I bought this as my starter set and the ones I’ve used have performed well (although admittedly I don’t have any basis for comparison as these are my first ones). If you’re a seasoned woodworker then you’re probably buying single high quality bits anyway, but if you are an enthusiastic amateur like me then they are a good set. Only thing I don’t like is that they are a bit tough to take out of their sleeves so I am waiting for the day my fingers slip trying to take out the 6mm straight bit and leave me with 2 cuts in finger and thumb – they will be nice and straight though.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI was a bit sceptical when seeing some of the reviews, but I needed a bit urgently for a project., so I just bought them. I knew that for the price they wouldn’t be amazing but still bought them anyway. As soon as they arrived I started using them. Firstly I used the 45 degree bit and the result was very good. Smooth and no chip out on Ash. I then used the smaller round over bit and this was on 9mm Plywood. The result was OK. The I used the larger round over bit. Again this was a good result. I hope they last a while as I do use a router most days, and for the price, I am impressed with them. Well worth the price. Check the bearing nut before use as mine were slight loose. Other that that they are great.

This small set of commonly used router bits are perfect for my new Katsu router, which I bought as a complimentary router to go with my large one. The bits are well made and well selected too. I admit I quite enjoy routing and have to say that using my new router and these bits is a lot easier (and less stressful) than using my main one.

The bits come in the red case, as per photos, are very well made and finished and should last for years. Normally I would be looking at more expensive bits, but to be perfectly honest, these have proved their worth already. I am happy to recommend these to you.

Its a fab little starter set for a router at a reasonable price . The robustness doesnt look the best on the bearings but time will tell . As for now im quite pleased with them

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersThese are not top quality bits but they are OK and they will get you started. There are many ways to use a router and it is usually impossible to predict all of the uses you will put it to when you first get one. With that in mind a cheap set of bits like this is a good buy as it is varied and capable, allowing you to explore the things you can do with your own router. Two of these bits I wore out pretty quickly, but I replaced them with bits that each cost more than this entire set. The remainder of the bits in the set have mostly been used once or twice. That’s what I expected to happen and because this is a cheap set I don’t consider it a waste — I bought this set to help me learn and they worked very well for that and allowed me to make some fine things out of wood as I learned.

Recommended if you’re new to using a router — once you find out which ones you actually use you can buy better quality.

I agree with most of the other reviewers. For the price, you get a surprisingly good set of bits. Sharp enough to cut me whilst getting out the box!

However, like others, a star had been knocked off for the box. It’s incredibly flimsy and arrived broken. Bit of glue fixed the actual box but the bit storage inside is a little beyond repair.

Overall a good buy, but don’t expect to keep the bits in the box for very long.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersFirstly, as others have commented, the wooden case supplied is very flimsy to the point that it arrived in pieces (see photo) Normally I would have returned it for a replacement but I’d ordered an alternative set from a different supplier which, despite being ordered on the Thursday still hadn’t been dispatched the following Monday (Prime) As I was keen to get on with my project I elected to keep this set and managed to repair the box using copious amounts of glue. Now, about the bits. I only used three of the bits and they did the job admirably on a piece of pine. Obviously I can’t comment on how they’ll perform with continued use but if you want a set for the odd project I would say at the price these are an excellent buy. Probably worth 5 stars but lose a star for the woeful quality of the case.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice bits, shame about the case.
