perfect for transistor radios
i still use daily my trusty Roberts Transistor radio, and though i have a mains adaptor, i use quality Energiver batterries for when not on the mains. The batteries tend to last around 10 days, if i use the radio 3 hours a day everyday on battery power. My Roberts radio (still made in the UK), uses 4 batteries

Energize Aklaline power battery: good quality afor a good price though I find they last less than Duracell. At the beginning you cannot see almost any difference but after using the device (i.e. remote control) you will notice the battery lasts less than other top brands and this is the main difference
These AA batteries have so much energy I’m convinced they’re juiced up on something illegal. Popped them into the TV remote and it started responding like it had a personal trainer. Stuck a pair in a torch and the beam nearly signalled the ISS.
They last ages too — none of that “works for a day then dies like a Victorian child” nonsense. Proper dependable power bricks. If the apocalypse hits, I’m grabbing these before food.
Worth the money
I can’t really say how well they last normally because they have been used in Christmas lights which have been on most of the day and evenings. So far so good.
Bulk buys better!
Although rechargeables the most economic friendly, not always a option,
If need them then to bye in bulks best and to pay a bit more is sensible when comes to batteries,

Theses batteries are brilliant! They last longer than Duracell batteries!! I love them .. I buy theses batteries because I use them in a little radio, and I put the radio in the boot of my car, I leave the radio on all night , why ? Because the sound of the talking from the radio keeps the foxes away from my house !
So I buy batteries regularly!! Highly recommend!!!
