Good price, better watch
I had to replace my smart watch and thought, in the interim, I’ll get a reasonably priced analog watch. Wearing it, I’ve changed my mind. This is an excellent watch. For me, it’s the perfect size face and easy to read. The “Day” and “Date” are easy to read off the face too, plus, it glows in the dark…and who doesn’t love that?
I can’t speak for if it’s water proof, because I haven’t brought it for that purpose and have no plans to try, but on the whole, this is an excellent watch and definitely worth the money.
Excellent watch
Bought this watch as I wanted a clear, reasonably priced watch that looks great and I am very pleased with it. The clear face makes it easy to tell the time at a glance and the Matt black finish makes it look very military. The supplied strap is adequate but not great so I would recommend getting a different strap. This is the second of these watches I have owned and I am very pleased with it. Highly recommended.
Wanted an analogue watch for a change and I’m very pleased with this one. I’ve had it for a couple weeks at least now, and have broken it in. It fits comfortably on my wrist and keeps time well. It is simple to change date and time and looks really good. It claims that it has a sturdier glass on it that protects from scratches and i was intrigued because I work in a shop and my watches get scratched up, not dramatically but they do. So far, it’s lived up to the claim. Ive gently knocked it and scraped it against poles, shelf edges and doorways etc and it’s just as pristine as when I got it. The watch face glows nicely though I noticed it took a few days for the watch to start glowing at full force. The first couple of nights, I could see it but mildly, ie I had to hold it up to my face to really make it out, and now I can see it quite comfortably from a normal distance. It may not be the same for you, but I mention it only to say that if it doesn’t seem that bright for that long at first, give it a few days.
My only niggle is the the watch band has two grips to hold it in place but only one of them moves and it always slides back does a little, meaning the end of the band starts to curl and catch on clothes but that’s a very minor thing and I genuinely like the watch too much for it to be a major issue.
Looks good, feels good, has the day and date and overall, is a really good watch.
I had a small problem with the watch, contacted them about it and they dealt with it quickly.
The. date and time does not work properly. I contacted these guys and they sent me a replacement straight away. I am extremely pleased with the service they give, top marks. would use them agai
With the failure of my regular daily use wristwatch, I needed one that had as nearly as many features as the previous watch. This watch has met all of my requirements and is easy to see together with good luminous figures and hands.
3rd time lucky.
I had to go through a couple of watches to get the right one. It is comfortable on the wrist, a good weight, keeping perfect time upto now
Bit fiddley setting the date and time, nice to look at whether working or going out. Good response from seller will certainly recommend and will use again when and if the occasion arrises.
4.0 out of 5 stars It's comfortable to wea
Like the black face and luminous fingers and numbers and comfortable to wea
A good purchase
It’s a good looking, sturdy watch that is easy to read (important as my eyesight isn’t what it used to be). It’s also very comfortable with a nice wide strap. Would recommend.

5.0 out of 5 stars Watch
Bought it for hubby to wear for work as he didn’t want to ruin his best one. It’s a nice watch and very easy to set time and date.

5.0 out of 5 stars it works as it should what more can one ask
as an ex-infantry officer for 23 years, it took me back..
Exelent watch!!
I love this watch! My son had one and he broke it after using it for quite a few years. He didn’t want different one. He said” I want exactly the same”. It’s very stylish and durable so You can’t go wrong going for it.
4.0 out of 5 stars Visibility in the darkness.
Low illumination in the darkness, but can still read the time.
4.0 out of 5 stars Good watch
I got this for my son and he is very happy with the design and quality.
4.0 out of 5 stars Good
Has worked well as a watch. 4 stars because it said some flash function but this definitely does not have that which is disappointing
4.0 out of 5 stars Good value stylish watch
Arrived quickly. Stylish outdoor watch. Nice looking face and strap.
Loved i
It really is a beautiful little watch. I am very happy and would buy it again. The only thing that I have to say negative is that the watch face is larger than I thought.
A very nice watch!
Very comfortable to wear, very well made. Instructions for setting time and date in the manual very clearly written and easy to understand. Glow in the dark elements on the face and hands do keep glowing for many hours (only slight, but easy to see in pitch blackness). All in all, I feel this was a good purchase!
I collect various, but cheap, watches as a small hobby. I don’t get out much as I suffer from progressive MS.
I bought this watch to see what “Infantry” watches are like. I have been left with a very good, positive impression of a fine watch in a strong case with a comfortable strap and strong pins holding the strap on.
I am at a loss to understand most of the “one star” comments: I suspect some stem from ignorance, some from misuse, but those about the user’s ability to read the time at night I can’t support or disagree with.
The strap, I suspect, would often be too tight (I was once told that the optimum tightness can be gauged by being able to insert the index finger of the other hand under the strap). The watch hasn’t got a “bezel” as one reviewer mentioned. And I found the pins holding the strap on to be able to resist my most active efforts to detach the strap so I could replace it with an easier-to-use (my MS makes strap buckles hard to use on any watch) metal strap.
I think that it would be difficult to find a sturdier, better made or designed watch for the very attractive price!
After I’d had, and enjoyed, the watch for a while, I changed the nylon strap for a metal one, obtainable from Amazon – well worth the search for it. Silver outside black enhances the watch. I’d include the picture I have of it if I could work out how!
I liked the accuracy with which the second hand keeps to the markings on the watch face. Its performance compares well with other watches I’ve acquired for my small collection! My longer experience with the watch convinces me that, for the remarkable price, you’d be hard pressed to find better value for money!
Ease of setting date and time.
The appearance of this watch is quite attractive although the ladies don’t like it! After a little difficulty, the date, time and language selection was sorted out and I was pleased to see that Spanish was obtainable. What I would like to know is what type of battery is fitted (i.e. part No. for instance SR626SW, 377 etc) for when the inevitable time comes for a new battery to be fitted, I don’t want to “pay the earth” for a replacement! The ‘against’ comment is that in total darkness the advertised luminosity is hopeless!
So let’s break this review up. If you’re looking at this, you’re probably after a cheap or reasonably priced watch that you can use day to day. One that can withstand wear and tear and also be waterproof enough to handle being dropped in a bath.
This fits the bill.
The packaging is nice and minimal and quite easy to unbox. The strap is a black NATO and this is surprisingly comfortable. Usually I change my watch bracelets to add more comfort or style but this one is more comfortable than I had expected. I also like that the pin holes have a surrounding leather border which not only adds a textural stylistic difference, but also means better protection over time. Usually with NATO straps the holes wear over time and can even rip.
Coming to the watch face itself I can’t really say much more to what everyone has already said. Yes it’s easy to read but this is the case with all field watches. I personally like the long red second hand as it increases legibility as well as contributes to its overall style. I’m a big fan of the black and red colourway generally. Coming to the hands they have a decent watch lume, enough that you can comfortable tell the time in the dark.
My tiny gripe is the “Quartz” on the bottom of the dial. I would’ve preferred this be omitted because the font isn’t great and would probably make the watch look a bit more minimal.
On the whole I’m very very impressed. A great watch dial combined with a comfortable strap under 30 makes this great value for money. I’d highly recommend this as a beginner field watch or even as an everyday watch that can take a bit of a beating.
I use it as my watch for cycling for now 🙂
