Excellent quality
I have used Denman brushes for years and they have never disappointed. The grip on this particular brush has a non slip feel and a flexibility to the bristles that makes the brush really comfortable to use.
Glides through hair!
I honestly thought a brush was just a brush! But from first use I’ve no catching on tats! Literally glides through my hair with no pulling! My hair is usually difficult to brush with my fuzzy curls! Really impressed! 🙂

Great brush for curlies
This is the perfect brush for putting product through my curly hair when it’s wet. My hair looked the best it has for a long time after using this so I was very happy with it. I wish the packaging had been more sustainable though as I bought a wooden brush to reduce my plastic use. A minor problem otherwise though.

Great Quality - Perfect for curly girl method!
Really good quality and the bristle spacing makes it so easy to detangle. Using this as part of my curly girl routine has changed the game and has really helped detangle with less breakage! The wide spacing allows for curl clumps to separate and really defines them. Great purchase!

Made me realise how old my old one was, The handle is a little longer and it feels heavier but it does it’s job.
Hairbrush
I’ve been using this hairbrush for many years & was pleased that I was able to order another one, after loosing mine. I have thick hair & it perfect for styling & controlling my hair.
If you struggle to define your curls this is an amazing option! I always struggled and felt like I had tried everything, serums, mousse, finger curling, combs but this beats them all! It helps define curls but it’s much better when paired with other products, trust me, it doesn’t last long otherwise. My only downside is it can be hard to get the right angle and define your curls exactly the way you want so do some research. But practice makes perfect! This is also great for detangling in general, but use it on wet hair.
Not good for fine hair, as the pins are not so tight.
I hoped that the pins were closer to each other. Now, my fine hairs slide too quickly/easily through the brush, and are hard to keep in place during blow drying. The pins are also quite sharp and feel harsh on my (sensitive) scalp. I would recommend this for thick long hair, but not for fine/smooth hair.

I bought 2 brushes with the pretty flowers on. One as a gift and one for me. I remember Denman brushes coming in a box but these were just delivered in a plastic (compostable) bag. I can’t see that’s much different to a little cardboard box but …OK. A tad disappointing as, one was for a present didn’t look that “classy”.
The handle – one was smooth to hold. The other had a raised edge, obviously where the printed cover joined on the sides or where the two halves of moulded plastic joined.. It doesn’t feel that comfy to hold in your hand. The other one was OK- so that is the gifted one.
Not sure it was worth the extra money to upgrade to a printed brush from the original plain colour handle.
Does it work as a brush – yes
Was it easy to hold – fair – the ridge is noticable.
Was it pretty – yes
I was tempted to return “the one” but sometimes it’s just not worth the faff!
I’d never heard of a Denman brush, why would I, I’m a curly girl with 3b/3c thick, high porosity fizzy hair.I’ve never owned a brush in my adult years and I’m 51 now . I follow “Manes by Mell” on YouTube and she raves about these brushes, so I bought one after watching many of her videos. Mell used it after shampooing and conditioning hair and rinsing it out, but after putting your products in, to evenly distribute the products through the hair and for additional curl definition. Well this has changed my routine and battles forever this brush. Who’d have thought. You can teach an old dog new tricks.
I wash my hair now, wrap in a micro towel (another life changer for curly girls) so it’s damp, then my regime is to use a leave-in conditioner, then scrunch in a curl cream, then finish up with a gel using praying hands method. Then brush through your hair in small sections (best to watch Manes by Mell) to distribute products evenly, and wow what a result. My curls are way more defined now. The secret is brush it through when hair quite wet, then don’t touch it at all, air dry hair for best defined curls. Really works for me.
Because of the thickness of my hair I find the bristles on this brush are too close together and rip at my hair a bit, so I picked up another tip watching Mell, which is to remove the rubber brush bristles section off the main body of the brush, then you can easily peel out a row of bristles. I’ve taken out every other row on mine. It’s perfect now I’ve tailored it to me and my hair. It’s now easier to get the brush through.
I’ve been impressed with my first ever hairbrush in adulthood . I’d never ever brush my hair when it’s dry (big massive no no for curlies), but it’s perfect for combing through wet hair to get the knots out with conditioner in the shower, or for doing the brushing through of products and to get added curl definition. I’m chuffed to bits. Hope you find my pics useful.
