5.0 out of 5 stars Good product, excellent value for money These drill bits did exactly the job I needed them for. Really good value for money and good quality too.
5.0 out of 5 stars Fit for purpose Bought these to drill porcelain tiles and did the job
But may not stand up to continued use
Fit as a cheap one off use purchase
4.0 out of 5 stars Don't use with a hammer drill or the carbide tip will detatch. Nicely packed in a neat case. Have purchased before and they lasted well
5.0 out of 5 stars does the job Have used these drill bits continually drilling stainless steel and they are doing a great job provided you use cutting fluid and set the correct drilling speed.
Excellent Value They are a very good buy, well worth the money.
I have only had my set for a couple of days, but they have worked well on very hard plastic.
You can see the plastic is being removed, as soon as you apply the grinding bit.
Excellent purchase.
These do a FIRST CLASS JOB I bought theses cobalt drills as my ordinary ones would not penetrate the piece of stainless steel pipe I wanted to drill, to anchor my new garden clothes line and kept blunting badly. They were delivered quickly in a proper drill-pack and were a bit more expensive than my normal drills, but they did the job speedily and went through two sides of a 7mm thick stainless tube comfortably in no time.
I would certainly recommend them to any-one!
Good for fine detail I purchased these to try with a flexible power shaft, as my 9 year old grandson is into whittling. Finger strength matters, so may continue using a whittling knife on bass wood, but these will be useful on small details.
4.0 out of 5 stars Cheap and cheerful, does the job good value These wont last to long but you get what you pay for , good value for money but if your looking for some something more robust then buy Makita
Worth the money. I needed these to drill holes in a redundant ceramic bird bath so I could use it for planting succulents.
The diamond tip helps to dig into the surface and prevents skipping about with the drill bit. To stop the drill bit getting too hot get someone else to slowly pour water carefully where you are drilling.
Cuts through the surface like butter compared with a masonry drill bit.
In 5 minutes all the drainage holes where done.
Easy to machine stainless steel. When machining stainless A2 or A4 steel, ordinary drill bits blunt fairly easily. However these low cobalt content drill bits cut through stainless, alloys etc, and stay sharp for much longer. However be careful and don’t apply too much pressure when drilling, as Cobalt drills are more brittle than pure HSS, and can shatter.
Patience needed I bought these specifically to drill through tiles in my shower. Top tip is, Use lots of water, take it slow and be patient. If you’re drilling half decent tiles this is going to take a while. Remember, you’re not drilling plasterboard or even brick so it’s a totally different challenge. Keep the revs low and be patient and you’ll end up with the most perfect holes you’ve ever drilled!
Good-value tile drill bits These were good and good value for money but the tiles I needed to drill were very tough and in the end, I needed a diamond-tipped drill bit to finish the job.
