These are actually quite good and I turned to them after peppering myself from wire offshoots from official Dremel accessories. Very dangerous stuff so these are obviously less likely to shed over me. Gives good quality results but don’t be too aggressive when using

Seemed like a cost effective solution to me. I have used a couple and they lasted longer than my previous simple thinner wire versions. They won’t last long but I believe that is normal with these things and considering the per unit cost you can’t complain in my opinion, they also seem less lethal than the simple wire ones, you still need eye protection but I didn’t feel wires flying off and hitting my arms like my old ones!

I use these for polishing up die cast toys after stripping the paint they do an excellent job far better than old fashioned wire wheels that fire of dangerous shards of wire into your skin, clothes and every where you don’t want them excellent choice

Definitely do a good job of cleaning, but I’m going through them like hot cakes as they wear down very quickly. I’m trying them on an old motorbike engine in the hard to reach areas and they do work but for each one I’m getting a minutes worth of use before having to change it.

Worked well removing carbon from an alloy cylinder head and valves without damaging the surface. They don’t last long and you have to take care not to touch the surface with the metal shaft. Wear some eye protectio

I’ve only been using them today but I’m impressed with the ability to remove rust off my foot pegs on my fzs 600 “I’ve only owned it for a few months and the rust was already present”. I’ll update with more pictures and details as the work continues. As you can see with the grit level 80 and a few swipes it’s already taken the rust clean off, it’s just a matter of hitting it with the finer grit levels and some autosol polish with a microfiber cloth and it should look great once more.

5.0 out of 5 stars Impressive and cheap enough.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThese are aggressive little so and so’s! Good value because you get so many – and you’ll need a lot because they don’t last long. They do a very good job of cleaning or abrading surfaces, but will leave burnish/sanding marks on some surfaces (eg brass). So, good for getting through the grime but not for a finely polished finish. As other have said, bits of the materials dislodge and fly everywhere in use, so eye protection and a mask should be obligatory.

Actually really impressed with these little fellas. Work a treat and nice to have a variety of grades to use. Reasonably strong. Photos show before and after use on a radiator cap. Would definitely buy again but will take a while to get through all of them!

I like these. Fast removal of firescale/marks, reasonable access to tight spots, good result and seem to wear okay.
The roughest (brown) gives a beautiful brushed finish.
For the price/quantity, these are great.

Really good buffing abrasive wheels for the Dremel make polishing and final smoothing of metal surfaces a dream. Good value pack. Don’t use too early in the process of removing rough areas though as you will soon tear through the pack!

Last longer than any other product for sanding intricate areas of wood with my dremel. Takes off old furniture paint on a Welsh dresser well. Yes, sure they wear down and need replacing but these have also managed to get into difficult areas to remove paint and haven’t damaged wood.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersBought these to try and clean up a very ornate large brass base for a candelabra – I’d already soaked the brass in soda then lemon juice to clean up the corrosion, but was left with a lot of areas needing a light sand to get the bright finish back – and due to the ornate nature of the piece, hand sanding would not have worked.
I have a Dremel but none of the bits sold by Dremel were what I needed – they are either too aggressive, like the grinding stones or wire wheels, or too soft, like the felt discs.
Anyway: these did the job superbly. Other reviews about the speed they wear down are correct – that’s not a failing of the product though but just the way these scotchbrite-style sanding things work, and hand sanding pads wear down quickly too.
The highest grade (black) is also more flexible than the lowest, so was excellent for getting right into little nooks and crannies. It wears out the fastest too.
At the price these are, I can highly recommend.

I use these pads to polish aluminium diecast Toy Cars.
They are excellent for this job. With the various grades i can get the perfect finish ready for repaint.
It’s a must to get the bulk of the old paint off first or you will soon rip thru all your pads in no time

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersWork really well at what they are designed for, but they wear away really quickly.

You get a really good amount in the bag though, so that’s good. Also make sure you wear a dust mask as these give off a lot of fine dust and debris from the item being worked on and also from the wheel itself disintegrating.

Overall would recommend for light tasks.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersI build guitars and bought these to experiment with using them for polishing the frets after crowning them, which is a very tedious job. They did the job a lot quicker and with much less effort than fret rubbers; the finest grit here is still relatively coarse so you still need to finish them off (I used some 2000 grit sandpaper) but it took a lot of the grunt work out of the process. I certainly recommend giving them a go for this purpose – obviously you have to protect the fretboard but that’s the case with any fret polishing solution.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI used this to clean up a very old (1970) car head. I has used wire brush but they only lasted for a short time. The first one did start spinning on it stud but had done to chambers by then. Second one is going strong for the rest. I have not cleaned them yet they keep going. Getting the black carbon off was hard and I did try quite a few thing. So very happy wit them.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersWe have some some aluminium trim around the edge of tiles in a bathroom. It was getting a bit stained and sad looking, so I decided that these polishing wheels might restore the metal to its former shiny glory. They did indeed remove stains and made the aluminium bright, but a bit scratched. Even with the finest one, they leave light scratches, as indeed I should have realised, even 300 grit is too coarse to leave a mirror finish. However, having now gone over the surfaces with a finer grade of abrasive, the result is superb. So in short, a really good set of polishing wheels but for a “mirror” finish on aluminium, you will need to finish with a finer grade. Having said that, they work superbly.

I bought these to sand the back of scroll saw work, to get rid of the kerf, They work well for this purpose and also provide a slight round off to the edges which is saving a lot of time hand sanding. The only skight downside is that the higher grades wear down quite quickly but they are not expensive per piece and the time saved makes them a very worthwhile addition to my workshop

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersI bought these without reading the Description carefully enough… and what I thought was just a Product Designator Number, did IN FACT mean that there were 80 Pieces !! Silly me, but as it turns out… LUCKY me !! I’ve Polished & Sanded anything I could lay my Hands on !! They are sturdy and very efficient (in the right hands) but as they wear away rather quickly it’s great to have a big bagful on hand. I’ve never used my Dremel Tool so much and for such long periods !!
    I’d highly recommend them !!

Golden Review Award: 14 From Our UsersI have a lot of old brass and copper hinges and fixings to restore. The problem with both being that if I wet flat to remove thick verdigris, even with fine grade abrasives, it shows a little after the final polish.

These little marvels are made out of the same stuff that you get on washing up sponges to scrub pans and they did an excellent job of taking off not just the verdigris, but also a couple of coats of old nicotine coloured yacht varnish too!
All was quick and easily done using these and some buffing pads on a Dremel attachment with excellent finished results.

The only down side is that I got through quite a lot of them. Edges that opposed the rotation of the attachment, a couple of hinge joints and quite a few raised screw heads did their best to try and shred these. I soon learned a few strategies to reduce the damage but even so…

On a brighter note, these are amazing value for money compared to others on sale that are identical, so I didn’t worry too much about the rate of wear.

I will definitely be buying these again and again till the project is complete.
