This set is gorgeous and the quality is exceptional. We play golf croquet in a serious league and this equipment is top quality! The wickets are strong and sturdy. The balls are resin but they are regulation weight (1 pound). The mallets are beautiful, professional quality. We expected to spend much more on a professional quality set, but we found this set, at just $179, to be more than satisfactory. It’s probably a step down from the equipment at the national croquet center, but it’s perfect for our lawn games. We give our equipment quite a beating, playing hard, and this set is definitely built to last. We had a customer service issue when we first ordered and we reached out to the vendor. We got a fast, friendly response and our issue was resolved immediately and very much to our satisfaction. We are thrilled. If you’re looking for a nice set, don’t hesitate to order this one.
Much better value than Jacques. Mallets, hoops, flags, post, markers and balls are all high quality. One plastic hoop clip was broken on arrival (clips should have been supplied in a small robust container) but was replaced promptly without question. (Great after sales service.) Box quality was not quite as good – I will be replacing the rope handles with nicer rope.
