I like this flash light, especially the nightlight feature. I take care of an elderly person and check on them frequently at night. The light filter is awsome. My mother is awaken but not bothered by the the flashlight's brightness. I usually use my hand to cover the lights brightness or put it down to create a night light.

    very durable
a bit pricy for a small flashlight
    but I’m loving it.
I’ve also got second one already.

Like the infinite brightness setting, the diffiser, and rechargeable. Yellow plug is ugly, the charging port plug will probably tear and get lost, but still hard to go wrong for 30 bucks. Solid 4 star standby imho.

4.0 out of 5 stars Superb torch
Torch is great. The small adaptor in the box to create a lamp is a bit cheap and has numerous small cracks developing already.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI wanted a new flashlight to leave by the front door for dogwalks, trips to the mailbox, etc., as the one we've had for a while now is dim by modern standards, requires AAs batteries, and quite frankly is ugly and not at all a pleasure to use. This flashlight improves upon all of those shortcomings. Is it handsome? Yes! Even more so than I thought - it really feels like a high quality piece of kit that is well made and will last. I really liked the little lantern attachment, but I'll be honest, I lost it within the first few weeks. Thank goodness for USB-based charging and long battery life. I don't know how long it lasts, but I only charge it every few weeks. The only potential shortcoming is perhaps the little piece of silicone that fits into and covers the charging port, which seems to come off easily when manipulating it. I thought for sure I would lose it in the first week, but here we are months later and I still have it! This is a great and compact flashlight that I would recommend to others, including for a gift.

Everything about this flashlight feels like a premium quality product. To the packaging to the product itself, it's clear a lot of care was put into the design as well as the functionality. The flashlight feels great in the hand as the metal finish is a matte/silk type of finish. The button mechanism is tactile and gratifying as well. The brightness is nice and there are varying levels of brightness you can select.

I really love this light for the simple fact that it doesnt have 1600 bells and whistles, gimmicks or tricks, its easy to use--you turn it on, you turn it off lol. Its shape is perfect to hold, its made of metal and has a nice weight, and it can go days without charging, which is done via USB C cable. And it's nice and brite! Definitely recommend.

Didn't know you need it until you got it.
This is one of those light you look at and go…… Do I really need it? And then you get it and wonder how you did without it for so long.
It is a great all around light. From a standard flashlight to adding its shield and making it into a table lamp, you will find yourself reaching for it all the time.

I have to say that I am very pleased with this flashlight. It really is bright and you can see things clearly. It doesn't take that long for it to get fully charged. Then the battery life is really good and long lasting. It comes with this plastic cone looking piece also, which changes it into a little lantern light or nightlight. You can change the brightness level with just a click of the power button.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersVery sleek, and awesome!
I got this because we have an issue of the power going out when a semi strong storm comes.

It’s been great so far, super bright with adjustable brightness, and different light settings like strobes, sos. Nice clicky button that tells you the charge level with red/orange/ green light.

The cap that turns the flashlight into a lantern is innovative and nice. This is thing is just sleek all around but I’m scared it won’t last as long as one of my heavy duty flashlights that can take a beating/dropped.

My only complaint is that I wish the cap that turns this into a lantern had a chain to the flashlight so I don’t lose the cap. Once it’s off it’s very easy to lose.

    A super simple bright flashligh
I have a lot of flashights. Most of them have adjustible focus, some have multiple colors, one has a side light, etc. You get the idea.

Well, this HOTA is as simple as they come. A sleek, nice looking silver body, one button on/off, and a cone you can add for diffused lighting. Other than that cone, there’s nothing to it but on and off, no adjustable brightness, nothing. But I like it, it’s got a USB-C, it’s durable and i suspect it’ll last a long time because it’s so simple.

I started carrying this one in my flashlight holster on my work belt and so far it’s been great even with abuse. It’s smooth and no nooks and crannies so easy to clean. I was skeptical, but definitely a winner.

The flash is built well and is plenty bright for whenever you need it to be. You're able to adjust brightness anywhere between 100% all the way down to around 5% just by holding in the button and watching it reduce in brightness. There is also a strobe and SOS mode that's easy to use. The lattern style cover is great for when you need to light up a room if the power is out or just to be used outside. I've been very impressed with the HOTO brand recently and this flashlight is right up there.

    Adjustable brightness and rechargeable
It’s a pretty flashlight. The casing is metal and sleek. There is one button for multiple functions.

Press the button to turn on the flashlight. Press and hold and the light dims or brightens smoothly and double blinks at either extreme end of luminescence. Double click and you activate one of two strobe modes.

It isn’t the brightest flashlight around but it doesn’t cheat on the lumens it offers. What the manufacturer says is what you get.

There is also no zoom or beam focus option. Simple straight beam. You do get a diffuser that lets you use this as a mini lantern of sorts.

There is an optional lanyard you can attach but, if you leave this off you can place the diffuser on the back when not in use.

At $39 MSRP it’s a hard sell. There are other options that offer similar functionality at lower cost. If you find it on sale the looks alone might make it worth buying.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersNot one of HOTOs Best Products...
HOTO does make some pretty awesome stuff though. I’m taking a star away on this one for them not being direct enough about the battery life. Okay, so it takes about 2 hours to fully charge. That is direct enough. But then they’ll say it is 300 lumens and the battery can last for 24 hours. While that is true, it’s not very direct. Well, for this flashlight, once it’s turned on, you can hold down the power button and it will slowly dim all the way down to 5%. It will blink to let you know when it gets that low. You just hold it down again to go the other way, and like before, it will blink to let you know when it’s up to 100% brightness. That is pretty cool though, being able to adjust the brightness like that. Anyway, according to the instructions and considering what I just said:
The lowest brightness is 20 lumens and can last for about 24 hours on one charge.
The highest brightness is 280 lumens and can last about 3 hours on one charge.
    Y’all see what I’m saying?

Also, I don’t know what HOTO was thinking with this flashlight, and the other one they make that’s similar to this, by adding that white cap so they can also be sort of like lanterns. Because it just barely stays on and just falls off way too easily…

Other than all of that, it’s still a pretty stylish, nice flashlight.

And so, I give the HOTO LED Rechargeable Flashlight a 4… out of, 5.

    Simple and effective
This flashlight has a fairly simple solid aluminum body design with a single button for control. The included diffuser does a good job of turning it into a soft glowing ball which illuminates the immediate area and works well as a beacon to signal others with. The flashlight itself has a good strong throw, and it is smooth and comfortable to hold in the hand. The side of the flashlight is good, larger than your typical “tactical” style flashlights, but smaller than a standard full size one. There’s a lanyard option, though given its size I found that to be awkward, and while the diffuser is a nice touch, the inability to tether it to the flashlight makes it a prime candidate for getting lost.

One thing I did find odd is the way that they aluminum tube is capped off at the end, it just has a strange yellow plug, rather than a screwed down aluminum cap or something, and that is honestly my main area of concern. Otherwise, the built-in charging port has a nice cover that seals up tight but isn’t too hard to take off for charging. I like the simple design which makes it easy to find and use the power button, but really the way the tube is sealed is a sticking point for me.

Overall, it is a decent flashlight, though I’m not 100% on some of the construction choices. That being said, it does what it is supposed to do, and it does it well.

Everything made by HOTO is SO AMAZING
Okay, i’ve owned a few HOTO products at this point, and one thing is crystal clear to me: They are focused on quality, innovation, and effective product design. This flashlight is no exception. It is bright but not the brightest. Just right for at night. The included lantern attachment I thought at first was sort of silly, but after learning it can be stored right on the other end of the light, AND it works GREAT at diffusing the light for keeping yourself and your path lit when taking a walk at night or dusk.

I put on a small hand lanyard utilizing the little opening at the top and this thing looks so sick!!!! Battery life is my ONLY complaint after using this for a month. It’s USB-C though so can’t complain too bad- charges very very quick. But when on lantern mode like using it as a lantern light on full blast when Im taking dabs at night outside and need plenty of light so I don’t torch the S out of my fingers xD. Considering it’s size, it works great at lighting a small personal outside area. But, i might only get 4 days worth of battery using it for that purpose, for about maybe an hour or so each time and MAYBE some times in between. So, im assuming this is using a high quality 18650 or 20650, because at 1500mah, a high amp high capacity 18650 can be found for less than 8 bucks and probably way less for manufacturers. So i dont get why they dont beef up the battery and list this for another $2 and double or triple the capacity. Thats the ONLY issue i see that could GREATLY improve this product. Also, tightening or finding a better solution so the lantern cap can store tighter and more securely onto the front and back would be nice since im constantly having to align it perfectly (ocd) and occasionally knock it off. Maybe a locking or simple mechanical clipping mechanism would be another consideration. These things would make A SICK Version 2! 😛

ANyways, build quality though, best on amazon for this category.
