Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersSolid and good weight. Easy to instal a new blade. This is a much cheaper shaving option against multi blade heads that are quite expensive. Takes a little adjusting to this type of shave but provides an easier and smoother shave with less passes. Check YouTube for better instructions.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI wanted to buy a product like this because I was dismayed with the waste from disposable razors and the fact that heads are unique to each manufacturer.
It was easier to learn to use than I expected, and I’ve only nicked myself once. I have a beard so I only need to shave my neck and under my chin, and bearing that in mind I am still on my original blade. The razor blade will stay sharp for a long time if you look after it and strop the blade on a pair of jeans as it says in the instructions.

Saves so much money long term and gives a really close shave. Only complaint is that because its metal, it feels quite heavy and can sometimes feel its slipping a bit in your habd when youve got water on them. Changing the blade is really easy.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersLove love love!!

Huge convert to these after using disposable razors for years and getting lots of discomfort.

Wanted to try something more eco friendly and less wasteful but also better for the skin.

Makes skin SO smooth after using, very easy to use, easy to insert blade, lovely weight to it so easy to shave. Makes light work of shaving.

    Looks great too.

    Love it so much.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersOk, it’s a safety razor. Does what it says on the tin.

It’s feels nice in your hand, comfy, easy to hold, and with a sturdiness that feels really reassuring.

Very easy the clean and change the blades, so managing it is a breeze.

It’s my first forray away from mass market shaving, and so far I see no reason to either go back, or move on.

All in all, of you wet shave and are interested…. Buy one, you won’t regret it.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis was my first safety razor. Works really well. Found it easy to have a close shave. Easy to clean and no signs of rust or damage after 1 month of regular shaves. Feels good in the hand. I can’t finds anything wrong with it. It’s reduced the amount of money I spend on razors and it’s also better for the environment as there are no plastics being thrown away.

I like the colour, and it works well.
I have to remember to grip the head at the ends for loosening it for cleaning in order to avoid the blades.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI needed a safety razor that would last rather than disposables. I find that a disposable triple-bladed razor does not do very well if I have not shaven for 2 to 3 days. I was also drawn by the environmental impact of disposable razors and the need to keep buying more. I am told that standard razor blades can be recycled, but I am not sure how this is done. Be aware that even these razor blades may not be vegan. This razor is solid and holds the blade well. Its stand is handy. I am finding that I get a much better shave than with a triple-bladed disposable. Also, it copes well with a week’s beard growth. This would be my preference now and am changing over to this safety razor.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI first assembled it wrong and it didn’t work (obviously but easily done) when I finally got it right it’s so good!! Very easy, a nice weighty feel, great shave and easy to unclog, I love it!

Really high quality materials, feels solid and weighty in the hand. Came with a great blade too. Sits a little looser than expected in the base but still very stable and sturdy. Really great shaver!

I don’t know why it took me so long to get a reusable razor but I finally did it! I opted for the rose gold colour and it look gorgeous – very nice and sleek design. The package came with a single blade and was very easy to insert by unscrewing the handle.

The one thing I am still getting used to is not dropping it when I am using it – it is quite a bit heavier than the disposable plastic razors. Get it if you want to reduce waste, save money in the long term and get the same job done!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great reusable razor!

Had this for 2 plus years and love its amazing design and weight, I’ve used it for pretty much everything shaving my head, no rust but I do dry it after using it. Once you have you won’t want to go back to using any blade. Well worth it.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersWorks fantastically for a clean, smooth finish.

Has a bit of a learning curve, to be careful around cuts, I recommend watch a few videos on it to prepare the skin and you’ll be a pro in no time!

Not sure if I am taking proper care of it but it has some grey stains on the parts that touch. I clean it with warm water and leave to dry on an airy place everytime.

I really like this razor, it has some good weight to it and the colour is great. It does take a bit of getting used to going from a disposable to this but this provides a much closer and better shave! One thing I would say is bin the blade it comes with – it’s rubbish. Buy some Gillette Platinum blades – they’re cheap and provide a great shave. The blade that is provided doesn’t seem to actually fit the razor properly and I couldn’t get to actually shave with it! It just seem to flatten the hair! Otherwise great product!

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersAmazing product. I bought this to save money on razors and also to be more environmentally friendly. However I expected it to be more difficult to shave with this. It isn’t ! The first time I used it I was super slow and careful, however I quickly realised how easy this is to use! I haven’t cut myself a single time and I now find this just as easy as other razors. Plus its much easier to rinse the hair out of this one and you have two sides to use! Just make sure you don’t use any pressure when shaving, it doesn’t need it.

Also, beautiful and fun rainbow colours 🙂

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersThis safety razor is absolutely fantastic and it has been perfect for my first safety razor experience.
    Pros:
    – The weight is great because it means you don’t have to apply any pressure whilst shaving. – Super easy to assemble
    – Very easy to clean and change the blades
    – The stand is a must have, trust me on this!

    Cons:
    – The actual blade itself, supplied with the razor isn’t great. I recommend getting the Gillette Platinum 50 pack (10 on Amazon), these are freaking amazing and super sharp compared to the one supplied.

Overall – Fantastic product, highly recommended!

I spend 3 for 100 blades and not the 15 for 10 blades that I used to with my old razor. You will need to be careful as it will cut a lot off but the shave you get once you get used to the weight is worth it. Never had such a good shave. This feels great in my hand and I have saved so much with this.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI have used various razors this is so far the best one and as it is stee. All I need to do is purchase razors blades to replace when I have used the previous one. It is really sharp so you have to be careful when using as I have accidentally cut myself. However my skin looks really nice and smooth when I use this razor and it doesn’t leave me with bumps on my skin. I highly recommend this product especially if you like to shave often.

I don’t usually write reviews but this product is excellent. Yes you do need to be more careful with this razor but the close shave it gives is so impressive that I don’t need to use as regularly as my old razor. The razor looks & feels high quality & is really easy to assemble. The initial cost seems a lot but over time this razor is less expensive because replacement blades are far less expensive than the usual brands. Less waste & better results, I would highly recommend.

I ordered this in black, the one I received is more of a gunmetal grey.
I ordered the black brush to go with it and it is also the same grey.
It doesn’t affect the quality of the product and it doesn’t really bother me

Very good option for people looking to get into wet shaving. Can be a little finicky to insert blades into due to design but thats just nitpicking. Stand is fine, does its job, nothing special

I like that this is a very feminine razor.
I bought this product to decrease my waste production and thought it would be a good investment, but unfortunately, I dropped it while in the shower and it broke which was disappointing as would have expected it to be a bit more durable.

This was bought for me as a gift. The rose gold is a lovely colour and feels feminine. It is heavier than a plastic razor and I was slightly anxious about cutting myself with it. However my fears were unfounded. Used with shaving gel I was very pleased with the shave performance it glides close to skin and gives a super close shave. I used it on my legs and underarms ( allergic to waxing), and had no burn, or soreness after shaving. In fact it gave a close soft gentle shave. I was amazed so much kinder to my skin which felt soft and smooth. It was easy to load the blade, which lasts for several weeks if used daily additionally you get two sides to the blade which lengthens the usage. It’s not disposable just need to replace the blades so kinder for the environment. I highly recommend and will definitely buy this agai

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersThis double sided razor is fab. Iv had it since September so thought I’d give it some time before a review. I’m now just buying a new blade for it so thought I’d do the review!
I would of gone through packets of razor blades by now but this one is just starting to need replacing. And for a fraction of the cost of plastic blades 8.50 for 100 blades!

When I got this razor I was unsure if the change after reading reviews of people cutting themselves and finding the razor heavy. Yes the razor is heavier then a plastics one but there is a reason for this. My first bit of advice is to watch a couple of YouTube videos of woman using the razor as there is a slight nack but don’t he put of as it’s extremely easy and the videos are short. This will prevent you from cutting yourself like others. Second, if you watch the videos you will realise the razor is heavy so you don’t need to apply pressure like you do with a plastic razor. This is how you get cut. The razor just glides and it’s fab.

The first couple of times it took me a fraction longer as I was scared to cut myself but you soon find your own way and now I’m just as quick. I still shave in the shower like before and I still don’t use soap or shaving gels. I haven’t for years as the don’t agree with my skin. I thought I was going to have to using this type of razor but I still don’t.
I will never go back to the plastic razors I love this metal one it’s fab.

My hair growth has definitely changed too, my hair isn’t as thick or as course coming thing and I can get away with shaving less through these winter months then I could before. I used to find my leg hair would irritate me after a couple of days but since using this razor it’s softer and I don’t notice it as much.

If you use this razor right you will not be disappointed.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersSo, I had been procrastinating getting a reusable razor for a while on the grounds that I’m clumsy and was certain I was going to cut myself so horrendously that I’d end up in hospital. Still though, the guilt about all the plastic waste from the disposable ones finally got the better of me so I caved in and bought this.

The razor comes with one Astra blade in a wrapper, and there’s a QR code that directs you to a pdf instruction guide.

Here’s the link to the guide: https://m.jordklok.se/images/1.826.1811061232/bambaw-safety-razor-user-manual.pdf

There’s a good photo in the manual above and an explanation of the blade insertion process, but basically you screw off the handle and find that the head is composed of two separate parts: the bottom bit and the lid. Making sure to hold the blade on its short sides (which are blunt so won’t cut you) you then drop the blade into the bottom bit, put the lid on top and then screw the handle on. It’s super easy.

Then when it actually comes to shaving, it’s different to the disposable razor experience because instead of running the razor over the skin at an angle dictated by the manufacturer, you a run the sharp edge of the blade at close to 90 degrees to the skin surface. You’ve also got to be careful to press less hard than you would with a disposable to avoid cutting yourself.

I’ve used it to shave everywhere 3 times now and haven’t cut myself once! I don’t usually write reviews, but I thought I’d write this one to try and encourage others to convert to the safety razor cause given a) how happy I was with the product and b) the obvious environmental benefits. Very happy customer 🙂

I also bought a pack of 100 Astra blades and an “Eco Warrior Shaving Bar” with this to complete the no-plastic shave trio.

I was so scared to take the plunge with this and thought I’d end up cutting myself. I was spending 9 a month on razors and getting horrendous shaving rash though so I went for it after a lot of deciding.

I used it as soon as it arrived as I’d been watching loads of YouTube videos on how to use it. I started with my legs and couldn’t believe how smooth it left them! I didn’t cut myself once and found it super easy. I then decided to be brave and move onto the backs of my thighs and bikini line. Again, not one cut and an amazingly close shave with no irritation at all. I’m genuinely shocked at how good this is and wish I’d taken the plunge sooner.

I used it with the Queen of Shaves shaving gel and Astra blades and I found those amazing too. I’ve never been this smooth and I cancelled my subscription to my expensive razors straight away. If you’re having doubts, just go for it! It’s a game changer and so much less waste too.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI looked at few different razors before settling on this one. The main draw being the price and the packaging. It comes with one blade included and any safety razor blades will fit.

The razor is a very nice quality, clearly made quite well. The texture of the handle makes it easy to hold (I shave with oil, so can get slippy, but this holds up well). Easy to change to blades and clear any build up by unscrewing the head. It has a nice weight to it which is perfect as safety razors use the weight to cut the hair (rather than you applying pressure)

I store my razor in a caddy in the shower and I haven’t seen any evidence of erosion or tarnish on the metal. I’ve had it about 2 months now.

Over all a nice product, well priced in comparison to similar offerings. Great for cutting down plastic waste and just saving money on shaving products. I would recommend looking up some guidance on using a safety razor as it is a different technic and you can cut yourself easily if you try and use it like a Venus. It is easy once you have the main tips.

I do use this for my legs, under arms and bikini. Again, I looked up some tips just to make sure I didn’t cut myself. I would maybe be careful for younger or first time shavers.

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersI have never used a safety razor before, but I was looking into a more eco-friendly way of shaving when I found the bambaw safety razor. I was very worried about ordering it as I am afraid of cuts – I am the person that cuts themself ALL. THE. TIME. However, I didn’t cut myself despite being an absolute safety razor newbie, and I was surprised by the quality of the razor!
The razor came in nice eco-friendly packaging and was easy to put together. I chose the rose-gold coloured razor with the stand, which stands very solid on my slightly lopsided and wet shower shelf. It’s quite heavy, and the manual discourages from using pressure on the razor while using it, which really isn’t needed because the razor does have the perfect weight to glide over your skin (although it can be a bit tiring if you’re veeeery careful and take your time).
The razor is perfect for shaving the armpits and even some of the more intimate areas. It was a bit more difficult on the legs, but I’m quite blind without my glasses, so shaving those is always a bit of a challenge. I have extremely sensitive skin (due to psoriasis) and was amazed at how neat and smooth the razor shaves. It is a bit complicated over more difficult areas (like the back of the knee or the ankle), but that should become easier with practice. I was only dissatisfied with my right leg, where the skin was quite irritated after the shave – however, I’ve been using a pretty blunt plastic razor up until now and had quite some ingrown hairs, so this might just be the usual first-time reaction my sensitive skin is very prone for.
    Very happy with this order!

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing quality while reasonably well priced

Golden Review Award: 30 From Our UsersLike many millenials, I’m on a mission to decrease my plastic waste, so exchanging disposable razors for a safety razor was an obvious easy swap. The razor itself looks beautiful, and was dead easy to put together after disassembling to install the blade. I had also read that safety razors are much gentler on the skin, and as such are better for reducing razor bumps/shaving rash etc. To be honest, I can’t help but think of the tools the use to shave kebab meat in chips shops whenever I use this on my legs. I have sacrificed a hell of a lot of flesh in my quest to reduce my plastic consumption with this razor. I imagine it’s my poor technique, but it’s worth bearing in mind that using this product will take a bit of getting used to. Watch some instructional videos to save yourself a lot of scabs!

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersI was very sceptical about this at first. Mainly because I was terrified to use it! I’m really funny when it comes to sharp objects, cringe even while using disposable razors. I’m trying to change my lifestyle to more eco friendly, so after a few weeks of contemplating buying this, I thought I’d take the plunge. It’s quite intimidating to look at, even after watching numerous videos about how to use them, I was still worried. My partner let me try it out on his legs first, so I could get used to using it, and because he doesn’t mind if it cuts him. When I went into the shower, I wasn’t holding it right, it takes some getting used too, but after a couple of trys, I was shaving like a pro. Even got confident and shaved under my arms, knees and ankles. I cut myself a couple of times, but not as bad as I would when I used a disposable razor. In fact, when I did cut myself, I didn’t even notice until I saw a little bit of blood. I found disposable razor cuts would sting/ take a chunk, whereas the safety razor didn’t. I get awful razor burn and ingrown hairs after using disposable razors, but this razor has caused no problems like that. I highly recommend, especially for those who are awkward with shaving.
