I bought something similar for my husband earlier this year and decided on one myself after our usual airbeds started deflating.
It’s incredibly compact easy to get the nack of in regards to inflating and is at least a foot longer than your average airbed. Its not too heavy in weight making it also ideal to carry on an overnight hike.
Although we haven’t used it for camping just yet, we have tested it out in the house a few times and find it perfect for what we need.
A second one has just arrived for delivery after we realised they can be joined by poppers to make a double! Result!

Once we’d worked out how to inflate it, it was so easy. It is inflated in seconds. Fairly comfortable too. Was great value for the price.

Had my doubts about these but we ordered two for camping and they are super comfy. Slept really well on them. They are loads better than your standard blow up beds. You have to inflate them yourself so don’t self inflate but it doesn’t take long. Will be ordering another for my son too.

Great mat ,folds up into a small bag.very sturdy fabric.inflates quickly(although self inflating isn’t a true description as it needs you to inflate it with either the integrated foot pump or can be easily inflated by blowing it with mouth) .my daughter used it for the duke of Edinburgh and loved it far better than her old foam roll ma

Great product at very little cost. Easy to blow up and let down, very comfortable to sleep on. A good product at a good price.

This is a thin type of airbed, suitable for camping as it’s light and doesn’t take up so much space when packed up. It is handy to have the built-in pump, inflating by stomping on the pump. It easy to operating and doesn’t take too much effort on inflating and deflating.

Once inflated, it is a rather thin single mattress, around 8 – 10cm thick. We used it for a sleepover night with a sleeping bag, on a carpet. Better than sleeping directly on the floor. Not sure about the durably, as we just used it for one night.

This self inflating camping mat was delivered quickly and on good quality packaging. It is easy to use and inflates quickly, it is also super easy to deflate. It is comfortable and I like the pillow area too, I am impressed that its waterproof.

It feels nice to sleep and lay on and overall I recommend it.

This needs a bit of help to “self-inflate”. But that is okay. It works well as a camping mat for a single person while on the move. It is quite lightweight and easy to carry around. So the thickness of this length is sort of justified.

Lightweight and compact. Easy to inflate. Comfortable to lay on, I was really I’m
Reused with the amount of comfortable this provides seeing as it small and compact to take in your camping bag on hikes it invaluable for a good night sleep. Good quality product and currently priced at 30.95 which I feel relflects the quality of the product well. I would highly recommend this.

It’s very clever the way that this inflates – although I thought that by the description ‘self-inflating’, it might just start blowing up as soon as I got it out of the carry bag, like a lifeboat or something! Instead, there is a small foam panel that you can stomp on, and it gradually inflates. I think it was about a minute or two before it was fully inflated.

Once finished, it makes a nice little mattress, it’s only thin but enough to get you off of the ground. It’s comfortable too. I’m not sure how it would be for a whole night, but for a little rest (or lying on a pebbly beach!) it’s ideal.

Self-inflating to me means that I don’t need to do anything – the bed will inflate itself – this is definitely not the case! It has an integrated pump (of sorts) that you need to manually pump with your foot – hence the 4 stars rather than 5. If you just forget this “feature” and pump up with an electric pump then this is a very comfy, lightweight mat for occasional use/camping.

It’s easy to carry around when travel. And it’s well made with quality of material. Water resistant and self inflated with internal pump. It’s durable and light weight. Highly recommend.

This is a comfy and easy-to-inflate camping mat, ideal for use as a base for sleeping bags to be put on or just for general comfort out in the garden on a bench or just on the grass.

This does inflate by using your foot over the inflation hole, you simply lift your foot up and down on and off the hole and the air is then pushed in. Alternatively if you are near a power supply you can use a pump and save the effort.

Once up this is really comfy, it is a great length and there is a good additional height for the pillow end of the mat. It is easy to deflate and fold back up into its own little travel bag with ease. It doesn’t take much space and it is lightweight so makes camping more comfortable if you are into a wilder camping or are roughing it.

Greta mat to have and one I would happily recommend.

This mat is good value at 26 , it’s a good budget option for a thick and comfortable camping mat that will keep you well off the hard ground.

I line that it is 70cm wide giving you plenty of surface space, some camping mats are far too thin but you get the extra room with this mat.

It’s also 200cm long so great for big and tall people like me and the pack size is still really small , it can fit into backpacks with ease and not take up too much space or weigh you down.

A good option for festivals, camping or as a spare emergency bed for family or friends.

The pillow provides neck and head support , it’s 40d material so it’s quite robust too.

The built in foot pump makes it easy to pump the mat up without needing an additional pump or having to blow up by mouth , it’s not got much insulation so it’s a mat that’s more suited to fair weather camping, but it’s very comfortable to lie on , it keeps you well off the hard ground.

This requires manual pumping. That probably is the only downfall for this mattress. Love the colour. Love how compact and lightweight it is also. Great for sleepovers or camping. Great that another one can be snapped on to make double bed. Seams are in great shape. Doesn’t really make that squeaky sound when sleeping and turning like most air mattresses do.

I normally sleep on a king-sized airbed when I go camping, but this has convinced me to change to an inflatable bed base with this on top. Something I have considered trying for a few years now. I borrowed a friends bed base to try with this and I am converted.

I have slept one night with it straight on the floor and that was better than the air bed, but a night with it on the bed base gave me the advantage of being raised off the ground, as I am on an airbed (easier for my old bones to get up and out of my sleeping bag) and you don’t get the condensation on the bed under your sleeping bag the way you can do on an air bed as air is able to circulate under the sim.

This is also so compact that it is idea to have to hand for when someone unexpectedly stays over, who you dont have an actual bed for. So I am very pleased with this item and have no issues recommending it.

In comparison to other similar inflatable mattresses I’ve used and own & I have 11, its comfy to lie on. You lie close to the ground due to the thickness of this bed but this allows you to manoeuvre into a comfy position with no bounce or roll. The pillow is large which is great and does offer support for your neck. It’s well made and because it folds up so compactly, it is an excellent addition to my camping equipment.

To inflate you simply open the central rubber stopper and pump with your foot. You can inflate this mattress in under a minute. I’ve left mine inflated for weeks now and remained lying on it for well over 50 hours and I haven’t detected any loss of inflation.

When rolled up correctly it is compact and folds away into the small and well made fabric bag that is supplied.

I’m 5′ 10″ and I have room at my feet to stretch out. I’d suggest that someone who is 6′ 3″ would happily but more importantly, comfortably be able to lie down on this mat without their feet overhanging.

The air is trapped inside precise stitching so there’s no deflation when you lie on it! As an air bed user an issue that some air beds have is that they can’t hold their air and they deflate during the time when you’re asleep but with this mattress this hasn’t happened as the fabric it is made from is of good quality, is hard wearing, tear resistant and highly water resistant.

You’re supplied with 6 small sticky plastic transfers which can act as an instant repair kit.

There’s a valve at both ends which allows for a fast air release when you want to deflate it; just open them and the air will rush out completely in under 15 seconds.

A useful feature with this mattress are the ‘pop studs’ running up each edge, allowing you to securely clip the mattress together before you roll it up. They also allow you to clip multiple mattress of a similar design together.

I have already recommended it on my camping forum, posted a link to it on numerous social media platforms and talked about it with family members.

I hurt my back after an accident when bouldering. I lay on the mattress for five days as part of my recovery and have recovered completely.

At 26.95 I’m confident that it is being sold in the correct price range and suspect that if looked after there’s no reason why it won’t offer me a comfy nights sleep for years to come.

5.0 out of 5 stars Compact, comfy, water resistant & durable. 🍄

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI ordered this self inflatable sleeping mat in the shade, blue. The mat arrives boxed and includes a storage pouch, instructions and some patches for any holes that may need repair

The mat is really long in length so should be suitable for taller people.
The mat unfolds to show a pillow at one end, and an inflation cushion at the other end. There is an inflation valve on the cushion, and a deflation valve at the opposite end
To inflate the mat, you firstly have to make sure the deflation valve is closed and the inflation valve is open. You then simply press up and down on the inflation cushion for the mat to slowly inflate.
Since I do a lot of camping, I thought this would be a great idea for taking with me. I would say that, yes, the mat is self inflatable. However, it DOES take quite a long while, so I’d definitely suggest having a book or magazine to read and a seat to sit on whilst you do it! Admittedly, I did end up giving up half way through and used my pocket size rechargeable electric pump by actually plugging it into the deflation valve to pump up the mat, and this took only a minute!
Once fully pumped up, I would definitely describe it as a mat more so than a mattress. However, it’s actually perfectly comfortable to lie down on without feeling like you’re touching ground. I also found that even after lying on the mat, it retains air and doesn’t deflate with weight, which is also great. My only complaint is that it could be a little wider, but other than that, you’re perfectly able to sleep on it!

When ready to deflate, you simply release the deflate valve and make sure to push out all the air before folding it back up. Overall, the self Inflation feature, although quite an effort, is good for emergencies or cases where you don’t have access to a pump. I found the mat to be comfortable and definitely useable for sleeping on. The pillow is nice and plump and when in sleeping position, it retains air and pressure so your body doesn’t hit the ground. Definitely a handy piece for camping or even to take on a beach picnic.

This self Inflating camping sleeping mat doing great job I must admit, this material is very good quality and what’s most important It’s waterproof, warm and tear resistant which will protect you from the wet ground in the most extreme conditions.
It has built in a foot pump, enabling you to fully inflate the sleeping pad in 45s.
The size is 200L x 70W x 10H cm, and for sure it will satisfy your arbitrary sleeping position.
It’s also equipped with snap fasteners on the sides, with which you can connect two sleeping mats together easily.
Great quality product at all, the price is very reasonable I must admit.
    Highly recommend to anyone.

This is a really good quality, decent Camping mattress that’s well-made, feels quite strong, and is well-designed, with an incorporated pillow section. It’s tough and waterproof, just the job for the great outdoors. The mattress comes complete with storage bag, and repair patches.

The mattress is single size, but can be attached to another to form a double. Whilst you can use a powered pump to inflate, it is actually not overly difficult to manually inflate (which surprised me, comparing to some others). The in-built foot pump is very effective, comfortable, and easy to use.

The mattress isn’t overly difficult to deflate either, you simply open the port at the other end fully, keep it open as you roll up, then when you’ve squeezed all the air out, close before finishing rolling and placing back in the bag. As I expected, it takes a bit of care to roll this up, and it must be in the way it was unrolled. It doesn’t roll up quite so neat, and there is generally still a bit of residual air left, so it does take a bit of squeezing to get back in the bag, but not as difficult as some.

Overall, a great quality camping mattress, recommended. It’s quite comfortable to lay on for one of these, obviously not comparable to a bed, but fine for camping! Decent value.

I recently got my hands on the Self Inflating Camping Sleeping Mat and I must say, I’m impressed. This 10cm thick waterproof inflatable roll camping mattress is a game changer when it comes to outdoor sleeping. The fact that it’s self-inflating makes it incredibly easy to use and it saves a lot of time and energy.

The first thing I noticed about this sleeping pad is the high quality of the materials used. The top of the mattress is made from a soft and durable fabric that feels great against the skin. The bottom is made from a waterproof material that ensures you stay dry in wet conditions. The thickness of the mat is also impressive and it provides excellent cushioning and support.

The compact size of this mat is another great feature. It’s very easy to roll up and pack away, making it perfect for backpacking and hiking trips. The ability to connect two mats together to create a double camp air bed is also a bonus, especially for couples or those who prefer a bit more space.

The self-inflating feature works really well and I found that it only took a few minutes to fully inflate. The valve is easy to use and doesn’t leak air when you’re inflating or deflating the mat. The mat also comes with a stuff sack which is handy for storage and transportation.

The brand behind this sleeping pad is one that’s well-known for producing high-quality outdoor equipment, and this product is no exception. The attention to detail and quality of materials used is evident in every aspect of the product.

Overall, I highly recommend the Self Inflating Camping Sleeping Mat to anyone looking for a comfortable and durable sleeping pad for outdoor adventures. It’s a 5-star product that exceeded my expectations in every way.

    Excellent. Self inflatable. Camp bed.
Love the fact that you don’t need a pump. To blow up this air bed. It has a grey ease of use. You simply remove your shoes. And then just put your thought. On the bed will inflate. Quite quickly. You can also deflate the bed. To put away for storage.
Great for campaign holidays. In the garden. In the Sea or pool.
Very versatile and lightweight. Fold quite small into the bag provided. With a carrying handle on it.
Extremely good value for the money.
There are also a couple of patches. In case you burst the bed. It’s really good to see these provided.

A compact, sturdy and comfortable ultralight inflatable camping sleeping mat.

My son likes to sleep in a tent in our garden when the weather gets warmer. This sleeping mat is exactly what he wanted to put in the tent at night. During day time, he takes the mat out and lays it on the grass. So I can only comment on the suitability of this product in the garden.

It’s made from a good quality 40D nylon material which is strong and durable. It’s super easy to inflate and deflate with the built-in foot press pump, and it literally took less than 2 minutes to do this. Quite impressive!

It is surprisingly durable for something so light. It has provided my son a comfy clean spot on the garden grass and since he is satisfied, I am also satisfied.

Priced at 29.99 (at the time of writing), seems like a reasonable price to pay for a good quality and functional product.

In short, a good quality and sturdy sleeping mat that’s super easy to inflate and deflate. It’s an easy recommendation from us.

As a retired mountain leader I have experienced self inflating mats over the years and not been particularly impressed. They have normally been very expensive thin and have been inflated by just opening a valve and letting the inner structure expand and let air in. After being packed for a while they sometimes needed some help to inflate by blowing in the valve. I eventually gave up and used standard foam mats.

This mat is VERY different. It is not actually self inflating as it needs the users assistance but it does not need a pump or blowing in a valve. The main structure is the same as a conventional air bed but maybe a little thinner. It has a valve on the corner of the pillow section and on the foot end there is a small separate air compartment which is filled with what feels like soft foam and is connected to the main bed via a one way valve.. When the foam filled section is squeezed by the hands the air in the separate compartment goes into the main bed. When the foam is let go it expands by pulling air into the compartment via a second one way valve.

To inflate the bed just unroll it and keep squeezing and relaxing the small foam filled section until the bed inflates. It only takes a few minutes of good hand exercise. Once inflated covers clip on the pillow and base valves.

Deflating the bed in the morning is where it really scores over a conventional self inflating mattress. Just open the valve in the pillow and let the bed go flat. It’s the same as any air bed unlike traditional self inflators it is not a case of trying to squeeze all the air out that the structure is trying to keep in. Once the bed is flat just fold into three three and roll it up around the small foam section.

Th whole thing is a lot longer than expected as well. Most self inflaters seem to stop at my knees. It comes with a couple of repair patches and a bag as well.

This is a good sleeping mat. It is large enough for most people to be comfortable on it. It is very lightweight and folds up easily to put back into the carrying bag that is provided. The instructions are basic at best and it took me a while to work out what I was supposed to do. I confess that I had not read the listing properly as I was expecting it to inflate itselfwhich is what I would interpret from the fact it is called a ‘self inflating’ camping sleeping mat. So I was looking for the mechanism to do this. It took a few minutes for the penny to drop and realise that it is not self inflating at all. It has a built in foot pump which is a lot different.
As I have bad knees this isn’t ideal for me. I had to step on it just as much as any ordinary foot pump. But I would normally use a small electric pump to do that for me. However I managed it in the end and it was quite comfortable to lay on. Not brilliant but ok. It is very well made though and you can see that it is strong. I also like the poppers on it so that you can attach another one to it.
Deflation was quick and easy and I had no problem folding it up and putting it into the carrying bag.
I would suggest this is ideal for people who have limits to what they can carry when off camping/trekking but for anyone who may have a knee problem and has the room for a pump then there are better options out there.

4.0 out of 5 stars A good bed for camping
