This is a serious bit of kit. It’s easy to use with the self-propelled feature. The grass collector is like a TARDIS. It looks compact but holds a lot of grass trimmings. Highly recommended.

I have 1 lung and our gardener moved away so, as I am now retired, I tried this self drive mower. Stopping regularly to get my breath it is fantastic well made and easy use just fit the handle.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersHealth problems prevent me from mowing our lawn, my wife needed something that was lightweight, easy to use and will give the lawn a decent cut. The Hyundai 16.5″ / 42cm Cordless 40v Lithium-Ion Battery Self-Propelled Lawnmower did exactly that.

Only done four mows, did have faulty handle which was replaced pretty quick,at first I was disappointed with this mower as on its shortest it didn’t look good but coming back along my first line it looks good plus gives stripes.

Like the fact I can adjust the height of the cut. Lawn looks much better than with our old hover mower and a lot less effort needed.
Still not figured out how to fold it for storage though

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis self propelled electric mower is more than adequate for my small
Lawn. Although the speed is not adjustable it is appropriate for a garden mower.
    The plus points-
No hand pulling a starter cord wondering whether the machine will start,
No filling up petrol cans to transfer the fuel to the mower,
No walking behind a plume petrol exhaust, which, with the best will in the world, can’t be good for ones health.
Negative points- I can’t think of any.
The criticisms which are voiced in the other reviews look to be personal preferences rather than criticisms of the machine per say but all in all this is a five star mower (for the price).

5.0 out of 5 stars Fast efficient and no petrol fumes.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersA good machine overall…just what was needed. The only drawback is the self propelled function….it’s a basic on/off switch…a simple rheostat switch or similar would allow the speed to be controlled to the benefit of the operator… and Hyundai frankly.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersMy petrol-operated, push mower was getting too heavy for me to use on my small front lawn due to having to turn the whole thing around after every 12 metres or so, although it was fine for my larger back lawn …. providing that the grass was dry! Otherwise, even damp grass would clog-up in the short “tunnel” to the collection bag. No such problems with the Hyundai! Even wet cuttings just fly into the bag and, what’s more, lies level once in the bag. If I had to find something to complain about it would be the lack of a soft-start when using the powered drive on my back lawn (not worth on the front lawn). I am a reasonably fit 90-years-old and can keep up with the mower on a longer run but on starting from rest it tends to leap forward until I catch up with it. This could be modified or included in the item specification at a very reasonable cost.

The self propelling lever was not attached when the mower arrived which caused a bit of difficulty to re-attach it and I find the battery difficult to remove from the battery charger – I can’t find any “latch button” to press and hold as per the instructions. Otherwise, I am delighted with this mower. It is so much lighter to use than my old petrol mower.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very easy lawn mowing!

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI bought this for my grandparents as they owned a petrol mower which was getting a bit hard to start for them. I’ll start with the negatives first

Weight: it’s heavy… In fact it’s only 500g less than their petrol mower

Self propelled: it’s probably OK if you’re still very mobile but if your knocking on a bit it’ll drag you round the garden, a speed control would have been a nice addition, unfortunately they’ve reverted to just pushing it as it’s way too fast for them.

Battery life: the battery life is OK for a small patch of but you’ll only get 12-15 minutes of self propelled use at a push (outside temperature and grass length will play a role on how long it’ll last) + the extra batteries are pretty expensive which in all fairness is pretty standard

    Positives
Cuts very well and has an adjustable cutting length, the build quality seems pretty decent as far as a lawnmower goes. The battery seems to charge quickly and has storage on board for another pack. Not so much a negative but it would have been handy if you could charge the battery without having to remove i

I do like using the mower. Fairly lightweight. Downside is the battery only lasts about 10 minutes which not enough for my two lawns. Mind the manufacturer stated that. Fairly happy.

Having convinced myself that I needed a much larger garden in retirement – and having bought a new house with a huge garden to prove it – I was dismayed at the work involved with my old plug-in electric mower. The Hyundai is cordless, so no whip-cracking, Indiana Jones-style flex manoeuvres; is self-propelled, so no muscle-twanging effort required; and is maintenance-free so no oil change and/or spark plug to deal with.
A great buy. What took over an hour now takes only 20 minutes on a single charge and has taken the chore/bore element out of lawn care.

Not bad, pleased with it. It will mow a back garden like this on one charge but that’s about it. Slight amount of “range anxiety”, I had expected it to be able to do this twice before needing a charge. Solid build, good quality materials.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not bad

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI was quite surprised as to how good this lawn mower is after using it a couple of times being a woman in my 60s I found it very easy to assemble on my own. I have not had any issues with the battery life as some other reviews have stated. I have a medium to large garden and managed to cut the grass using one battery using both self propelling and manual as it has wheels it was very easy for me to push along. Although a bit pricey I personally think it is well worth the money and so much better than my old corded Flymo. The only negative thing about the lawn mower is that for me I found it to be quite heavy to lift, but there are so many positives about it that I am very pleased with my purchase.

Light but sturdy, easy to manoeuvre and easy to change the grass cutting height. I wanted to go petrol-free so this is a good choice. The only problem is that the battery only lasts for 20 minutes when fully charged and takes about an hour and a half to recharge. I therefore had to buy a spare battery because it takes me about an hour to cut my lawn.

Cable to Drive bar was too short to reach hook hole, but eventually was able to stretch to fit.Found rest of fitting together easy, as per included instructions. No problem charging the included battery, and fitting it into mower. It is easy to find a suitable cutting height with the side adjusting lever.Overall sarisfied with purchase.

Self Propelled is great. Nice mower.
Should come with at least two batteries, but only comes with one. Order a spare one. If you have large garden, 60by 90 ft, you need a spare battery. It takes two batteries to cut if long and wet. Not tried it yet on short dry grass, hopefully one battery will last.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersQuite a good mower. Made short work of my small/medium sized garden in half the time it took me with my previous 20 year old push mower. Downside is it moves a bit fast for me given my age and health situation. Very easy to assemble and use but battery life is quite poor. I had to wait almost 2 hours to recharge in order to finish the work. I’m considering getting a second battery when Hyundai has them though the price is quite steep – enough to buy a push mower!

The battery extraction from its charger is extremely difficult.
Also replacement cost of the battery is very expensive, and the battery has quite a short life expectancy.
The mower is very good in its operation, and very convenient to start and run.

Purchased the machine in August 2021. It developed a fault at the end of the grass cutting season and was returned to the Hyundai. After a bit of a delay it was eventually replaced with a new mower. The mower is very easy to assemble and use although the battery life is somewhat limited

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersHI TO ANY ONE WHO IS READING THIS I BOUGHT THIS ABOVE ITEM ON THE 14th 0F APRIL AS PETROL ONE GAVE UP ON ME WHICH I AM GETTING SOME ONE TO SERVICE IT.
BACK TO THE ITEM ABOVE IS A VERY GOOD MACHINE THE ONLY THING IS YOU DO NEED TWO BATTERIES AS THIS ONLY CAME WITH ONE AND LASTED FOR ABOUT HALF THE LAWN IT WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER
IF TWO WERE GIVEN INSTEAD OF ONE OVER ALL IT IS A VERY GOOD LAWN MOWER I DO LIKE IT A LOT AND I WOULD RECOMMENED IT

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersPerfect for female owner. Easy to assemble. Super prompt delivery. Quick battery charge, easy to see what charge is left when mowing. I did purchase a second battery, which I would recommend but well worth it as it can be carried inside the mower.
No more power walking or going to the gym with the self propelled model.
So far I love this mower.
Like other reviewers, couldn’t wait to use it, straight from box to cutting.

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersDifficult to get battery to click into place, when wanting to use the mower. it clicks easily into charger and spare battery compartment, but not into the actual compartment for use. It leaves big tyre tracks, but otherwise cut the grass well, ease to switch on , and turn the corners. The grass collection bag is a good size and light to carry when full.
