Once I got the hang – I watch a video, it was great. Bit slow but I’m building up from zero so that’s fine. Up to 10 minutes from 2 last week so very happy. Almost down a link so it’s definitely doing something! Give it a try, really.
Amazing product, I was nearly put off by reviews of noise and difficulty to reduce size but I suppose it depends on the individual. Having difficulty taking sections out – squeeze the inner section together and to remove, tilt the unwanted section backwards.
I purchased this to see how I would get on. I liked the idea of what it was capable of doing. I’ve been using it for 6 days and have noticed a difference in my body shape. HOWEVER this morning the wheels came off, literally on the mechanism that spins around the hoop. I am disappointed that this happened so soon after purchase. Not easy to fix as there are no spares. I know this was a cheap alternative so I guess you get what you pay for.
It arrived safely packaged, but the “instructions ” are little more than a sales pamphlet on an utterly useless warranty (has to be returned but no return address and the terms of use mean it will be invalid against the product as you have to ‘dismantle ‘ to to use it each time!, but who needs a warranty on a 10 product anyway?).
The Instructions don’t actually tell you how to add/remove sections to adjust the size. It’s OK to work it out, but there is one clip which is clearly supposed to be used as the entry/exit point and I can’t figure it out so I just squeeze another section to open. I am concerned this might break it over time.
There is no indication of how tight it should be or how long to use it safely for. This is easy enough to Google but each info seems to relate to each, slightly different, brand or design.
It’s not as noisy as I feared; I didn’t need to turn the TV up. Its not as dangerous as I feared, I’m a bit of a calamity Jane but I only hit a wall once and didn’t break or damage anything around me.
I bought it due to lower back pain and after only 1 use I feel more flexible and less painful, whether it works over time or as a fitness aid is yet to be seen.
Bonus use tho- my dachshund loves it and runs around and around me trying to chase it! He’s never chased a ball in his life, being of the you-threw-it-you-go-and-get-it canine persuasion, so at least if it fails as an exercise aid it will work as an unexpected dog toy!
I bought these as I’ve seen them everywhere and seem easy to use, however, when I received mine, I found the links quite hard to take off plus there were no helpful ideas on different ways to use it. If you look on line, you’re given use ways and different says to hoop. Just a shame I had to Google instead of maybe a help booklet I side too.
Only down fall is there was any instructions on how to remove the links. Didn’t realise it had an opening on one of the links.
Love this hoola hoop, so much easier than a conventional one.
That said it took me a couple of goes to get a smooth rhythm going.
So pleased I bought it.
