5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent quality boules
Excellent finish/quality craftsmanship. Heavy and quality feel. Bag is a little thin but perfectly adequate. Happy with purchase.
I was drunk when I bought this as I saw people playing the game and though it would be a good idea.
5.0 out of 5 stars Garden relax
Lovely just playing a few games in the garden relaxing so well made
A classic boule se
This boule set is a good product and very well made. I would recommend this boule set to anyone that appreciates well made, sturdy products, it would also make a great gift.
Excellent quality at a super price. 5 stars.
Lovely and heavy perfect for competition ptanque.
Since I have bought these for my husband I have ended up buying 4 extra sets as all the men in his boules club loved them.
Properly weighted, easy to clean the sand from the groves, maintain their shiny ness!! (Not a word, I know!!)
Now just to come up with a way to nark them so we know who owns which set!!
Mais oui!
Bought these to get ready for the summer season in the south of France. They are great and we play in our garden and can say that with a few glasses of what we call ‘boules juice’ a brilliant time can be had.
Great fu
Bought these during first lockdown and enormous fun. Handy carry bag means easy transportation to either the garden or the local park, very well made and clearly durable for the rest of your life! Reminds and evokes memories of playing this with my father on holidays where you’d play this into sand but great for all the family now.
Boules se
Excellent Ptanque/Boules set. Very professional looking and great to have 8 boules rather than the more usual 6. The carrying is very neat and strong handle as pretty weighty. Boules of very good quality and overall extremely pleased with this purchase – as were my friends very complimentary. From experience, would be good to have a second jack or able to purchase one.
EXCELLENT SET OF BOULES - I WOULD BUY ANOTHER SET.
AN EXCELLENT PRODUCT WHICH I WOULD RECOMMEND TO MY FRIENDS ETC.
THIS MANUFACTURER HAS ALWAY HAD A GREAT NAME FOR PRODUCING HIGH QUALITY SPORTS EQUIPMENT
EG. LAWN BOWLS WHICH I HAVE USED IN THE PAST.
4.0 out of 5 stars Good quality
Been used a few times and all is fine, quality appears good. Far better than the plastic ones
Purchased them to replace the Jaques set we had had for years. The original was a 6 ball set, but this time I went for the 8 ball set as the price was reasonable. Quality of the set is very good with the balls well packaged in its sturdy carrier case. The set includes the little wooden ball called a ‘but’. It would be better if this was a brighter colour as it is sometimes difficult to see when playing on a lawn. However, we are very pleased with the set and looking forward to more enjoyable family competitions. Lastly, one word of advice. Our last set deteriorated due mainly to us not cleaning the balls properly after use on the beach. I believe the sea water and long use caused them to rust. If they come in contact with salt water, clean them well with tap water and dry before replacing them back their case.
Real fun for the family and friends
I’m so glad I bought this, it has given us some real family time. My son is off his xbox and my daughter off her ipad. A simple and fun activity for all ages to enjoy. Fabulous quality too. Definitely a great and recommended purchase.
Good Fun and Quality
I believe there are 2 sets and this one has the rust proofing so a few more but worth it. Boules are sturdy, they will mark over time but that is what I expect. The bag could be a bit stronger but its not a big issue
Great boules set from Jaques.
Very sturdy and great quality boules set from Jaques. Really pleased and although advised by Amazon the delivery would be over a week away I received the boules the following day (and that’s during the Covid-19 lock down too!). Fantastic purchase.
A bit expensive but seem to be a good quality
Haven’t played Boules or Ptanque yet so not really able to give a thorough review. On first impression it seems to be a very nice boules set that consist of 3 pairs of steel balls (6 balls in total) which can easily be intensified due to the different patterns on each pair with a good sturdy storage pouch.
These are real quality, solid and rust free treated. The canvas carry bag is well stitched and looks like it will last for ages, though will not outlive the boules which are solid and shinny. Not played with them yet but I’m sure over the next few months of ‘lock down’ we will have plenty of time to do so! Stay safe.
After I ordered a set, I was not happy with the quality of the balls. They looked used/second hand. Jaques got in touch with me and I graciously accepted a replacement set. Whilst they are a better quality set, I was still surprised. It seems that any set you receive will not be a perfectly polished, clean, mirror like ball. I guess it’s a case of ‘it is what it is’. Good customer service though. Our family and friends all enjoy playing the game.
Nice quality
This is my first boules set so hard to judge the quality.
They have a nice look to them and come with clear game rules, measuring string and jack.
Lost the jack on the first day I used them as I was playing on light coloured sand.
The boules are now scratched and bashed, but what else would you expect.
