Love a plastic straw and eco friendly
Im not a fan of paper straws as they fall apart too easily, these are great and eco friendly too, just wish shops would use these , definitely will be purchasing more.
Really Impressed
I was expecting something papery that disintegrated after two minutes, but I was really impressed by these. They have a different texture to the old plastic straws but held up until the drink was long gone. If they truly are as biodegradable as claimed, then this is the perfect combination. I’d definitely buy again.
Poor quality
UPDATE: Whilst we were unhappy with the quality of the straws, the seller contacted me to resolve the issue. A lovely gesture that is appreciated. I can only assume it was a bad batch or supplier issue and will certainly use them again now. What excellent customer service!
The straws are poor quality, as soon as you bend them they break and are unusable. Over 60% had to be thrown away.
Update: while I disliked the straws the seller was really good in reaching out and helping me resolve, I will be willing to give them another try and see if it was just a one off, customer service is 100%
I was expecting straws that are strong and not cardboard taste, there is no bad taste but they are like paper and half way through a drink its soggy

Not good for hot drinks
I bought this product for my dad. The straws are not suitable for hot drinks as they collapse when you try to drink. Perfectly fine for cold drinks, and its great that they are biodegradable.
These straws are a great eco friendly alternative to regular plastic straws. The box states they’re made from ethically sourced, food safe materials but doesnt actually specify what those materials are. I would’ve liked to have seen this information included on the packaging. Bonus points for completely recyclable packing though, no plastic bags in sight.
They come in a multitude of pretty pastel colours and measure 21cm long, extendable to 22.5cm. They’re very narrow straws with a diameter of just 0.5cm and replicate the look and feel of plastic really well though they’re perhaps ever so slightly thinner than the plastic ones. Within the item description these are listed as reusable, and while I suppose you could if you really wanted to, I wouldn’t recommend it as they’re not big enough to fit a straw cleaning brush inside. These are only to be used in cool drinks too, they’re not suitable for hot drinks.
I’d prefer to use reusable ones but my autistic daughter insists on drinking from very narrow straws so these are a good compromise.
They’re smoothly finished so comfortable to drink from and bend easily. I’ll happily purchase these again when we run out.
