I was initially surprised how compact the scale was. I am delighted with my purchase though. The scale seems to measure very accurately. The stainless steel bowl is good quality. However, my favourite feature is the display. I am partially sighted and have struggled to read other scales. The display is bigger than normal and the back-light makes it much easier for me to read.

I had a slim digital scales before this one and what a difference, this is way better. I’ve just ordered another for the garage for the dog food. It comes with a lovely big bowl that’s destine for the kitchen though.

Lovely scale
I love the design and sleek look. I use it all the time. Most of all I love the big screen as my vision is not what it used to be and the backlit screen makes it so much easier to read. I would recomment this scale to anyone.
Love love this set. Bowl is a great size, like the way you can reset scales to nought and keep putting the ingredients in so its very accurate. Also has lots if different kind of weights you can change from lbs to grams millimetres etc.
Lovely Light Easy scales
The product did not work with enclosed batteries but as soon as I changed them for Duracell batteries it worked fine. I am very pleased with these scales which are so easy & handy to use. I have had thiis model before several years ago & had to have a new one as numbers on scale kept changing as I watched it.
No doubt these scales will last me for several years again.
Lovely scales but had to retu
Purchased these scales for my grandmother who is visually impaired. The scales were really easy to set up and to use with very large display numbers with a blue back light, which I thought would be perfect. However, she was unable to make the numbers out clearly and could only see the light.

I have had my Duronic for over a year now and I cannot imagine any other design could be better, at least for my purpose of breadmaking. It is not only the excellent scales and bowl but the brilliant boxing which acts as a well-designed storage for the unit. It is very low maintainance and just needs a dry cloth to wipe and polish the bowl after use with dry ingredients. I give it ten out of ten for one of my favourite gadgets.
Sleep mode is a bit annoying
In general, I’m very happy with the set of scales, as far as I can tell it’s as accurate as it needs to be. My only bugbear, and the reason for docking a point, is that it will switch itself off after about 1 minute, and you can’t adjust it or stop it from doing that, so if you get distracted part way through weighing, you may need to start again.

After reading the reviews I decided to purchase these mainly for the easy buttons and the fact they take AAA batteries and not the fiddly flat ones.
Absolutely love them! They’re simple to use even my hubby was happy as they have 2 or 3 buttons and none of the extra buttons you tend to get on others.
The screen is bigger than I expected which is great if you have sight problems, the numbers are large and well lit up.
Easy, simple and basic scales just what I was looking for.
I researched Duronic as I wanted to buy from a British company and was more than prepared to pay a good deal more for doing so. Neither Amazon or Duronic showed that the product was made in China. I am more than disappointed. To Duronic – I had intended to buy some more of your kitchen items next month, I shan’t be doing this now and to Amazon who will probably not publish this, I am contacting my MP to raise the matter in Parliament. Consumers should be able to access all information to help them choose where to spend their money.
I bought this digital scale because of it’s price and the fact that it came with a metallic bowl.
I’ve use it a few times and so far everything seems good.
This is the first time I got a scale that measures liquid, and it impressed me with it’s accuracy.
The display screen looked a bit bigger in the photo than it is in reality, which I prefer, it doesn’t look so bulky.
The scale fits inside the bowl so it is also good for storage, if you don’t want to keep it inside the bowl, it has a good size to keep it in a drawer or other small space.
Be aware that it takes measures from anywhere you touch, so if you press a button it will register that you are making pressure on the scale, adding weight to it, of course it will go back to the original value once you remove your finger (hope this made sense )
I was planning to make cakes for a charity bake sale at work and knew that I couldn’t rely on my flat digital scale any longer. It has one small flat battery that slots into the battery compartment but the contacts are very dodgy and I was tired of having to re-insert the battery every time I wanted to use it. So I decided to treat myself to some decent scales. I chose this model because it has a back-lit display, uses AAA batteries instead of those maddening flat ones, has a proper battery compartment that holds the batteries firmly in place, has a useful bowl for ingredients and an offset display so that you can (for example) put a saucepan on there and measure everything into it. As well as baking cakes, I use it to weigh out tiny quantities for my Slimming World meals and this is very accurate. It’s really easy to use, and it was a good price – I’m really pleased.
What can I say about these scales?
I needed a new set of scales and saw these come up when I was searching for Kitchen scales.
Well these have certainly exceeded my expectations by so much! The display is clear and easy to read, the platform (from 1 gram upwards) reads beautifully and accurately. (Tested with 1g weight, 5g weight, 25g weight, 50g weight and a 500g weight and combinations of them all). Extremely accurate, You can use almost anything as the container for the scales, as well as without a container if you so desire for small items. The bowl which comes with the scales is a very nice stainless steel bowl which comfortably holds liquids and powders (flour, sugar etc).
The modes are brilliant too, measuring in ml, floz, grams and oz’s. So whether you’re metric or imperial, you’re good to go at the push of a button. The zeroing function is also brilliant, just switch on the scales, put your container of choice on the scales, and hit the zero/power button to zero the measure. Great if you want to put multiple ingredients into a mix without trying to work out if you have added enough, just zero each time before you add the next ingredient.
Not much more I can say, seriously, you can’t go wrong with these scales! LOVE THEM!
Look no further for a really good scale
I bought this scale because I was fed up with having to switch to my reading glasses to read the display on my previous electronic scale. The other thing I didn’t like about that one was that it used those little watch-type batteries – not to easy to get decent quality ones.
So I was looking for a scale with a display I could read easily that took “normal” AA batteries – one which had good reviews. And I found it in this Duronic scale. It works fine, I can read it easily and the bowl has been a surprisingly useful bonus item – I have used it every day.
The scale itself is easy to store, easy to wipe clean. I’m so glad I bought it. It has encouraged me to do more baking.
A very large display and backlit too. Very easy to read no matter the lighting. The bowl is of decent size and quality, probably best used for measuring rather than mixing, but it would do at a pinch.
The main reason I bought the scales was that the display is out on a ‘foot’ and I can weigh things on a relatively large plate. If the plate overhangs the display the back-lighting ensures it’s still visible.
Accuracy seems to be OK. There’s sometimes a drift of +- a gram, but, honestly, if that’s going to be an issue you probably need scales design to weigh <10gm accurately, and not these.
Dropped a star because the scales switch off fairly rapidly to preserve the battery. It would have been helpful if the back light went off but the scales stayed on for a bit longer. Then, when weighing/preparing lots of stuff, I would have the time to get to a cupboard and back a couple of times before adding something else.
No opinions on lifetime, I've not had it long enough.
I was looking for a set of accurate digital scales with a clear display, so that I don’t have to put on my readers to see how much my flour weighs.
These scales looked good on-screen and so I decided to make an order. They were delivered on time and I’m very pleased with them.
They are accurate and have a beautifully, clear and bright, electric blue display. To conserve battery life, the display auto turns off, but gives ample time to weigh/ adjust quantities etc. Some reviewers have said that the “timer cut out” on the display is too short; I can confirm that this is NOT true.
The stainless steel bowl is an additional bonus and matches the high quality of the scales. If I were to be critical, it would be to suggest the addition of a spout to help when emptying. However, as I use these scales for bread making, the ingredients slip nicely from bowl to machine without spillage. I haven’t taken off a star for this reason because they definitely deserve the 5 star rating.
I can confidently recommend these scales to anyone who takes their baking/ cooking seriously.

I’ve been buying the flat metal or glass style of digital scale for years and while they certainly look stylish, they do not seem to be either robust or reliable. These Duronic scales are satisfyingly robust, the weight is really clear and if you put the bowl in a cupboard the scales don’t take up any more counter space than the flat kind. And in fact they are now less stylish in their own way! So far the weight is completely reliable – i.e. they give the same weight for the same item each time and if left for a moment, the weight doesn’t creep up or down (which has been the biggest problem with other scales I’ve bought). I like the stainless steel bowl as well – it’s a handy size and good quality. I’ve only had this Duronic scale a couple of weeks, so I cannot yet comment on whether they will still be reliable in a few months. If I have problems down the line, I’ll come back and edit this review.
Great Xmas Present to Myself
I had already purchased a Duronic Room Heater Duronic HV101 Black Mica Panel 2.5KW Radiant Convector Heater with thermostat – Oil Free Heater – Heats up in 1 Minute which has been brilliant, so when I saw that they also did these neat scales I ordered them on Xmas Day as a present to myself and again I have been impressed with 1:The Service (they arrived within a couple of days) and, 2: The Scales. The display is large and the measurements can be altered to whatever the recipe call for ie: grams, ounces, mils, the readout is large and clear and you can set back to zero after adding each ingredient into the bowl. The stainless steel bowl is a plus as well just the right size. So far I have used these scales at least 5 times a week and am very happy with them. Also it only needs 3 small AAA batteries so replacements will be easy. Oh and my baking seems to have improved as well.
