Purchased at 15 but on sale at 9.99 now which would definitely make it a worthwhile purchase.

Good quality. Sturdier than cheaper past purchases so easier to use.
Used for a variety of repairs from PS4, oven element change, toilet cistern. Also includes handy little metal pin which can be used for resetting router, etc when you can’t find a paperclip. Plastic and metal spatulas have also come in handy to prise open things.

I ordered this kit out of curiosity rather than need, as I have more tools than one person should have in their lifetime. Given the price, I expected this kit to be tacky, good enough for a job or two and then be disposed of. By the end of the day, how good can a sub-20 kit containing about 90 bits and pieces can be? Funny enough, most of my Amazon parcels arrive in oversized boxes, but this one arrived in no Amazon box at all. On top of that, the address label was put right on the main box, so keep that in mind if you order this kit as a present.
When I first opened this kit, I was pleasantly surprised: screwdriver bits look well cut, prying tools (both metal and plastic ones) look as good as you can find in kits worth twice as more than this one.

I immediately thought of close resemblance to iFixit Pro Toolkit, perhaps it was meant to be the budget version for those who do not repair tech stuff on a daily basis, but would like to have the required tools for an occasional precision job at home without paying the premium. However, being priced at less than 30% of the price of the iFixit’s toolkit at the time of this review, this kit is nonetheless impressive. Only time will tell how long will it last, but if you have to open up about 2 – 3 devices (such as laptops or mobile phones) a day, I have no reason to think these tools will need replacement too soon. Metal prying tools and tweezers are very sturdy, plastic ones are sufficiently thick to last long enough, screwdriver handle is comfortable to hold without putting too much strain on your hand, and the range of bits should cover most of your needs, whether you’re building/repairing common laptops, PCs, Macbooks, Mac Minis, iPhones etc. These bits are also compatible with the other screwdriver handles designed to hold 4mm bits. ESD-safe wrist wrap may also give you extra assurance your job won’t go sideways because of a nasty electrostatic charge, even though it’s not a very common problem nowadays. The kit also has a magnetic pad (white one on the photos), which is strong enough to hold little screws and even screwdriver bits and prevent them from dispersing around in case of an accident. The whole case is compact enough to carry it on its own or throw in a bag.

I have also made a couple of photos comparing this kit to iFixit’s tools. There a couple of small differences, but many tools are quite similar in terms of functionality. If you’re still about to get your first comprehensive precision kit, want to top up your toolbox with extra tools or even want one for spares or odd jobs, this kit is certainly worth going for! I couldn’t think of any downsides given the price/quality ratio. Great kit.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing bit of kit for the price.

Only problem is the plastic components are not enough strong to use for everything

Simply put, this is a great set of mini tools for use with laptops, glasses…….anything that uses small screws, pins etc. It has virtually everything you need or could want to fix small items. They are put in a box that makes it easy to see which tool you need. Overall, this is a great set and I am happy to recommend it.

Use it all the time, really well made. Was able to tear down and rebuild my entire laptop with this kit!

This precision screwdriver set is ideal for small electronic repairs, like phones, tablets, laptops and games consoles.

It has an anti static band in it, various tweezers, a craft knife, sim card opening tools, tools to scrape and lever, the precision screwdriver set and more besides.

It all comes in a fabric, velcro case to keep it all neat and tidy.

There are plenty of screwdriver bits of various sizes and styles so most items should be covered.

This is well packaged and you get a lot for your money. I’m not sure how durable it all would be, but to get you started on minor repairs it may be worth considering.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersOver time I’ve replaced a few cellphone batteries. If you’ve ever done this yourself or seen the videos on youtube, you’ll know it’s a delicate operation, especially the opening and closing of the phone case. I’ve used the included tools each time but some of them are very flimsy and ineffective.

Time for a better approach and a better set of tools. The ilabPRO Precision Screwdriver toolkit is the perfect accompaniment to the job of replacing internal batteries on miniaturized equipment and also in the disassembly and repair of miniature electronic devices.

The toolkit is totally comprehensive and offers all the relevant bits, drivers, and micro tools to get to those hard-to-reach places and fixings. Everything is laid out in a semi-hard toolbag container, with the added extra of a separate foldout case for the screwdriver and bits.

I replaced a battery on an iPhone 6 last week using this kit and found it provided all the correct tools I needed. They all fitted the fixings correctly and provided good tactile grips and leverage. Nothing felt awkward to use or out of place in the repair.

IF you are working on micro repairs often, or just want a reliable toolkit on the odd occasion, this is an excellent choice. There will be hardly anything you want that’s not supplied here and all the materials are strong and robust enough for repeated use on a regular basis.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very comprehensive set of micro tools, well made and robust for repeated use.

If you can get this at a budget price it will offer quite good value for money. Most of the tools and components are quite well made and they do generally work okay. Obviously this isn’t a premium product but for the most part the quality is acceptable.

This kit contains almost everything you will need for opening and/or repairing most small electrical items from phones to consoles.

Having had to open a couple of phones in the last few years often without the correct equipment I found it very difficult, long gone are the days where you could just unscrew something and fix it now days everything is stuck down or latched with hidden clips but here is a reasonably priced kit to aid in all aspects of the disassembly.

The plastic plectrums come in 2 forms kind of soft/flexible and firm/ridged so you have some choice depending on your need, you get both plastic and metal spudgers so you have options depending on what you’re scraping I never like to use metal on a pcb just encase I’m too heavy handed and scratch a trace.

Everything feels of a decent quality except the craft knife which feels a little flimsy and rattles when moved but it’s not something I will likely use a lot so that’s not an issue, the plastic prying tools don’t flex when pressure is applied which is nice and the tips are not soft like some others, I have tried so they will still be useable after the 1st use, both the metal and plastic spudgers/scrapers have a nice strength to them neither flex overly when put under pressure.

The driver and bits come in a nice strong box which latches nicely when closed and when you open the lid the bits all stand up allowing for easy selection, the bits feel well made and like others have said there is a little wiggle room when put in the driver but I don’t feel its enough to be an issue, the driver itself feels very nice, it feels like a well machined piece of metal with rubber band grips at one end and a swivel head at the other to aid use.

The 90-piece kit comes enclosed in a wrap around reinforced fabric case meaning everything is kept together and should make finding things easier when you need them as long you put them away when you finish.

These screwdriver bits and associated tools are a very handy item to just have around the house. I will keep mine in the go to drawer which is where I go to when needing bits for small repairs around the house.

Many times, a little problem arises and when you go to fix it you find that the screw driver bit is the wrong type. There should be no such problem here as there are so many different bits for almost any screw head. These are not designed for putting in largish wood screws they are for more delicate work on smaller screws.

Also included are many tools like a screen suction cup which would allow you to swap out mobile phone screens. Computer repairs/upgrades can be done a bit safer thanks to the earthing strap. The kit includes so many tools such as tweezers, scrapers, hobby knife that not only would it be very useful to hobbyists but also to professional phone/laptop repairers.

Very pleased with the kit and the folding case that comes with it.

This is a review for the 90 piece set of tools.

First impressions when opening the package are good. The set comes in a smart, quite large heavy duty semi-rigid folding case, with the tools neatly arranged and accessible. You seem to get a tool for any occasion, with the main focus of course being on the screwdriver and its many attachments. You also get various spudgers, tweezers, plastic pry tools and so on. There is even an anti-static wrist strap for use with sensitive electronics.

The tools provided are of a decent standard (certainly I would not say they are to a professional grade) and for the money I think they are perfectly adequate for an avid DIY’er. There are a couple of minor issues though:

The driver bits are a little too slack fitting in the driver for my liking (perfectly useable, but there is movement – I prefer a nice snug fit)

There is in my view excessive movement in all the driver attachments except for the drill bit attachment, which is engineered to a closer tolerance, it seems.

The bits themselves seem to be well engineered, with crisp, clean working ends. How long they last is an unknown, but if used properly with correct matching between bit and the screw/fastener to be worked on, they should give very good service. I have given 3 stars for durability only because it is an unknown.

The driver part of the set up is comfortable to use, with a smoothly rotating top and 3 grippy rubber rings further down the body to help give leverage. As said earlier though, it is a shame that the shank that fits into the driver handle is a slightly loose fit, and with the bits being a slack fit in the shank as well, the movement mounts up.

The case for the driver and bits is quite adequate. On opening using the black locking button (a nice touch), the many bits inside pop up into the vertical for easy selection. When finished with the tool the lid closes again with a satisfying click, and is firmly shut, so hopefully no contents will spill out onto the floor when it is being moved.

These will be used many times by myself when I repair my cameras, tablets, laptops and so on. My old tools are showing heavy signs of use and will now be relegated to the ‘spares drawer’.

A good, comprehensive set of tools.

The core of this kit is the same 60-piece set of manual screwdriver bits and driver etc as is sold alone and is centred on the median sizes of the range possible. There is a set that includes a small electric driver and concentrates on the smaller sizes of bit although there is some cross-over of sizes; that will suit a largely different range of devices. The “ilabPRO Precision Screwdriver Set — Toolkit with Magnetic Screwdriver bits and Hand Tools for Phone, Tablet, Laptop, PC, Watch and Glasses Repair — Includes Torx, Hex, Tri and Pentalobe (90 Piece)” adds a fitted hard case with carry handle plus a variety of accessories including spudgers that are designed to help open the cases of several older types of phone and other small devices, and for other related tasks. It also includes two ‘keys’ that allow SIM and TF-card drawers of many smartphones and other devices to be opened.

The case that contains the screwdriver and bits is tightly closed by a clip and, when opened, the several trays within should rise to vertical to present their contents of a variety of smaller blade, Philips, hex, Torx and numerous security bits. A single hex nut driver is also offered in each tray. In addition to the driver is a flexible extension. The screwdriver handle is smoothly rounded top-to-toe but with a couple of embedded rubber rings for additional grip. As supplied, a 5cm solid extension is pre-fitted to the driver and the bits can be used with that or without as best suits a situation.

The trays are each labelled with a representation of the style of bit and its size slot-by-slot. However, the labelling is only visible when the trays are close to horizontal and almost invisible when they are raised. It may be best to remove a bit, use it and then replace it in the gap before removing another as they may otherwise not later be in their correct locations and time will be wasted searching for one that is then elusive. One obvious omission from the kit is a tray in which any removed screws, washers or nuts can be safely stored for the duration; smaller ones are easily lost and not always easy to find should they fall onto a carpeted floor, possibly not always on a hard floor.

While described as ‘Precision’ that is probably more to describe its intended purpose and application than its quality. The bits are made from ‘tool steel’ which is not the most helpful or definitive description; others of the brand’s mini-hex driver kits use S2 steel so it is a possibility – there is no way to tell although S2 steel is brittle and can sometimes shatter during use. The bits are magnetic, which can be advantageous, but slightly loose within the holder and able to wobble although not unduly excessively. Even a slight wobble can easily result in damage to screw heads on which they are used and that is likely to render the very smallest completely incapable of release or replacement, larger ones possibly slightly less but removable only with some difficulty.

The screwdriver set is available alone and likely to satisfy most users’ needs – one essentially similar was purchased several years ago although with differences in styling. The additional tools included in the kit are primarily aimed at a particular group of users who are likely to need them when repairing a specific group of mostly older and discontinued devices, many of which may still be regularly used. Some tools will be needed with more recent models and devices.

It offers good value for money although it is not a perfect solution. It is likely that larger dedicated versions, especially of the Philips drivers, will also be needed as that type and size of screw is often encountered. If the included bits are cut similarly to other Chinese-made screwdriver kits previously used, they are likely to be below specification, potentially sometimes fail and cause damage to screw heads etc.
