Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersHave now purchased this for several of my children’s friends too as it is a really lovely kit with multiple fun experiments to illustrate the principles of magnetism. Ideal for class demos or home use.

I love their range of kits. Each one is easy to follow, fun and great value. They are a favourite of my 7yo. Great to use as an additional learning aid for subjects they cover at school.

Great kit, but yet again missing a part, this time a sticker used for a ‘beard growing’ trick. Kids love magnets so it didn’t really matter, but I bought this with another Galt lab kit which was also missing an important item. Overall rather disappointing for me but the kids didn’t notice.

It was a present for an 8 year old, he loved it and said best present he had, he had so much fun making and playing with this, brilliant value for money arrived very quickly too.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersDuring lockdown my 6-year-old grandson is being home schooled. My daughter asked if we could do some lessons via FaceTime. I ordered this for my address, played with it myself and made some videos, and then sent it to him. He was very excited and we had a wonderful session. My daughter said he was so excited he might burst!

I think it was well thought out … appealed to his age group (has stickers!) He has now learned a lot of facts and concepts about magnetism. I think it helped having gran and Grampa on the other end of FaceTime to encourage, ask questions, answer questions. Will buy him other Galt science sets for other home-school sessions.

Bought for my 5 year old that loves magnets. Great idea and he was instantly hooked!

Unfortunately, rattle magnet broke within few mins of play and levitation stand missing. So frustrating!

Would highly recommend if it was complete and didn’t break…

4.0 out of 5 stars Great idea but badly executed

This was actually quite cool. Lots of different experiments to do with different types of magnets. My daughter loved the iron fillings (sealed in a window type box). Worth purchasing.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis was purchased along with the science kit to keep the children occupied when spending more time indoors during Winter. Excellent quality as you would expect from Galt Toys – well made and with a few experiments and a little book, there is plenty of scope to keep the children interested.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI bought this for my 5.5year old daughter after she showed an interest in magnets from school. She loved this.
Due to her age she was a bit frustrated at the time it took to set up and read instructions.
There are several experiments inside. It is a bit of a one hit wonder but I hope she’ll return to it.
Sadly one of the magnets smashed on our tiled floor – so beware of that.
Would make a great birthday present for a curious 6 year old.

Love all of the galt range of ‘lab’ boxes. This one is a hit with my 4 and 7 year olds. Not a messy kit either- which is always a bonus. Simple tests to do and a lab book to predict and write up your findings. Nice educational toy. Very good value for money

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersI bought one of these sets for my 5 year old sons birthday and was so pleased with it. He plays with it and does experiments all the time. I was so impressed with it that I’ve ordered another 3 so far as they make really good presents for his friends birthday parties

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersMy 4 year old has a real interest in magnets since starting school and she is really enjoying playing with this set. Encourages the use of language and gets her questioning what is happening.
Would recommend and think it is good value for money.
