Good price for a reliable branded PSU. 600W enough for most budget to mid gaming PCs. There is a strong plastic-y smell when opening the packaging but this soon goes away. The fan is not audible above the case fans

Originally went for a cheaper model as i upgraded a gfx card but returned it as it didnt work and decided to spend a bit more for quality. Can’t fault this model, great for entry level gaming. Plenty of connections and easy to install. Easy cable management apart from the main 12v rail which is a nice thick bundle but overall definitely worth spending a few extra pounds for a decent model.

Very good power supply the cables are long enough to reach whether your power supply fits in your case at the top or more importantly at the bottom of your case…..Nice and silent..powers your gaming graphic card with high demand no problem…..so I highly recommend this power supply

After my evga 850 gq psu blew up taking my hard disk with it, I decided to get this one. Even thought he 850 had a eco mode I never used it.
This 600 W1 has enough power for my PC and it’s very quiet, my cases’ internal fans make more noise than it.
It has lots of cables for all your power needs. Like most I’m using M2 cards for storage now so more power cables than I need.

In this way it’s a shame all PSU are not modular so we can have less cables inside, just what we need. The modular PSU were twice the price though.

Even though the PSU can handle 600 watts, my current power consumption, with geForce video card, 2 case fans and 2 monitors is just 140 watts.

This PSU is working well, with a 2yr warranty hopefully it’ll last.

You can really tell when a power supply is made well it’s heavy for what it is cables are. A nice black and 24 pin is sleeved this looks very nice and is worth the money don’t buy cheap power supplys buy recognisable brands like EVGA

I have used this PSU in about 8 PC builds and on each occasion it has not let me down. EVGA is a well known brand and this PSU is a “No frills, get’s the job done” affair.
I wouldn’t pay 45 for it though, (which is it’s current price) as it was released almost 10 years ago and is very basic, it only has a white 80+ rating, so technically on the low end of power efficiency. However if you can get this at a discounted rate or on offer, it is a great power supply for a budget PC build

As per many other reviews this is a great quality and value power supply. Very easy to fit and lots of cable /plugs. If you have a graphics card that requires 2 x 8 pin supplies beware that this card supplies them through the same split lead and not two separate supplies. Otherwise and excellent purchase. The fan is virtually silent as well.

5/5. A great and trustworthy power supply, the only downside is the excess connectors and cables (grab a couple cable ties and wrap them up good and tight). But for the price, it’s more than worth it compared to others on the market.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersFor a relatively small PSU this unit is still running well after many months of intense gaming for several hours every day, it is pushing a high end video card with twin fans, 2 SSD’s and 2 HDD’s, 4 RGB fans and several strips, added PCI’s and a liquid cooling system, it doesn’t even get near its upper temp range, the fan is quiet, the cabling is good quality and the whole unit is good value for money in my opinion. highly recommend.

EVGA are a very trusted brand and they are generally VERY durable. EVGA and Corsair are my goto for power supplies and I have yet to have one fail on me.

Does the job perfect and not very noisy either.

Bought this when my power unit in my PC failed, i have a average PC with moderate power consumption and this covers it all very comfortably and will continue to cover my power needs when it comes time to upgrade my graphics card

I know a little about the inside of my PC but was still slightly worried about installing it my self but I didn’t need to worry as it was incredibly easy and quick took no more then 12 minuets the only thing I would recommend is get some cable management even if its just some cable ties its make the inside look much more tidy and makes the install easie

Bought this for my First PC As it was on offer For 30. Using it ever since Great product Silent And snub easy to install haven’t had a problem with it even when Gaming on High Settings. only disappointment is its Non-Modular but was easily stored and excess wires stored away inside PC Case.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI had to change out an old Cooler Master PSU that had always been pretty loud was starting to sound like a bucket being dragged about by a merry-go-round. I looked around for a modestly priced 500w unit to slot into the system like for like and this 100% fits the bill. 38 at the time of purchase though I have seen in comments it was going for cheaper – anyway still a bargain and it is so quiet that I sometimes have to check myself as to whether i’ve actually pressed the power button! Installed quickly and performs brilliantly. Very pleased.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI’ve been looking for a cheap power supply to power my game server and I picked this model. When it arrived I was surprised by it’s high build quality. After unboxing it feels like a premium item. I have it for couple of months now and never had any trouble with it and also it’s very quiet I can’t hear it running. So far I used only Seasonic power supplies and some of them run great for almost 10 years now. We will see how long this EVGA is going to last but it seems like it’s a good product. I would buy it again.

People insist never to scrimp on a PSU as it’s ‘the heart’ of your pc, and it can’t take out multiple parts if it fails. But let’s be honest, the majority of PSUs are made in a couple factories and given different stickers. I’ve never bough an expensive one in 20 years over many dozen pcs I’ve built and never once has one failed or took anything with it. Not to say it doesn’t happen, just that it’s rare enough to not worry so much imo. This is good and solid and does a great job

I’ve received unit with upgraded cables, all black ribbon style. Build quality seems great and psu is heavy. It is a bit shorter than your regular psu so it may fit into smaller cases. The only downside I see is 2×8 pin pcie power comes out of one cable so it is not recommended for power hungry gpus, but should have expected that for the price.

I’m really not that techy, so maybe this was just me, but I found it a bit frustrating that the cables were all black, while the cables on my old PSU were different colours and easier to match up! This is also different from the pictures.

Despite this (and despite it being the first part I’ve ever replaced on a PC!) I did manage to install it without blowing anything up. The instructions were reasonably helpful with the addition of some googling.

My old fan was starting to sound like a drill and this one is wonderfully silent. Arrived well packaged and presented nicely in the box. For the price, I’m really happy as a not-so-serious gamer. Would recommend!

If you are plugging your latest gpu and motherboard and cpu worth thousands into this, you are probably a fool. If you are replacing an ageing psu or building a budget system, this is a good choice though.
I love the new flattened cables, much easier to work with than the previous build, which I also bought. That still works fine, so I hope this is going to be as reliable. At least they have some sort of brand to retain a reputation for. Just make sure you get the rating you need, this is not a psu to drive to the limit. say keep a maximum headroom of around 20%. If you need more than 500 watts, this is not the right choice, get the 700.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThe fan in my old psu was making quite a noise so the choice came down as to whether to just replace the whole desktop or replace the power unit. I’ve replaced fans and added disks in the past, so I decided to have a crack at installing this rather nicely packaged beast. As to why this make and model, I read in a few places that this is a good make, that it is was similar to the existing one in that it is non-modular and the same wattage.

I went at this rather carefully and slowly, and I must admit it took me more time to remove do all the planning and take the old one out than it did to add the new one! I did make a silly mistake, however, in that I installed it fan side up whereas the accompanying document says put it in fan-side down if you have a vent below the case. But that was easily rectified.

The cabling is of much better quality than the one replaced and easy to fit. (Fittings to the motherboard, two sata drives, an ssd, a graphics card and two dvd drives were really strightforward. A liberal use of cable ties then seemed essential to stop all the spare cables rattling about in the case.

There’s a little noise from the new fan, but well within my expectations given the price of the unit.

Hopefully it will last me a few years!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI’ve only had this a few months but it’s a great power supply.

No noticible noise and a doddle to install

My last power supply gave out but it was nearly 10 years old.

I was concerned it wasn’t modular but it dint matter

The power cables are more than long enough for my cosmos tower case and it powers my i7 3770, asrock Z4 extreme with 2 SSD, 2 internal hard drives, creative labs sound card and new ASUS GTX 1650 without breaking a sweat

This kit is 10 years old so it don’t need a nuclear power plant to work but at this price point I still needed a stable power unit

    Highly Recommended (so far)

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersMy last power supply was an Alpine which was a great budget unit but I’ve got to say I feel a lot more secure with this one.
I watch Linus Tech Tips and this brand of power supply has been on there a few times. Strangely enough, he’s just done a budget AMD gaming PC video featuring this power supply, but a 400w with a Ryzan 3 and Asrock Pro 4 motherboard.
I bought the same motherboard but with a Ryzan 5 3rd gen CPU and a 600w power supply, 16gb (2x8gb) DDR 4 3200mhz Crucial Ballistica ram, WD 1TB SSD and an ultra m.2 NVME, 2 spinny drives, DL DVD RW and I still think it could take more. I’ve no worries with overclocking and the build quality is amazing. You can feel the quality in the metal and it’s so quite.

Was a little tight to fit in my old ATX pc tower but got it in with a little persuasion, like a lot of power supplies now it just has the one mains input socket and no socket for you monitor, but other than that it had lots of lead length and the extra connector 4×4 12 volt CPU lead that I needed for my new ASUS B450M-K motherboard and also the 4×4 power cables for external graphics cards which you could either use 4×4 or 3×3 the lead ends were adaptable, been running it with an ASUS ROG Strix Radeon RX 570 OC Edition 8 GB GDDR5 AURA Sync R GB Lighting PCI Express 3.0 Gaming Graphics Card and this 600 watt power supply seems to run my 6 core Ryzen processor and 1 2TB hard drive and the Pioneer Blue Ray writer just fine.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI feel I have already gotten more than my moneys worth with this product and can can wholly recommend it at this price (Bought at 33, June ’19 – Currently 50 and still advocate).

    The EVGA W1 600W Offers: 2 x 6+2 VGA/PCIE plugs, 2 x 3 SATA power ribbons, 1 x 3 Molex + floppy, along with 4+4 Pin and 20+4 Pin Power.

I purchased this 600W power supply a year ago when my EVGA 650G died, after 4 years of service.

While this power supply is a lower wattage than my previous one (a 650W Gold), I have yet to experience any crashes or blue screens due to missing power. This PSU comes with a 3 year warranty – pretty meh, but for the price i cant complain if I need to replace it after that period.

While this Power supply is non modular, its low profile made it easy to install with space to stuff the extra cables if needed. After the initial setup I haven’t needed to touch it since. I had some trouble fitting the CPU power in my case as it was a tight squeeze and the two halves were difficult to lock into place on my motherboard.

While not holding a bronze 80+ rating it is still incredibly good and quiet under load. This power supply is barely audible ticking by despite not having an eco mode. While I don’t have inline power readers to measure the power usage of my system, using software including GPU-z and HWMonitor i gauge my PC uses around 460-500W of Power under load.

When I found this power supply, i was surprised by just how small it was – just an inch or so off made a huge difference in my case.An advantage in my case is the shorter size has let me properly fit another intake fan on the bottom of my PC tower (that was previously wedged in between the old PSU hard drive cage). [Fractal Design Define R4].

The cables are braided, though that doesn’t cover the fact that they are a spaghetti rainbow! Chiefly the 24 Pin and 6+2 Pin for the GPU which brandish their red and yellow veins rather prominently. With some clever cable management, I imagine it is possible to minimise the eye sore of the motherboard power cable. Personally I am uncomfortable bending these wires into a tight turn to get them hidden behind the motherboard tray.

(I feel like a salesperson after writing this review, but I am honestly shocked at how much this little 40 PSU has to offer – when my 650G died, i searched for a while before landing on 3 options; one of which was this and I feel it has been well worth)

Golden Review Award: 184 From Our UsersAs any PC builder will tell you, NEVER buy a CHEAP PSU, it can be a very expensive mistake!

EVGA is a big name in the PC world, supplying Power Supplies and Graphics cards mainly so they are a name you can trust! They have a first class warranty (should you ever need it) and their customer service is excellent.

The PSU delivers the power it says it will, quietly and efficiently and of course reliably! The connections are vast, 8 pin CPU, 24 PIN, PCIe for your GPU (2 of them) as well as a couple of molex and a wealth of Sata plugs too!

Build quality is perfect, there is a definite weight to the PSU and the fan is hardly audible! 500w was all i needed but there are smaller wattages available as well as larger ones!

Its standard ATX size so in a desktop case its a standard replacement of the old unit, unplug all cables from PSU that connect to the motherboard and devices, undo 4 screws at the back but make sure you check your case hasnt got a retaining clip inside (Dell and HP are amongst the culprits here) remove, slot in the new one, tighten 4 screws then re insert all the plugs you require! Power on and job done!!

Golden Review Award: 16 From Our UsersDecided to start my adventure into PC gaming and as with everything, you have to start somewhere.
I was gifted an old Radeon HD5850 gpu to uprate from the Nvidia GE Force GT705 that came as standard on my pc. Not going to be playing 4k anytime soon, but in order to jump in graphics? You have to jump your power. 300w as a standard psu wasn’t nearly enough to make the grade and after much research, I happened upon the EVGA 600W PSU. Tad daunting at first, trying to work out where the cables went but as I unplugged one section, the new section went in immediately.

Basically, I couldn’t be happier right now. Very simple to follow the instructions that come with it, I don’t get any coil whine as some of the reviews have said can happen. It was a sealed unit so brand new and not a refurbed model. I genuinely can’t tell the difference in noise output, if anything I’d say it’s quieter than the dell unit that I’ve removed.

Enough SATA cables for those who are packing weapons grade gaming towers so no issues there. Luckily I did have some cable ties, as there was a lot of extra cables laying around but the tower isn’t windowed so not too fussed at the moment.

It does state to have the fan unit pointing down, and to be fair, it makes sense.

    Pro’s:
Easy to install for first timers
    Quiet
All the cables you’re ever likely to need

    Con’s:
Wish i’d made the jump sooner!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis is one great budget PSU for heavy load. Bought one with 600W mark. Price gap between them is so small that buying 430W doesn’t make any sense. You can probably run 2 GPU’s on i7 without any issues. Theoretically, 12V rails are marked just below 600w, 80% of that is around 500 watts. so 2 GPU’s each one at 200 watts would ran on it without any issues, theoretically. GTX 1080 is using less than 200 watts each so if anybody can test this PSU on i7 with doubled 1080 I would love to read that review to know for the future being.

PSU box came completely sealed so this was brand new one.

Now cables. All rails are shielded with protective coat. You get two separate rails for SATA drives. One rail for MOLEX. Also, there is 4+4 rail for CPU power. One rail for GPU 6+2 pin BUT doubled, so you can use 2 GPU’s out of the box without cable adapters. This PSU probably can handle it. And theres one for Motherboard ofcourse. PSU is very heavy and cables are long enough for large cases. All details you can find on PSU webpage.

And for the end, the only thing I didn’t like is “Made in China”, hence the lower price. I would suggest doing some tests during first week just to see if it’s capable of running as expected. I will test it more to see noise levels and heat while operating at 50% load max. Will update review if any issues arise but for now working as expected.
