I suffer from psoriasis and have bad calluses accumulating on my feet , which I have had trouble keeping under control as the ‘hard-core’ files are producing more skin in the long run and the ‘kinder to skin’ ones are just not good enough. I have only used the smoothing side of this file on my feet, once a week after a shower( when my skin is soft but not wet) Its been brilliant!
I didn’t know if I was going to purchase this as I have brought many products to help with the excessive rough skin on my feet and nothing really makes them feel soft this is incredible! I just wish I had found it sooner!
I have tried many rasps/files/ graters/knives/rollers on my heels and this is by far the best one. You see the filed off callus dust fall away from ypu heels as you use it. No risk of cutting the skin and just rinse off and let it dry. Daily/weekly use keeps my heels smooth and crack-free
WOW!! What a little Gem this file is. It will shave away even the thickest of calluses quickly with no pain or discomfort at all. leaves your feet looking like new and so soft . A Gold medal to the designer. There’s no need to search for a better one. This is the real McCoy. Would give more stars if I could.
This file does exactly what it says. It makes light work of removing hard skin and is great for the heel and ball of your foot. It obliterates it and then allows you to flip it over and polish/smooth the skin a bit more with the finer file.
A bit of heel cream afterwards and feet look 20years younger! Wish I’d bought one soonermuch better than those electric wheel foot exfoliating tools which don’t have the torque to tackle really hard skin.
Good value too. Easy to clean with some running water and soap afterwards.
I cant afford professional pedicures but do suffer with hard skin a lot . I am also diabetic so have to look after my feet for medical purposes . This item is so easy to use and keep my feet smooth and looking so much better .
This product files the hard skin down to leave it feeling smooth. For the most part it is easy to manipulate, however, If like me, you have poor circulation in your feet which has developed into severe swelling and hard areas around the ankles, it can’t get to the awkward places. It would have been great if a small version was also available. Nonetheless, a useful and effective product.
Really efficient file, rough on one side and smoother on the other. Quite long and slim but this makes it easy to hold. Does the job well and looks lovely too.
No dislikes – it easy to use does a great job getting the dead skin off after a hot shower or bath. There are two sides one for harder skin and the other for every day touch ups. Being diabetic I need to keep my feet tip top.

* This file is very coarse, and probably best for those in need or a hard file, but for myself I don’t have much need for anything more than a light touch up, so I’ll be looking for a glass file which is less abrasive.

Having purchased this file after a glass file because I didn’t feel that it was removing dead skin, only smoothing over it, I can confirm the texture design on this file (for both the rough and smooth options) does work very well.
Unfortunately for myself, a novice, my first file was one in which no matter the amount of effort put in, one could not hurt oneself. I soon found out that this was not the case with this file. However, that was entirely user error.
The design is as advertised and pleasing to the eye, but I don’t know why Ms. England could not have fashioned this from a single piece of metal, why complicate things, it’s less hygienic as a result of the exterior shell housing allowing bacteria to collect in the joining, which was why I was initially drawn to the single glass slab design.
However, the dedicated handle does make it comfortable to hold for long periods. And it could be argued with the weight of the file tilting the hand downward it may even be easier to use ? I cannot be sure ?
CONCLUSION
For my needs the metal is too abrasive, so I will be looking for a glass solution once more, only this time with the experience I now have (likely one with the same file pattern as this pattern actually removed dead skin).
I found that it was best to use a nail brush under running water to clean this file, just like the glass ones, otherwise it will not work to its fullest potential.
Amazing! Super gentle but very tough on dry, hard skin. Feels really smooth when using it too, none of that grating feeling you get with some foot files. Highly recommend!
