This is the best ash toner i have found that actually makes it a cool ash colour and not purple. I use it every wash and then once a month i leave it on as a mask

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersFollowing Xmas funds were low so I decided to box dye, after 1.5 years of no highlights, so my roots were shocking. The inevitable happened and I was left super orange. I want a bit overboard with this toner and left it in ny hair for half an hour (and wrapped it all in cling film, not sure why but why not…) Anyway, I now have hair I can leave the house with. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolute New Year carnage saver!!!!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI am extremely picky and require perfection when it comes to bleaching and toning my hair so I had high hopes for this toner having read others reviews. I was nervous about blue tones to my hair after using this product as with previous products I’ve used resulted in blue streaks!

I followed the instructions and evenly applied to my bleach highlighted hair. The result is really noticeable, I go to my hairdresser in between highlights for my usual toner however, my hair looks very close to the colour I receive following my hairdressers toner for a less than a quarter of the price. Lovely cool blonde and very shiny hair is the result, my hair also feels very soft where I have found other toners quite drying. I will be purchasing this product ongoing. It’s excellent.

I think it does a good job, but I haven’t compared it to anything else to track brassiness. It feels like whatever I do, my hair will always go warm/brassy!

However, this toner does make my hair feel very soft and manageable so it definitely gets extra points for that, and for being easy to use and to wash off skin/bathroom tiles!

So i have dark hair with a lot of red from brown box dyes from other reviews i hoped this would work. My hair looks orange in the sun usually! First try left it on for 20 minutes after shampooing and towel drying. The light in the photos is difficult as it was light out in before photo and dark in after photo. The real result will be seen in the sun tomorrow. I can’t see a huge difference in colour (as i said the natural light makes a huge difference) one thing i will say is it’s amazing for a deep conditioner and adds real softness and an incredible shine to my hair! For that reason alone its worth 5 stars! Will try again once a week using it as a conditioner.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersBought this yesterday as my hair is getting very yellow. Just tried it now as a 20 min treatment and am very happy with the results. You can see the before and after in picture. Definitely cooled down the yellow tones and may well save me a trip to the hairdresser for a few weeks. Am about to buy another tube as think I’ll also start using it as a shampoo.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI have highlights in my dark brown hair which tend to go orange/yellow. I wanted something easy to use between salon visits that kept my ash brown highlights looking fresh and as if I’d just got them done. This is perfect. You wash your hair apply this purple tone shampoo and leave up to 30 mins then wash out. You won’t believe the difference it makes. It leaves hair in good condition and the colour is great no brassiness at all. I have used this a couple of times now and it lasts a few washes, meaning I only use it every couple of weeks and it makes my hair look and feel great. So easy to use and makes a massive difference

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersI had a full head of highlights done just a few days ago, I wanted to blend the grey in my ash dark brown hair
The hairdresser did tone the highlights but after a few days I’ve found that they were just too bright for me. Lovely but just not me.
I bought this on a whim and after reading some bad reviews was skeptical. However I’ve just used this tonight and done exactly as stated on the box and am absolutely thrilled with the results
I have much more ashy tones now and creamy tones rather than yellow!
So happy I’ve brought two more tubes to keep on
    Top of it!
The tube did only do one use for me
I have mid length thick hair but the tone is so much better I’m not bothered!

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI have lots of brassy blond but darker mousey roots because I am trying to grow my blond out I wanted something that would blend to correct both problems. The colour was amazing and the coverage too and made it look more even however, it certainly does not last 8 washes it came out after 1/2 washes which is disappointing

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersSo I removed some pink dye from my hair, then coloured it all blonde, the roots I lifted with bleach, I was left with incredibly brassy hair and roots.

I used this whole tube on my shoulder length hair and then put a shower cap on and left it for 20 minutes.

It’s toned it beautifully. It’s now a lovely blonde/ash colour.

I feel like there’s better toners out there,
But for the price I’m happy with this one.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersI used this product to tone down my bleached hair that was turning yellow/orange. Great result from first application (20 mins) didn’t last as long as advertised but I would definitely
    purchase again.

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersThere are SO many reviews for this that are negative that I had to review it myself. If you are expecting a hair colour job from this then don’t waste your money however if you have lightened your hair and it’s not been left on long enough to get to the right shade or you’ve not used a prelightener (hint hint) then what you should do is use a dark blond hair colour first THEN use this regularly to help tone down any brassiness. It is NOT just a purple shampoo/ conditioner as some have said- purple shampoo washes out and leaves purple everywhere! This comes out the tube in a lilac/ ash colour and the colour is absorbed by your hair then rinses out in creamy white lather as normal conditioner does. The effect is subtle but the condition is fantastic. There is no dryness or crunchiness after multiple hair dyes can leave hair feeling like! Leave on for longer if you’d like a more prominent effect (I had it on an hour first time) -it won’t turn your hair purple or completely ash. It will simply tone it down a notch
Fantastic product. Just don’t expect miracles

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersSo my hair was really yellow/brassy after bleaching it twice with Loreal platinum blond. I was going to buy wella permanent toner to give it that silvery pale blond look but it was too expensive 44 pounds . So i found this and well it kind of did the job. Took away most brassy yellow tones and gave it a silvery white t0ne. Although i must say be careful porous hair will get stained purple, as did mine, however dont panic! Using normal shampoo i immediately gave it a good rinse a few times and the purple washed out leaving that silvery white colour. I must say im impressed. I recently had used jerome russels ice platinum permanent toner and it DID NOT WORK. So this is definitely much much better . Im happy

Golden Review Award: 23 From Our UsersI chose this semi permanent ‘colour restore’ product in colour ‘Caramel’ from Scott Cornwall after doing a lot of research and experiencing trials and errors with other products. I am satisfied with the result but there are some drawbacks. I was after a toning colour that would make bleached hair look more natural and a way to go forward into embracing my roots with a deeper colour and to blend bleached ends with darker roots.

The product comes in a tube with plastic gloves and instructions. Instructions give the option of two techniques.. a 20 mins or 3 min developing time. One gives a deeper result and the other is a refresher.

I applied the product to washed and towel dried hair and waited 20 mins before washing out. In retrospect I wish I had mixed the product with conditioner (I’d say about 50/50 would have worked) as the result I got was very deep and darker than I expected and there was some ‘colour grab’ as my processed hair is rather porous. It was a nice tone and pretty even but if so am being critical … it was too dark and the tones were orangey.

I had to strip some of the colour out using baking soda mixed with dandruff shampoo (a really good method of gently stripping hair colour) and then it faded to a nice golden caramel colour.

So …I am satisfied with the result and would repurchase but would use mixed with conditioner in future and only leave on for 10 mins.

    Good luck!

Golden Review Award: 20 From Our UsersI used “Cool Ash”

Ever since I have had to dye my hair (*ahem* a few years now), I have had the problem of it being orangey/red. I am naturally light brown but every light brown or dark blonde on the market turns my hair red (even though I always buy “Ash” colours). It has become absolutely infuriating and I own ever purple shampoo and conditioner on the market. These products have helped tone it down a touch, but not enough to stop me hating my hair.

I thought I would give this product a go and I am so unbelievably happy! It says leave on for 20 minutes the first time, and I did, but the very second it went on I could see the colour looked better instantly. It had a lot of warnings about mess and purple staining so I did it in the bath. I was pleasantly surprised when no mess occurred and my hair ran clear when rinsing straight away! I think my hair had been dying for this purple colour and just absorbed it all!

When wet I could see the brassiness had gone and I hairdried it eagerly. I was not disappointed. My hair was a wonderful, light, brown, ash colour. Almost like my original hair colour. I was in shock (I know it sounds melodramatic), but I had almost given up on having nice hair again.
I wish I had done a before and after picture but I did not expect the results to be this amazing.

If I had one criticism it would be that it’s not permanent. It washes out after a while, but you can top it up with a 2 minute applications. Which I will be doing. As a new user I’m not sure how long it will last but I just had to write a review whilst I felt passionate.

Obviously I recommend. I’m not affiliated in any way with this product, despite the glowing review. I just want other brassy browns to be cured like I have been!

Golden Review Award: 44 From Our UsersHi ladies snd gentlemen out there! I live in Canada and order this product 2 Boxes at a time. It is PURE BRILLIANCE! !! Plus, I have never ever found anything that works as well for removing “Yellow/Brassy” tones from blonde or bleached hair. EVER! In Canada I use “L’Oreal Blondissima”… to bleach my hair. After doing so, I am always left with yellow /gold tones. If you are familiar with levels of hair color in Canada, not sure what it is anywhere else in the world. . . but I am a level 6 or 7 here, which is a light to medium blonde. Sometimes known as dirty blonde.
If you are looking for beautiful Platinum Blonde, (even hair color) look no further!

I am not joking, nor would I ever leave a 2nd review for a product that I didn’t stand behind 150%. I am going to attach a photo of my hair if it allows an upliad, so that you can see the outcome. As I said, I am a medium to light blonde which is like a fairly light dirty blonde natural shade. The kind of color that you just want to give a lift to, because it feels a bit Blah.

Well…LISTEN UP. 🙂 I use Loreal BLONDISSIMA to remove the pigment in my hair and bleach it out, then. . .when I am finished it looks quite golden yellow, as always. Alll I do is add this product to my freshly shampooed hair after bleaching for 20 minutes Maximum! I come out at the end ,after applying from root to tip, with perfectly even white blonde hair ……and I mean super white, it’s beautiful. Be sure to moisturize but this leaves your hair also feeling like silk.

***Just a bit of a heads up when rinsing this product out (use warm water) not hot as it will remove what you have just put in. It will open your hair follicle and remove everything you have left on for 20 minutes. So be sure to use a little bit hotter than cool to warm just nice and warm to the touch to rinse this out …add a bit of the warm water, and work into a lather. Then, rinse it thoroughly but not too hot! Your hair will feel like silk but be sure to rinse well.
    The prosess is this:
OK. .. after bleaching or dying your hair light blonde and you have gold tones or yellow, apply this product from root and comb it through to tip & be sure to try to get your roots first as they are the most gold generally. .. then apply this all over. I have quite long hair to my bra line at the back so I nearly use three quarters of a tube to cover my entire hair. Also I have tons and tons of hair, enough for 4 People! Just so you know, AS A GUIDE ON HOW MUCH I NEED. . You should get MANY more uses than I do! I’m not sure if you can contact me to ask me any further questions or reply to my review, but I can assure you I have been searching for this color and tone for over 15 years in Canada and not even my stylist can get this colo right! . Yes, he keeps asking me who did my hair? I finally told him. ..”ME”!!!!
All I do is bleach it and I showed him this product that I use to tone the brassy tones and even it out to a white ash blonde. He said it looks fantastic just come to me for your cut! I am 43 and he has been cutting my hair since I was 11. If my stylist can tell me to continue doing what I’m doing because it looks amazing and it’s a better job than he has ever achieved, then I can assure you that this product is worth buying. To bleach my hair it costs $14.99 Canadian. To tone my hair I believe each of these boxes is about $30 per box roughly. Now, how much money would you spend going to have a full color and cut in a salon. … I mean a reputable high end salon? This is a quarter of the price and much, much better results. When you look at it like that it is not expensive at all and you will finally achieve the color of blonde and I mean that beautiful bleach blonde that you want without the yellow tones. I will attach a picture or two if I am able to upload here????? of before color and after One is my natural and the other is obviously the final results after using this product. So, I wish each of you the best with your toning and final outcome! 🙂 TRUST MEEEEEE, it is worth it. ..don’t hesitate at all.

I would give it 10 stars if I could. I only pray that they never stop making it. Lol Sounds funny, but I’m totally serious. Good luck. And happy bleaching 🙂 I promise that you will not be disappointed! I cannot rave any more about this than I already am!!!!!!!!! BUY THIS AND NEVER LOOK ANY FURTHER. IT IS ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC FOR REMOVING YELLOW BRASSY TONES IN UNDER 20…MINUTES
