml or fluid ounces.

So why 4*’s. I found that the tare button was indiosynchratic, sometimes it included the weight of my pushing the one / off / tare button in the tare – so it ended up being negative. It probably should have been its own button away from power; as when the tare was wrong I then often pressed too long and the unit shut down. The on/ off and measure buttons all work just fine. Tare sometimes took a few attempts.

In the end; its a reasonable price for an accurate modern looking scale.
