This is easier to use than a plastic scoop, especially if your compost is a bit clumpy, and certainly better than a trowel for filling pots. It seems well made. I should have bought one years ago.

I nearly bought this from my local garden centre, but on checking the price online whilst there I saved myself over 5 buying from Amazon!!
I have a Dutch trowel by the same makers and the quality is excellent. I also love the fact they are made from traditional materials instead of plastics and ther unsustainable materials. Spend that bit more, clean and look after them, and they’ll last.

Another excellent tool from this brand I own several smaller tools that suit my arthritic hands now and these are top quality even after my husband forgot to put them away in the greenhouse and left them out all winter ! Still as good as new after 5 years of good use

The hand potting scoop worked very well as I was previously using a trowel and the compost was going everywhere. It is deep enough to avoid any spillage and I feel it was well worth the money.

I haven’t used this scoop for very long but I can feel the quality when I use it to decant compost from a large bag into pots and potting trays. I have had products from this company before and I am still using them years later so I was confident that I would be getting a good product when I bought this. You can get a good amount of compost in the scoop and because it is made of metal it can go into the compost with ease when it is compacted unlike my previous plastic scoop. The handle is comfortable to hold and as a lady with small hands there are no problems holding it. I would definitely recommend.

I use this when potting up plants with compost. It is really good and sturdy and I’m really glad I bought it. It is so much better than the plastic scoop I’ve been using. Wish I’d bought this years ago.

The days of potting compost all over the floor are gone! This scoop is fab! Good for mixing and measuring and then actual potting even down to 10 cm pot no mess.

it is a bit overpriced but i like to scoop me cement with these type of ladles and the wife knocked me on the head for mucking her scoop up so i had to bite the bullet.

Bought it for my husband as he’d been hankering after a scoop like Monty Don’s on Gardeners World. Chose this one as it looked very good quality but was a bit worried when it arrived as it seemed a bit small. Husband seems pleased with it though so all is well.

I could not do without this product – so much better than using a hand trowel to get at compost in a bag. And you cannot fault Kent & Stowe products – they are excellent.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersHaving had the hand trowl & hand fork bought for Christmas I decided to buy the scoop…I’m not disapointed. It has the same sturdy wood handle which is also very comfortable to hold. Real value for money & would recommend to friends & family. Only complaint I have is the excessive packaging from Amazon.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic.
