This is an excellent product. My husband has tried numerous products and is really happy with this one. Shaves like a new blade time and time again. Highly recommend this product.

Best blades I’ve used. I couldn’t find these in shop so purchased online and so easy and quick delivery. These will last ages as 9 in the pack.
8/10 had better shaves as am thick stubble and get 5 o’clock shadow
Smooth shave., not sure about how long each blade will last, but appears to be of a shorter life than other similar Gilette razors
I’m finding these cartridges perform much in the same way as the Gillette Fusion, that is to say very well, sensitive-friendly and gentle. The handle has a really nice weight and feel in the hand, and the flexball head does do a good job in manoeuvring around the face.
I’d say Gillette’s claims of one month usage per cartridge is ambitious at best — obviously this depends on your stubble thickness and personal preferences, but I’d say with above average stubble strength these give me around 10 to 15 shaves before noticeably tugging.
This is probably one of my favourite Gillette razors. The flexball head makes it easy to get a great shave as the head does a great job of following the contours around your face and chin when shaving. The blade with the lubrication strip cuts really well but does miss some of the flatter hairs for which I have to switch to the precision trimmer to get. The precision trimmer is okay but doesn’t work as well I’d like and does require a few passes to get all the hairs.
Good value pack of Gillette razors, nice quality razor leaves skin feeling smooth, comes with set of replacement heads, I am happy to recommend this set.

I’m one of these people with a coarse black beard and even after shaving you can see my beard. As such shaving can sometimes be painful.
This razor was a delight to use – perfectly weighted in the hand, glides and moves with the shape of your face and most importantly removes all hair with ease leaving a super smooth finish.
The precision trimmer is a welcome addition and helps your sharpen up the edges leaving you with a sculpted finish.
Quality as expected from Gillette – excellent value for money and should last a good while.

These are excellent, miles more effective than cheaper alternatives. The razor is well designed and fits well when holding. the blades are first rate – they produce a clean effective shave without any noticeable cuts or nicks. Gillette produce consistently brilliant products and this is no exception.
This full pack of Razor handle plus refills makes for a good starter set for anyone looking to move away from disposable razors and into the world of something more premium.
Exactly how many blades you really need or want on a razor head is a widely-discussed topic. I’ve long advocated for just 3 blades being perfectly sufficient. I’ve used 4 blade setups – some of which were better than a 3, some were worse. This ProGlide from Gillete offers up a 5 blade solution which feels a little excessive to me (and could contribute to higher ongoing blade costs and more production wastage) does legitimately provide a lovely smooth shave.
One thing I particularly like about this blade design which you don’t always get on a razor is that the blades have a clear path through for any shaved hair that is not obstructed by the frame of the blade or the razor itself. Some designs get clogged up too easily as the hair doesn’t have anywhere to pass through efficiently due to design bulk, but these are pretty decent and they haven’t clogged up yet.
The other nice thing about this razor is the articulation of the head which helps navigate the contours of your head/face a little better than a non-articulating blade. Short of having bendy-blades – which don’t exist – this is the best you could hope for.
It also includes a ‘precision blade’ on the reverse side – which can be good for providing an edge – but completely superfluous if you don’t have an edge to work to.
The pack doesn’t include any kind of travel or storage for the razor, so if you’re like me and you like to shave at the gym you’ll need to get yourself something suitable to keep it safe for travel.
For a price of c. 32 (at time of review) I always find shaving to be quite a costly affair, and there is a degree of ecological guilt I have when dealing with anything which has ‘disposable’ parts. Would be nice if a bit of consideration was put into a product’s end-of-life in the marketing – just a suggestio
This is a complete kit for those who need the handle not just the blades.
The handle is well balanced and easy to grip with wet hands, the blades give the smoothest finish without requiring any pressure, rinse it regularly and you won’t get it clogged up and should have an effortless shave.
It’s not cheap, but hands down, it’s worth every penny if you need to be clean shaved, would definitely recommend.
A wonderful razor that gives me a lovely smooth shave. The lubrastrip is excellent and really does help the razor glide across your face. I’ve had no issues so far and it’s one of the more comfortable razors I’ve used, especially as I have sensitive skin.
Price wise, it’s pretty decent for a razor plus a 9 months supply of blades if I’m honest and you can’t argue with the quality when it comes to Gillette as you get what you paid for.
For the price this razor and blades are good value for money, in my experience I would suggest a couple of very easy but crucial guides to follow:
1 – The blades work by far the best with a good quality shaving soap that produces a rich and thick lather. Using cheap shaving foam causes the blades to drag along the skin.
2 – The trimmer blade is absolutely awful, only use it if you like to self harm.
Using good quality shaving soap helps these blades stay sharp for longer.
Ever since I’ve needed to remove any kind of hair from my face, or other places, I’ve generally always used Gillette, that’s not to say I’ve never tried any other brands because I have, I just always found myself returning to Gillette as a reliable brand that always delivered, that and the continued evolution of their razors which some cynics say basically amounts to adding an extra blade every few years, all that research revenue being well spent! And yes to a certain extent there’s not a huge amount of room for drastic improvements in something that cuts hair close to your skin, but the little improvements they have made usually lead to more comfort when using and sharper, longer lasting blades.
This model comes with the ergonomic ProGlide handle with the FlexBall to give contour following, the lubrastrip to help keep things smooth and the 5 surgically sharp blades to hack through the toughest of man stubble. All of this results in a smooth, effortless shave so it definitely lives up to the claims, your face is left smoother than a dolphins blowhole and the razors blades last up to a month so even at 30 odd quid at time of writing you get a lot of use out of them making it reasonable value for money especially if you then only need to buy replacement blades to fit the handle.
I personally also use it for slightly more, intimate areas shall we say and while this might be a little over engineered for trimming your man garden it definitely does a good job of keeping your chap looking like the last turkey in Sainsburys!
Overall this is a worthwhile investment if you care about your face, and wherever else, looking their hairless best.
