Great mixer for the price. It’s highly recommend doing an update to the new firmware!
Fixes audio switching issues. As old firmware switches audio when switching video inputs. On the new firmware you can choose a source of audio and will not change when switching video inputs.
Only other slight niggle is Picture in Picture mode is slightly annoying to get to.

The LivePro L1 is simple to use and yet really powerful in terms of its capabilities. I’m using it as part of my streaming set up (see photos).

Yes, it’s expensive, but it’s superb for mixing/editing multiple video and audio sources in real time. The 2 inch screen is really handy too.

The LivePro L1 is well made and seems robust. Very happy with this.

I thought this device might be overkill for my teaching responsibilities, but I’ve found it to be an absolute godsend. Suddenly instead of having to do everything in software I had a neat, convenient device that could let me mix things as necessary on the fly. I teach STEM topics, so being able to blend together the different feeds from different devices in real-time is life altering.

This FREEWORLD LiveProL1 came in a well packed box that was well presented and protective messures were taken to ensure the Device arrives intact from factory to the customer
the box has some Branding and illustrations of its contents and is easy to open and access the equipment right away without awkward wrapping
inside there is The Livepro L1 Control Board, 1 x Blue USB lead, 1 x Power supply, 1 x HDMI lead instructions and contents leaflet.
The L1 Pro feels really nice right out of the Box it feels well made and has a reasonable weight to it which i usually associate with better quality componants its black in colour and has a alluminium brushed kind of finish thats black and stylish
on the face there are 2 dials which double as buttons for functions and menus there are 4 white rubber pads that light up Red or Green depending on what channel is Live at that time
it also has a slider in the middle for effects and switching seemlessly through sceens iv had a little play with the transitions but did not really need them in my case this time around.
i have several other projects i intend on experimenting with the full functionality then . though i believe there are 14 in total there is also a mini LCD Screen that splits into 4 segments which displays the connected sources and has a green banner there too again to give clear indication of which channel is live at that time the screen is good quality and is a great addition small but clear
There are 4 HDMI In ports at the Back and 1 HDMI out port there is a Usb slot on the side to connect to your PC and you can even hook it up Via Ethernet cable to the Internet there is a seperate Audio Output on the side to which important if you intend on using this at live events for Gaming and such As the Audio works different from cameras
it can have 4 cameras or devices connected at once so a lot of room for impressive camera switches and transitions there is a thread at the side to put it on a stand or connect it to your existing Rig
I love this piece of kit and i have not fully used all of its features Yet it works well with OBS which is an open Broadcast Software which is also great for streaming but with the L1 Pro there are lots of quality of life improvements to put it simply Recommended to anyone who requires this kind of live streaming hardware and its fairly priced compared to its competitors there are a few extra features on some that this does not have and Vice versa this has the Display and several other benificial advantages In its favour i have to say its great and i love it the instructions are clear and there are some good reviews and Guides on Youtube if anyone wants to check them out further i give it a really good 5 From 5 recommended

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing Piece of Kit Brilliant for live events film makers streamers etc

This gadget is a video switch box and mixer for video production where you have multiple feeds. Examples would be broadcasting a concert where you have one camera focused on the conductor and another on the orchestra, for example; or you might be reviewing a game and have a camera pointed at yourself while also using the output from a games console. You have up to four HDMI inputs, an HDMI output, and a USB output which behaves like a single camera feed for a PC or Mac.

These two outputs (HDMI and USB) can be set either to Program (the mixed output) or Preview (a Multiview of all the inputs). There is also a small 2″ display on the device itself which shows you a thumbnail of the four inputs. Even if the inputs are different resolution, the output will always be the resolution you specify, up to 1920 x 1080 at 60 Hz.

There are four big buttons numbers 1-4, representing the four inputs. If more than one input is connected, then at any time one of the buttons will be red (on air) and one flashing green (next on-air). There is a sliding T-Bar and moving this left and right switches the signal from one to the other. You can select a number of transition effects, such as Fade, Cut and Wipe.

Another feature is Picture-in-Picture, where you select one main input and a second input to appear within or alongside it.

Audio is set either to embedded, which means the active HTML input, or to a specified input, or to External, which means the Audio In socket on the LivePro L1. Audio is a bit of a problem because you cannot set the volume separately for each input. You therefore have to make sure they are reasonably matched, or else handle the audio separately with an additional mixer (the most professional solution).

So what do I think of it? Pros and cons. On the pro side, the L1 is great value for what it does. It has a smart metal case, it works as advertised, and I got good results from my experiments. Most alternatives at this kind of price lack the built-in screen, or have fewer HDMI inputs, or both. It is easy to use and works well with OBS Studio, a popular open-source utility for video recording and live streaming.

What then are the cons? First, the unit gets very warm, too hot to touch on the underside. The manufacturers have tried to address this with firmware updates, and maybe it was even worse before; it is not necessarily a problem but never a good thing, and would put me off using it all the time as an HDMI switcher.

Second, there is some software to go with it but this gets confusing. The software is called Xpose, for controlling the device from a PC, Mac or Android. The software connects to the device over the network which means connecting an Ethernet cable (not supplied) from the L1 to your router. By default the L1 has a fixed IP address which means this may well not work. There is an “upgrade” guide towards the back of the supplied manual which adds to the confusion with a picture of PC settings — you almost certainly do not want to touch the network settings on your PC. Instead, the thing to do is to set the IP address on the L1 to something valid for your network that does not conflict with any other device (choose a highish number).

Once wired in, you can install the Windows or Mac software if you are feeling brave, or better, install an app called Xpose Mini on Android. This comes comes from a company called RGBLink which possibly manufactures the LivePro for Feelworld. In my case it immediately connected to the L1 and I was able to access some extended features — like setting the IP address to DHCP to avoid the hazards of a fixed address. Note you must install Xpose Mini and not either of the other two Xpose apps on offer from RGBLink.

Considering the current price, I think the LivePro L1 is OK but the audio limitations, warm operation, and poor software support hold me back from a full recommendation. It is a trade-off: you get more hardware for your money, but some more familiar brands will likely give you better software and better support.

Easy to use, just works out of the box. Like the little screen that shows what each channel is showing. Not sure what the slider is used for, little bit of a gimmick.

Strumento fantastico, semplice e compatto.

Fai test accurati.

Per il resto, davvero divertente e funzionale.

The T Bar alone has totally clinched this for me for live mixing! It also handles HDMI a cable lengths with ease that just make the ATEM mini completely fall over! I couldn’t be happier with this – in fact I’ve just bought a second one!

Very solid well thought out and made unit. Because of the small lip around the front face its easy to sink into a desk.
