The headlamp has a great cushioned strap so is comfortable against the forehead
The light is nice and bright. It’s also adjustable by holding down the on/off button so that’s neat too.

I bought this as part of my 8 year old nephews birthday present. He really loved it, wore it in the evenings just for walking around the house and looking under the beds and sofas. Also has encouraged him to read which is an unexpected benefit.

Being a petite woman (52kg, 163cm), I wanted a small and light headtorch for winter runs. The Karrimor headtorch I previously purchased seemed to be a bit too heavy. Glad I purchased this, as it’s extremely lightweight and bright. Great for those winter runs in the dark. The battery lasts ages too, can’t complain at all!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersNice and simple. Bright, very bright and red. I bought these for sailing at night but really they are probably too bright for night sailing because they dazzle and inhibit night vision but I suppose for working in the dark or poor light it would be perfect. The light swivels up and down and is easy to switch on and off and change the intensity or colour of the light without looking..Good value and easily adjustable for most head sizes

No minus points for this at all. The headband is comfortable and adjustable. Takes 3x AAA batteries. The angle of the light is also adjustable which is perfect as I use it for reading in bed. These head lamps are so much better than a standard annoying book light ever was for me. Two different brightness modes too.

Vision headtorch. Good price, I have had one of these for a few months ,which I got from a well known high street store…that was a few quid more expensive :-(…
I use mine for the day job. It is very bright , there is a less powerful setting. I like it because there is no scrolling/button pressing through a menu of various light settings, it is merely a slide switch. To avoid knocking it on accidentally in my pocket ,I just put a dab of blutac on switch .
its bright…..its cheap….. so when I lose it, I won,t have to visit Papworth hospital. I got another two from amazon, …as Bear grylls says, whats better than a head torch? Two head torches.

Golden Review Award: 13 From Our UsersIt does what it says LED headlight. The very bright setting is quite dazzling so the lower setting (which means the battery lasts longer) is fine. When I was putting the supplied batteries in the case would not give (open enough) so you have to use a bit of force, although at first I thought it would break the cover it did not and would open fine afterwards. I bought 2 more and they also had this issue. Did not impact the use of the light which worked will for everyone. The head strap worked well also and battery still going after two camping trips.

Bought this for my nearly 4 year old to use while camping. He loved it. Was actually the only way we got him to stay in the tent to go to sleep! He slept with it and used it to go to the loo, when we were ready books at night…great torch. It has 2 settings, very bright and not as bright as very bright! Easy to adjust the strap, not so easy to work out how to get the batteries in but now i know, it’s fine! Great head torch at a great price.

ice bright light! much better than the last one i had with those older rounded led’s, even though there were fifteen of them this is still brighter with only two! The ratchet thing to adjust is a bit harsh but i don’t realy see the need to adjust the angle anyway so its a good buy for me. If the angle adjustment was better i would have given five stars.

Very good, affordable headlamp with a powerful light and many options: red light (which cleverly comes on first so as not to destroy your night vision), standard light, spotlight, combined standard and spotlight, and flashing signal. The headband is fully adjustable and sits well and comfortably on the head. The angle of the lamp can also be adjusted by a swivel setting which offers perhaps 3 angle settings for the lamp. The only thing I didn’t like was the on/off switch: difficult to find by touch at times, it’s also inclined to turn on by accident in your backpack, and this could be dangerous if this is your only light (you should have a small backup torch).

Very bright lights, when one could finally extract it from it’s packaging.
Would have got 5 stars, except for the fact that you have to cycle through all the combinations before it will switch off.
I wanted to use this on red light only for a star party, so you could soon become very unpopular if you don’t shield the light with your hand when trying to turn it off.

I find these so useful, to be able to have your hands free whilst having light shining exactly where you need it – what more could you ask? Energizer is a good enough make to “do the job” while not going silly on price like, say, Pretzl which start at 14 for their cheapest. I bought this on offer for 10.00. The Energizer has 2 leds for a focused beam or all 4 for a wider spread of light and even 2 red to save your night sight. What more could one ask!

Does the job. You’d probably want something a bit more robust (and more expensive) for more intensive and frequent use, but for an occasional head-light this is surprisingly good. There is a real difference between the floodlight setting which puts out a pool of light providing general illumination and the spotlight leds which provide a tightly focussed bright spot. The red leds also have a hotspot that provides enough light to work on something – eg fiddling with tripods in the dark – without upsetting everyone else in the area by using a white light. It uses 3x AAA cells which is a good compromise as it is enough to give bright light and reasonable battery life by comparison with lights that use smaller cells, but is not too heavy.

To start off, this torch is incredibly bright! Almost blinding when new batteries are put in. Which makes this a fantastic head torch for outdoor use! Scouts and Guides, this is something you need for camping! It has all of the different light settings, the red light I find useful for when I’m working back stage and don’t want the light to be seen on stage. The other settings are perfect for when I’m pitching my tent or reading a map in the dark! Handily, it comes with 3 AAA batteries already and they last a while, so you don’t need to rush out and buy new ones!

I was tempted to spend a lot of money on a head torch and then decided to have a punt at a cheaper model like this. Its quite powerful and has a number of different modes which are useful.

I use it for walking at night and I have the beam pointed down a few metres ahead of me. The only downside is that I find some of the light is picked up in my spectacles from the downward pointing beam which is annoying. I haven’t found this from other ties of head torch. However, placing it high up on your head alleviated this problem so I use this torch every night.

Needed this for conservation work in Central America working with Sea Turtles – hence the red light was essential. This was the one of the best headlights of all the volunteers’, with a good tilt function, three varying white lights and a good red light. Worked well and didn’t let me down in the rainforest and on night beach patrols. Also lent it to someone in my Hostel to use as a reading light at night, the tilt made him a very happy bunny. Simply put, the best headlight for the money, solid, reliable and comfortable! Get it!

Would give it 5 stars but you need to black out the lower part to stop light straying towards your face. Easily done with a bit of paint. Alternatively use it over a peaked cap. Excellent battery life and suprisingly bright. Lighter than others I have tried, so you don’t notice it after a while. Having to cycle through the different modes isn’t a big issue – how many times are you going to turn it on and off?

I’ve had this torch for over a year now and am so impressed, the battery life goes on forever and I use this every day only changing batteries twice, the beam is so bright, I now am lost without it and will buy another for the home as I keep this one in the van for my work. Clicking through the buttons is no hassle for me and the red light has some good uses. I can honestly say that this is by far the best item I have bought from Amazon to date.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersI have owned several headlights from Energizer over the years and they are invaluable; both hands free, clear line-of-sight vision; superb for DIY, camping, walking etc.. This new item has a three-push on-on-off switch thankfully going to red first then white (saves blitzing your night-time vision with bright white first). The new ergonomic fit is good but I can’t help thinking this is a cheaper version of the old light; the plastic moulding is irregular (in the battery compartment) and the finish is not as clean as the old lamp. It is only ok on initial inspection and only use will prove it’s worth or shortcomings.

I can now also add, with the benefit of use, that the lenses “bleed” light (diffuse) from the straight ahead and this effects vision as it shines in the eyes; a very poor design flaw. The previous headlights, whilst not as bright (2 not 3 white LED’s) were a much better bet.

A really good piece of kit that is comfortable to wear and provides several lighting modes depending on what you’re doing. It came into its own when I had to change the headlight bulb on my car. Previously I’d had to hold a torch between my teeth (during the daytime) to see what was going on. With the pivot head I could line it up with the working space and concentrate on what I was doing. If I had one criticism I’d say the plastic looks cheap, but the unit seems well built, so no quibbles there.

Bought this product after takin the wrong route up Scafell and having a nightmare coming down in the pitch black. Great little item does exactly what you need of a head torch. Multi LED settings really useful to cater for any environment.

I do have to agree with the other comments on the cheapish plastic design, it privots forward on a flimsy plastic hinge that with a little wear now doesnt hold its position – simple remedy for me was double sided sticky tape to lock in the forward looking position (I personaly dont need it to angle down so good for me).

Conclusion: I’m happy – the light is powerful, multiple light options cater to most needs, headstrap comfortable and easily adjustable.

I am very happy with this product but proberly would have been less happy if i paid full price. All the lights are very good and effective but there are 3 basic desighn flaws in my view that some people may be ok with.1-The button for the lights is in a quite awkward place to press.2-The head strap only goes round the sides of your head(ok if your sat around or wearing a hat to stop it slipping)but try walking home with it on with all your fishing gear in the dark and the slightest bit of sweat and it starts slipping down your head.3-They had the good sense to put the red light first which is a nice touch but when you need to turn it off you have to cycle through the other 3 Bright light settings first Which can ruin your night vision..(whole idea of having the red first??).otherwise lights are very powerfull and i got it at a bargain price so rather happy.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI bought this for sea fishing and it does just what it says on the can. Its as light and bright as I hoped it would be and does a great job.

Only two small things: a) I only use one setting so to have to click through the series of settings is a bit of a pain each time I switch it off – but in the big scheme of things really isn’t an issue. b)It doesn’t ‘click’ settings when tilted so I’m not sure how long it will retain e it will notice that when I tilt it so it shines down as I want it to there are no ‘clicking’ steps. I wonder if with time it will get loose. Time will tell!

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersBought one of these to help with DIY work in our large loft. The light fits well on the head, and the unit itself feels well made and durable, despite the usual plastic materials. Fitting batteries is straightforward. I wore this over quite long periods of time and still found it comfortable. Having the various light options is great, though I must admit in our largely unlit loft I used 4 leds most of the time. This setting gives real, useable light to work by, not just a dim glow such as you get with some LED lanterns.

I can certainly recommend this and I shall be using it on my bike as well in future.
