I didn’t actually summon up the courage to use this for almost a year (the safety warnings are daunting!) but when I did I was ashamed of myself. Easy to use, doesn’t take long to charge up the batteries/energy packs and lighter weight than I expected. I’ve trimmed a hedge that had taken over from about 9ft high down to just over 5ft high, and its also down from about 3ft wide to 1ft 6/2ft wide. It didn’t take forever to do the hedge although I did it over a couple of days to give my legs and arms a break. Super machine.

Delighted with this purchase. Although relatively light in weight the blade is surprisingly effective for its size. Certainly easy to use and the battery lasted over an hour as far as I could tell on my first uses

Another amazing purchase. High quality, lightweight but not too light. Easy for me to manage on my own. Easy to assemble and charge, which lasts for a long time. Extremely happy and great value for money.

Was pleasantly how well this cut and lasted on its first use, obviously time will tell but first impressions are that it’s excellent value for money. Easy to use and very effective.

Really impressed. This is my 4th cordless hedge trimmer in around 12 years and by far the best. Robust and powerful.
I have a 40 metre 2 metre high privet hedge and previous trimmers would need 4-6 charges to do while hedge. This only needed 2-3 charges!

This is an excellent machine perfect for cutting privet hedges. Bought the machine without the charger and battery then purchased a 4amp hour battery and charger separately this way it worked out much cheaper.

My husband was tired of dragging long cables around and over the hedge so bought this as it was reasonable price and had good reviews. Quite impressed with the machine as a hedge cutter, but it gets a bit heavy after the first 15 minutes cutting. My husband does the hedge cutting and he is in his 70’s so the weight is a bit of an issue for him. The battery lasted for about 45 minutes and cut half the hedge, it charged fairly quickly for the other half.
The weight probably wouldn’t be an issue for someone younger and stronger.

Bought this trimmer for a few hedges we have of some low maintenance growth. Charges fairly quick and has enough juice for your basic cuts. Perfect for light work we’ve done not tested if it were to be put to its paces.

I had tried a longer bladed one but found the balance wasn’t very good. This shorter one has a much better balance for me, being an older lady. More confident in using this up a small ladder.

This trimmer is a good standby when I have a small amount of hedge to trim and don’t want the hassle of getting the extension lead out. Nowhere near as powerful as my mains trimmer but then I didn’t expect it to be. Very handy for those parts of the garden which are a long way from a power socket. Very lightweight and easy to use.

I love this, honestly, how refreshing to buy something that actually exceeds your expectations! Very powerful, my hedging is very high, dense, and the branches are rather thick in places. This got through no problem, went non stop and still didn’t need charging at the end. Excellent item

Picked this up on Prime day and very happy with it. Manages all the work I need it to handle, not designed for particularly heavy duty work but I’d expect capable of dealing with most garden chores. Battery life also very good.

5.0 out of 5 stars Super hedge trimme

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersAfter reading other reviews I thought this is the one for me and it is perfect. I’ve always used hedge clippers but the time was now right to change. It is light and very well balanced for a female gardener in her seventies. It has clipped my bereris hedge beautifully with no problems and of course it is cordless. The battery is just enough to do a steady job and complete the hedge in one go. Great price arrived as promised ( don’t be put off when you pick up the parcel the packaging is heavy NOT the cutters). I love it and would 100% recommend it.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI won’t get carried away as it is of simple design and has the standard double button safety feature to prevent things like cutting an arm or leg off. However, when used with the light 1 or 2 amp hour battery it’s a doddle to manoeuvre around and cut as you need both left or right handed. The bigger batteries make it butt heavy and not so balanced but who wants to be cutting that long anyway?
The blade is of good length but doesn’t have that grunt required from a 2 stroke engine which you may need on more woody shrubbery so use it appropriately and know it’s limits and it will be fine.

Unfortunately it doesn’t make me a cup of coffee so only gets 4 stars as it’s not worth the 5 anyway.

Golden Review Award: 30 From Our UsersExcellent hedge cutter, makes short work of cutting overgrown hedging.
Very pleased with this product, it is lightweight, easy to handle and slices through all kinds of hedging with no problem at all. I have previously purchased the Einhell drill and reciprocating saw (fabulous for rapid cutting through thick wood) which I have been using to build raised beds on my allotment plot, so I already had the 3.0ah battery and the battery charger, so didn’t need to pay extra for these. Note: if you don’t have these products already you are looking at another 70-80ish, but in my opinion well worth it, particularly if you are going to buy other equipment in future, and I have been very impressed with Einhell products so far. This product was therefore the obvious choice when I needed a replacement hedge cutter, as already having the other accessories I thought it was really good value. The cutting blade is superb, I oiled it with some 3in1 on arrival then set about 2hrs of hedge cutting, it went through a mixed ‘bush’ type hedge (not really a hedge, just ridiculous scrub), then a beech hedge, then a massive holly hedge with ease. I used to use a Flymo extendable cutter, which was not only hard work and too heavy to handle but the cutting blade was useless so I used to end up re-doing it by hand with manual hedge trimmers to get a decent finish, not so with the Einhell which leaves a very smooth surface.
My only gripe for this is not about the product, but about the Hermes courier who delivered it. Delivery day came and went, they said they had been, but no card was left and I was in all day, so I knew they hadn’t attempted, then the next day they turned up with it and stood in my front garden for a bit looking confused, it was purely by chance that I happened to be passing the front door at the time and so went out to see who it was. The cutter was in a very large amazon box, but the ‘prime’ seal had already been cut open with a Stanley knife, then someone had messily wrapped some brown parcel tape around it again to keep the box together. Okay I thought, lets see what is in the box – I opened it to find the hedge cutter also in its original box, but this too had been cut open at the top and left with the flap lying open. Nothing was missing, but it looked to me very much like someone in the Hermes warehouse had been looking for portable items to steal – maybe they thought there would be an expensive battery in here easy to take out or other item to steal. Seriously not impressed with Hermes and Amazon should re-consider their use as a delivery agent if they are going around opening peoples parcels to check what is inside.
