    Works very well
Used many times to fit hose to fancy kitchen tap. It works very well. Saved us having an external tap fitted. You can simply leave it as on the tap if you wish but I put it off & on as required. Very pleased.

    Great Produc
I’ve installed an irrigation system in my garden and the pipe (LDPE) isn’t particularly flexible in the same way a hose pipe is. I didn’t want to have to cut the pipe and join with an elbow piece and this is a great alternative. Easy to install and no leaks.

4.0 out of 5 stars My 2nd one (as left 1st outside over winter)
Don”t leave outside when it freezes. But does the job well in spring/summer/autumn. You may well need some PTFE tape to get a nice sealed connection with the tap and whatever you attach underneath.

Mine has an Eve Aqua smart home watering control and a hose – which fit nicely together.

    Hosepipe connecto
Our taps have been changed into a 2in1 so I need to get a connector, this is very easy to fit you don’t have to be a plumber or anything it literally took me 5 minutes to do,and now the hosepipe can easy connect to the tap

    Excellent connecto
I have been a user of hoselock for quite some time. However, I was starting to get frustrated at some of the products which were quite flimsy (main problem for me was water seal is pretty poor) and even the hint of cold weather resulted in them cracking. This product appears to be holding up nicely and feels robust. Overall very pleased.

Good quality & easy to fit.
We did have a hozelock one with a swivel end bit but it started leaking! Bought this and it is easy to fit and better taps, Gardena is always better quality although sometimes more expensive but you get what you pay for in the end.

    Spanner only works once
Sadly the spanner only works once. After that the plastic inner edges deteriorate to the point it can no longer get a grip to unscrew the faucet tip.
    Otherwise it works perfectly.

5.0 out of 5 stars Much smarter than our previous water splitters and easy to use
This is a far more attractive water distributor than the Y splitter that it has replaced. As with all Gardena products, its build quality is second to none. It comes with two hose adapters which fit onto each of the 3/4″ threaded outlets. I kept one in place for our garden hose and attached a water timer to the other outlet, connected to a micro-drip watering systems for our pot plants.

We have a standard British garden tap with a ” thread. The Gardena is designed to work with both 1″ and ” taps via an enclosed adapter. I tried screwing the Gardena adaptor tightly onto my tap but had a significant leak. I solved the problem by using thread tape, which had usefully been provided with the water timer that I was testing. I think the problem is mainly related to my old garden tap than any fault of the Gardena device. The plastic ” connections at the bottom end fitted perfectly to my water timer with zero leaks, whilst the supplied hose adaptor also worked perfectly.

I am very pleased with the product and it looks as if will last for many years, providing that it is removed each year before the onset of frosty weather in winter.

    Great produc
I was slightly dubious on receipt that the item is made of plastic as the previous connector was metal. But it’s absolutely brilliant as there is no dripping at all compared to the former model when the tap is turned on. The only slight problem I found was that it needs to be screwed around the tap at the wall rather than using a push-up male/female connector. I encountered a bit of scraping on each side of the Gardena as it spun around hitting the wall at each turn! My tap is not noticeably close to the wall but I missed this detail when I ordered the Gardena. However, once installed I am very happy with it.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersWow Handy bit of ki
I have a large car wash bucket, and watering cans, that i cannot get into the sink as the tap is a low level mixer type. I have been looking for something so i can feed it from the tap and have the bucket Or watering can on the floor. This seemed like the most pleasant looking adaptor for the tap, nice easy to fit and adaptor fits easily onto thee tap conversion. So i can now fill both items with ease.
Another bonus, is when the connecting unit is removed, it doesn’t look too bad, in fact it looks quite ok, and with the included aerator softens the water nicely. So all in all a good result. May not be the cheapest, but certainly looks the part, and does the job well.

Brilliant idea, solves a big problem!
We were planning to have an external tap fitted at some point but for the time being we just wanted a quick way to attach a hose to an indoor tap. We had nothing but trouble finding one that worked, our taps were too wide, too curved, too much of the wrong angle etc. With this device you unscrew the very tip of the tap, a part called an aerator, and replace that with this device, essentially a replacement aerator. You can then clip your hose onto it, with a mechanism that locks it in place. When you aren’t using your hosepipe you can leave the replacement aerator on the tap, it just looks like you’ve got a longer aerator. Took about 5 minutes to swap it all around. I’ve kept the old aerator but so far no complaints about how it looks when the hose isn’t in use. You can find videos online for how to replace your original aerator (apparently they can get clogged up over time) so all I did was follow those and then screw up this device in rather than a new aerator.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our Users10/10! Works perfectly and easy to install.
Having tried several so-called “universal” adapters which, despite the measurements of my tap being correct, didn’t fit my tap at all, I tried this as a last ditch effort to provide warm water to my children’s paddling pool.

It is more expensive than most, but worth every penny! Once I had cleared the limescale from my tap, the end part of it was easy enough to unscrew. I didn’t need the ring adapter. The main part of the adapter screwed in easily into the end of my tap, and the tool was perfect for tightening it.

The water runs perfectly without any leaks at all and the filter actually improves the flow. The grey plastic hose adapter can now be added whenever I need it. As you will see from the video, it works perfectly!

    Great product worth every penny
So, I have a cold water tap in the garden. The kids wanted a swimming pool (inflatable one) which I bought.

Filling it with cold water was fine when it was really hot in the summer but I needed a way to get hot water into the pool to make it less freezing.

Did a lot of searching and came across this product. Because it came with a tool to loosen the fixture on the kitchen sink tap it was really easy to fit.

The tap still looks great as the fixture is chrome.

When fitting the pipe to the kitchen sink there are no drips (so it’s a really good deal).

    Effortless and really helpful.

It’s something I’ll be using as long as I have the same kitchen sink tap. Very good product and really practical.

Mess free solution to extend hose reach
I don’t know why I didn’t get this earlier – shuttling back and forth to the front garden with a watering can because the hose isn’t quite long enough is a mug’s game. This little gadget has it sorted. The connection from the standard plastic hose connector works brilliantly. Click it on to the tap adapter and it’s sorted.
I found it a bit fiddly to fit. Dismantle tap (easy) and replace the standard part of your tap with the one in the pack. All good so far. After that I thought the instructions were poor and I’ve definitely got some parts left over! I can’t get the washers to fit but hey who cares it works, it doesn’t leak…..job done.
I’d recommend this to anyone, just don’t beat yourself up if fitting it leaves you with some extra spare parts.

Great, but needs an extra rubber o-ring.
I really like this product. It looks completely normal on the tap, when the plastic attachment isn’t on. The plastic piece is easy to clip on and remove. It’s probably the point where it will fail, but it doesn’t feel flimsy, so hopefully it’ll work for a good long time.

I had a pretty serious issue with the installation which deserves comment, however. The following all relates to using the male screw. That is, without the screw-on ring that converts it to a female fitting. With the spout piece firmly screwed in water leaked in significant amounts through the screw threads, even to the extent where some water would leak without a hose attached. Even a reasonable amount of PTFE tape couldn’t fix this.

What it took to fix this was a rubber o-ring. Interestingly there is a space that just happens to be perfect for such an o-ring. So perfect it can’t be just a coincidence. I salvaged the o-ring from the piece I removed from the tap to make space for the connector and now it works great. But I really do think an o-ring should have been included.

good but not as easy as it suggests
First off I’d like to say it’s well made and works without any leaks, this is once you finally get it installed, the metal adapter fits no problem on our new kitchen tap. Where I struggled was with the plastic part that then attaches to this.. it took a long time before I could get this to close and lock in place.. so much so that when I finally did get it to lock, I decided to just leave it on the tap.. not sure if it’s a bit of a dodgy one I got, of if it’s generally this fiddly to get attached.. overall it works so I’m happy and it saved me having to install an outside tap.
