Surely it cant be that easy to fit ???…oh yes it was…even though I had a large space to work with it was done literally in seconds. Even the phone link up bit was fine. Am very happy with the product and would recommend it!

Highly recommend this but of kit. Easy to fit, accurate location and notifications.

I received notifications saying the engine had started and car was moving whilst I was away. I phoned the police straight away and was able to give them the location of my car, it was recovered within an hour and returned the following day.

If I didn’t have carlock tracker, I wouldn’t of known my car was stolen until the following day when I got home.

Works great as a tracker it’s very accurate with GPS and driving style notifications. But the vibration detection could have been a bit better I can rock the car gently or get in it with no alert but if I slam a door or rock the car quite hard it sends an alert so I guess it should detect someone breaking in. But I think having a sensitivity option would be a great addition to the features. But it does give good peace of mind especially if someone borrows your car as you can see how they drove it.
And it’s 6.99 a month basic plan or 7.99 a month standard plan.

Fantastic bit of kit dose what it says fitted with in 4 minutes picked up the satellites within 1 minute parked outside my house and received the current location in seconds absolutely perfect and no more worrying about the car.

After purchasing a sports coupe I decided I needed added security protection and decided to purchase a tracker. The Carlock was competatively priced and easy to install. I didn’t connect to the battery as per the instructions, I connected it making it difficult to find. The Carlock mobile app works great and logs your trips, speed etc and ifthe car was to be stolen an alarm would sound and I could follow the cars location via the map on the app.

I also purchased the Carlock Tag which enables & disarms the tracker automatically and there is a small monthly subscription for this service. I have found this a little hit and miss and it hasn’t disarmed the tracker making the alarm on my mobile to go off on several occassions as I have been driving.

The one posotive with this is I know that the trackeris doing it’s job.

Saw a few videos online for Carlock and read the reviews which were mostly positive so thought I’d get one for myself. Arrived next day and installed in minutes. Easy to set up via the app and GPS appears very accurate. On the occasions I have forgotten to deactivate Carlock prior to driving, the notifications have alerted me within seconds so appears to be doing what is supposed to do. I’ve only had it a couple of weeks, but so far I’m happy with Carlock and would recommend….especially for the price and ease of fitting and set up.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI bought this after seeing that they can be installed on classic cars without an OBD port. There was a YouTube video of a chap installing it on his Mini Cooper from the 1970s and it seemed simply enough.

And simple it was. In the box is the unit which has a 3M sticky back and two cables which attach to the battery. It’s incredibly easy to attach to the battery and then stick the box to the inside of the engine bay. The app then picks up the unit and you register. After about a day of driving around, the unit fully registered my location. It’s very accurate with the location, more so than the expensive tracker I had on a previous car.

When I park, I just set the alarm manually on the Carlock app. Then, if the engine is started or it senses any vibration, I get an alarm (and it really is quite an alarming alarm noise). It doesn’t automatically call the police or Carlock’s team, you just get the alarm and need to deal with it yourself. To be honest, I’m fine with this as with my previous tracker I had so many times when I forgot to turn it off (e.g. when going on the Channel Tunnel) that I always got phone calls. With this, I can just realise I’ve not turned the alarm off and dismiss it on my phone.

For the price, this certainly have given me better peace of mind when leaving my classic car parked.

Very Easy to install. i found this very useful, the app works well on my iPHONE. I didn’-t bother with the tag, as read that it didn’t work great. i’m happy with the fact that it arms itself after ten minutes, but only drawback is if you get stuck for example at train lines, and car engine stops, it arms itself after ten minutes. you need to disarm again with the app. then you can continue your journey.
It’s gives an extra line of security. The app is informative and easy to use. I would recommend this.
you also have the added security of the app calling or texting your phone, but that is an extra cost. I am on the Standard plan. it costs 8.95 per month. And it sends you a weekly report by email.

Fairly accurate, from around 2 weeks since being insstalled I’ve only had 2 false alarms both being yesterday 28/5/23. Install took me about 15mins to do, set up was straight forward and the app is extremely easy to read.
I have given it 4 star review as I’d like some features to be added but for the price it’s above and beyond what was expected

Very pleased with this product, it was easy to install and set up on the IOS app. I do forget to deactivate it when I start the car sometimes and get the alert, but that’s a nice problem to have.
All round great product and highly recommended.

Very easy to fit to your 12v battery using a 10mm ring spanner or you can tape the terminals on with Gorilla tape or duck tape. GPS seems to be pretty accurate to within 5 metres in my experience though I guess it depends on how many satellites it can see at any given point in time so may not work well in underground parking. It does even show which direction the car is facing sometimes which is amusing:-)
The app works well enough though I would like to see better battery voltage tracking(in terms of going back to see history) and not have to pay more for it too. The automatic 5 minute timer lock does work most of the time but there have been a few occasions when it hasn’t. I would like to try the smartlock but I can’t find where to buy the extra Bluetooth dongle you require, perhaps they should include that in the box? Overall pretty satisfied with the device and the 2g sim works well enough though I think 2g is being switched off sometime in the UK.

Easy to fit and set up with the app. Set up to 5 geo fences around your pride and joy (home, work etc). Can’t fault it so far.
One thing. Would be nice to have a motorcycle icon.
Excellent bit of kit. Buy now. You won’t be disappointed.

It’s really easy to install and the app’s extremely user friendly. It alerts you when the car starts or someone bumps into the car. The features I didn’t expect was that it not only notifies you of the above but also shows where your car is, what journeys have been made (shown on a map) but also how it was driven, speeds and gives a score out of 10. I can’t recommend CarLock enough!!!

Bought Carlock as I am converting a van into a campervan and wanted extra security.
Carlock I’d so simple to setup and was active within minutes of installing it.
I have also added the Carlock tag which arms and disarms automatically. I’ve also upgraded to the Carlock plus tariff .
All round great unit and hassle free.

Much more effective than a traditional car alarm. This is a GPS tracker with built in functionality to provide you with warnings should it detect any vibration or the car started or moved without you disarming it. Fitting it took less than 2 minutes and it was ready to run in less than 5. Very accurate location tracking. Given the price and functionality of it, I would recommend this produc

If you’re worried your car might be stolen, this will give you some peace of mind. It’s very easy to install and even if the thief finds it… it will notify you if it’s disconnected (I’ve tested it, and it works).

If they don’t notice it, you will know exactly where your car is through the app so you should be able to recover it.

I’ve had some minor issues with vibration detection, but a separate (hopefully more accurate) vibration sensor is currently being tested which should solve this problem.

Location tracking, engine start alarms, car movement alarms are all working flawlessly.

Highly recommended for the price, and simplicity of installation.

I fell in love with CarLock for so many reasons, first, it only takes few seconds to notify me when my car engine starts, I love that it doesn’t use the smart phone ringtone, bcos you can actually tell the difference btw your messages and the CarLock notification. I also love that the notification is loud bcos when am sleep it can wake me up if anything is wrong with my car. I can give so many reasons why CarLock is the very best out there and I strongly recommend it to anyone looking to safeguard their vehicle.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI’ve had this product for 3 months to date. It was very easy to install, hidden under the bonnet and not in the car with the OBD connection, easily seen. I have found it to be very sensitive in many ways , which is good when there is a vibration and when engine has started up. However, I bought the Carlock tab which didn’t work with my android phone. When installed it suppose to disarm and alarm the Carlock when arriving to the car and leaving, it didn’t work so I returned the tag. The product was update to include a virtual tag on the app dashboard. That works but if you’ve parked up and not leave your car after 10 minutes, the Carlock alarm will activate when moving off. To improve the virtual tag It needs to disarmed until you leave the car and outside a particular distance from the car and not after 10 minutes when you could be still in the car. You’ll have to disarmed the Carlock manually to avoid it going off once you’ve started the engine and moving, it makes a loud noise as well. I love the fact I can track my car while my pupils are on a driving test. It helps to learn the route and to locate the point they may have made a mistake. Good product other than what was mentioned previously.

I am absolutely delighted with CarLock and have fitted it to the classic car I just rebuilt.

It picks up vibration and the ignition being turned on so I feel safe when I leave the car.

I’ve tested it several times (occasionally by accident ) and it’s worked flawlessly every time.

    Thoroughly recommend this product.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersInstalled in a few minutes and up and working within a few more. The monitoring fee is close to 7 per month when you include the VAT. I’d imagine a knowledgeable thief will detach it in no time, but the system will send alerts when and if that happens, including the then location. I’ve backed up my car’s protection with some hidden tags and a good old steering wheel lock. Not much else I can do. I wish all the trashy car thieves out there swift police custody and a long spell behind bars. Support the blue!

Really happy with this purchased it for my Yamaha motorbike, simple to install and setup works like a charm, got the widget on my Google pixel homescreen to turn it off and one, would love the option to say hey Google arm or disarm for the times I forget to turn it off. Suppose the dongle would sort this out. The app works really well and I can leave my bike knowing it will be safe highly recommend this product worth every penny

Had this on the car a couple of months and it works quite well
I’ve paid the full subscription just now to see how it is but I think I’ll just go to the basic one as I don’t really need 15 second refresh rate
Accuracy could be better,I contacted the manufacturer and they said they’d look into it but it’s not really changed, some days it says my car is at mu address then other days its two doors up but I’m parked in the drive as usual

Golden Review Award: 34 From Our UsersThis is my second Carlock tracker. After owning the original odbii version installed to my other car I already had a a good idea of what these have to offer.

The basic tracker however is more security focused. Can be easily installed directly to the battery terminals for a semi discrete but very easy installation option but also offers the ability to hard wire anywhere else in your vehicle where you can provide a permanent live and and earth supply giving much more concealed options.

The basic subscription removes some of the driver behaviour details, trip history data and fancy dashboards within the app. But from a security perspective you get everything you need. Real time vehicle tracking, and when in armed mode you get vibration, engine start and tracker disconnected alerts. Pair the app with the Bluetooth tag and you have the potential for a fully automated arm/disarm tracking. Without the tag there is some clever logic the app can use to recognise when you’ve turned the engine off and stopped your trip and will auto arm but you have to remember to disarm manually or make use of the optional schedule feature.

The Bluetooth tag is a little hit and miss but I understand this is more of a limitation to do with iOS.

In terms of pricing the basic plan only can only be purchased on a yearly basis. Currently 70. You get a free 30 day subscription with the device.

The standard plan can be purchased yearly at 82, or you can pay monthly at 6.92pm.

I understand there will be a future option to upgrade your existing basic plan to the standard plan by just paying the difference on a monthly basis ($1pm).

Ultimately this means it’s more about which model tracker is suitable for your application as they can both support the same features.

In terms of Carlock in general and the whole service I’ve been really happy. The app receives constant development, their support team are reasonably responsive and they are always asking for user feedback which is encouraging.
