I bought the lagunamoon UV gel nail starter kit and wow, I have just fallen in love with vibrant colours and products. Works a dream. I have used one other, more expensive brand, and I noticed the difference. This is the second collection I’ve bought. Will definitely keep purchasing from this company
I’ve only used two colours but I loved the colours and mix of types of polish I got and as a added bonus the pink I used and accidentally put matte instead of glossy top coat now glows under UV light even after I put the glossy on over the matte. I love how the silver is holographic under artificial light but it dulls in natural light which is disappointing. Wish I could get a pic of the nails glowing in my lamp but the angles to bad.
This set is perfect for range of colour and ease of use. Delivery was very quick and cost of the product is very reasonable for what you get. Presented in a nice little box too. Can’t wait to try all of the colours.
I don’t normally write reviews but I was very surprised after using these as first impression was very thick and thought it was pure rubbish. In between layers they were still sticky but I kept going till the overcoat and it cured very well . It just went hard. I will test them with days gardening and see what happens.
I bought coffin acrylic set and used the colours from this set. They were a bit sticky to apply but it did dry down really well. Yet to try out the other colours
I’m trained on nails but unfortunately don’t have any products and my best friend is getting married next weekend and in these hard times she can afford the luxury of getting her nails done after spending loads on the wedding so I’ve offered to do them.
Bargain for the amount of colours. Nice box etc. The base coat came with a broken brush, so i had to complain but did then get a new base coat sent out with a complimentary gift. Looking forward to my toddler having a nap so i can do my nails for the first time since i was pregnant lol
I love these polishes, i am slowly making my way through all if the colours. Great way to strengthen your own nails. I have found the black polish did bubble and peel off for some reason, but only on 3 out of 10 nails. Had to reapply. None of the others have done this so far. They do need to be removed and don’t peel off easily like past gels i havr tried.
I read the reviews and nearly didn’t order this set of gel polishes but I’m glad I did.
Nice selections of colours, decent size bottles.
Yes the polishes are thick but if you make sure the bottle is warm before use the polishes go on well, the trick is to use very thin coats.
These are really easy to remove and the colours are nice however the quantity in a bottle is very small. Some aren’t very liquidity either. I’m overall happy although I believe they are a bit overpriced.
I started doing my own gel nails in lockdown and I’m going to continue because I’m enjoying it so much. I bought the nude colour series first and it’s been so good. I’ve since bought the more colourful set too to do some braver more summery nails.
I like the consistency and the colours are really nice too. I like to change my nails regularly as mine grow very fat, but I’ve had this gel on for 3.5 weeks with no lifting or chipping.
I bought these alongside the mylee pro LED lamp, the blue sky base and top coat and a set of mylee gel too. These were by far the best to use, the application is so smooth, applied with one layer of base coat and 2 layers of top coat. Mylee gel which is more expensive chipped the same day, ive now had lagunamoon on for 2 days and my sister for 6 and it hasnt chipped or lost colour at all. I’m so impressed and will definitely buy other colour choices.
Really like the range of colours but as others have said the consistency of the varnish is quite thick and gloopy which did make it a bit difficult to apply evenly. Did get a bit of chipping after a few days but I really liked the way they came out at first. Overall good purchase for the price.
I was unsure about these due to reviews, I had nothing to worry about, they are thick but this makes them easier to apply (2-3 thin coats) & it has not chipped or peeled & gloss top coat is very shiny, my only negative would be that the colours are slightly different to the pictures but still a good variety. Prep & application is key.
Likes – the glitter polishes, especially rose gold glitter as pictured. This is the best gel glitter I have used, just wish I could find it sold single on Amazon.
The price. Works out as a quid a polish and you can’t argue with that!
Dislikes – they are on the floppier side. However if you have gel polish thinner this is not a problem, but does mean an additional purchase.
All in all the colour range is fab and they are cheap enough to try out colours you may not usually wear if they’re on trend. Would recommend
I love the lagunamoon range. They are easy to apply and last really well. I had two ladies who had their polish on for 5 weeks when we were on lock down, with no chips or peels at all (obviously they were all grown out by then though). Most of them are highly pigmented so need just a couple of thin coats, although some of the lighter colours need more, which is true of most brands. The glitter polishes are gorgeous, with a high concentration of glitter in them, so again only need a couple of coats to look fab. The thickness of the polishes are perfect for nail art too and in my lamp take 30 seconds to cure. I haven’t experienced any of the bubbling of other reviewers at all and have purchased 86 colours so far, being a bit of a magpie.
These multi packs are brilliant value for money.
I am just a keen ametuer at the moment, but these have been lovely for me and will probably be buying some of the effect polishes soon.
I love the classic and nude colours, not so keen on the jelly colours. I made a mistake and put the matte top coat instead of the normal one but I love it. The glitter & galaxy are amazing . I have been wearing it 5 days now with no sign of deterioration. I will definitely buy more. I wanted to try a different colour on my index finger so I removed the colour easily with no problems.
It is extremely easy to use just make sure you have a good UV/LED lamp. I will definitely be purchasing more colours
I love the jelly shades though they don’t say jelly on the front label. Some have J at the front of the colour code. The classic shades I am not massively keen on but the black is good, the glitters are lovely, and I like the jelly colours.
Good to have a range of shades on hand.
I can’t speak to the longevity as I have only had the jelly shades and glitters on a few days but thus far they seem adequate. They are easy to use certainly, if you know how to use gel nail varnish. It does come with a base coat and two top coats – glossy and matte. The matte is not great.
Worth a go for variety or to build up a collection. I don’t imagine I would give this set as a gift. Better to invest in a smaller collection of better presentation and quality.
Having never used gel polish before I found this product really easy to use. The colours are vibrant and beautiful. I have painted my nails 4 times in 2 weeks to test some of the colours and because it didn’t look good the first time I painted them haha
They have very little odour and it takes just a few minutes for the whole process which is great if you have a busy lifestyle.
Some colours are a little thicker than others so may take some getting used to knowing how to apply etc but overall I love the polishes.
Will definitely purchase again and will also recommend.
I bought these gel colours because there was such a range of colours and glitters, some of which I’d have never of bought on their own as they’re a bit out of my comfort zone. I’m glad I did as I’ve ended up loving every single colour. The gel is the perfect consistency and only takes 2 coats on most of them to get the full colour. On the lighter coats you need 3 coats but that seems standard. I’ve added a close up of one of my nails to show how well the glitters come out too, as some glitters from other brands can be quite see-through. I’ve had the polish on for about 8 days now and no signs of chipping or lifting at all. I’m really pleased with the quality of these gels and will definitely be buying some more of these sets. I also have to add that I’ve never used a matte top coat before but I have tested it and it looks incredible. I’m excited to create some Halloween nails using that!! I thought the quality may be questionable due to the affordable price but actually, I prefer these over more expensive brands I’ve used. Really glad I decided to order.
This lasted 7 days with no lifting. I need to work on my application and there was a bit of pooling at the base of my nails. I will also put white as a base the next time I use the yellow to get a brighter colour.
For 25 and all the colours it cannot be beaten. I absolutely love the no wipe top coat and it was the first time I used a matt top coat too. Love love it!!!
Beautifully presented colours are pigment rich and there’s a good selection of colours most that will get used the glitters are by far my favourite! They are super sparkly and are a real show stopper, my clients have been so bamboozled by all the colours they have struggled to pick ideal for anyone starting out or needs an alternative brand in a salon that can give you some different colours without the expensive costs
