This product works exactly as advertised, it’s great clean fun and doesn’t dry out or leave too much residue on hands. It’s not too difficult to clean up if it’s dropped on carpet.

It’s really good for kids who need squishy sensory input, and it’s safe enough to leave in their room and not worry too much about mess.

The colours are vibrant and mix really nicely, I would have liked a bit more sparkle but the kids don’t seem to mind!

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent sensory product at a reasonable price

Bought this for my youngest whom has been asking for it for a while and he loves it. So easy to clean up doesn’t stick to everything like playdoh I rather this product than playdoh he can have this lol

Bought it after seeing the good reviews. But I am really struggling with it… the sticky sensation and I personally don’t like the bits coming apart easily and mixed up with other colours. Also the storage of them is tricky, don’t know where to put them after opening

This stuff will ruin your life!!! My daughter who has autism loves it but I hate it. Sticks like S**t to a blanket to everything and it stains when you try and remove from blankets etc. I’ve found it stuck to every surface in my house. The kids will love it but for the love of all things holy keep it in one place! Don’t be like me

I found this better than slime. It was less messy. provided hours of fun for my 3 year old. But the tiny pieces would get stuck to her clothes or on the carpet. It’s easier to get off than slime, but it still means trying to gather those tiny pieces. Once the colours are mixed, it’s impossible to separate again. So it’s one big ball of multicolours.

Golden Review Award: 29 From Our UsersWe tried this after getting sick of trying to get playdough out of the living room carpet. This stuff looked as though it might be easier to clean up as the piece are a fixed size, they look like tiny little polystyrene balls, brightly coloured and mixed through with some sort of semi sticky mastic that gives the whole thing a similar feel to a rice crispy square. So far it seems like an improvement over playdough, as even though a small number of the small beads transfer regularly into hair and hands, they definitely do come out easily. The children find it mildly infuriating that the different colours stick together so well, even with only brief and accidental contact, but at least given the bead size, they can separated and regrouped with a certain amount of patience. The resolution of the crafted parts is very low, so you can’t do fine detail and have to think big, but it doesn’t seem to diminish the enjoyment.

As this was the first time we bought this product we tried the cheapest version we could find which didn’t include any storage containers or travel cases – so time will tell if the bold ‘NEVER DRIES OUT’ claim holds true! Currently highly recommended, if you understand the limitations.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good fun, less of a disaster than playdough

She loved it I didn’t… it was gooey and soft and mushy and in 5 mins she had mixed every colour together in a bowl till it resembled a bowl of multicoloured cous cous… but even now in mid feb.. it’s still gooey and soft and mushy and she still plays with it, down side is the actual product is tiny little balls just like cous cous and it comes away and sticks to her hands and it falls on the floor so it’s slighly messy but I bought it knowing that so a big play mat and wipes at the ready and the kids will love it!

Bought this as a gift for my daughter and it has been a huge hit. The colours have all been mushed together now making a not very pleasant colour but it still works just fine. We take it everywhere with us, out for meals etc and it keeps the kids happy and the adults usually have a go too! It hasn’t lost its stick, we keep it in a sandwich bag and it isn’t messy at all. Bought some more as gifts. Love it!

good product, just as described but my son was not interested so I would not buy again. Would be better if it came in a releasable pack. It does not dry out like play dough if left open, or stick to the carpet etc but once opened there is no where to store i

My son absolutely loves this stuff. Hours of fun every day. The only downside is that it stats it doesn’t make a mess but it sometimes does. No big issues though, when small bits fall off it’s so easy to pick them and they definitely do not stick to carpet or the floors like playdough does.

I even love to play with this stuff myself, acts like a stress ball when i’m at work.

Golden Review Award: 60 From Our UsersI haven’t a clue what some of the negative reviews are banging on about, this stuff is amazing.

Bought for my 4 year old for his birthday, as an alternative to play doh which was invented by Satan and bought by one of his sadist minions.

It’s just awesome. It feels slightly sticky to the touch but leaves no mess or residue on your hands, clothes, carpet or furniture. It looks like tiny pieces of colourful Styrofoam but it only sticks to itself.
True, some pieces do break away while it’s being played with but they don’t get stuck to the carpet like the dreaded p word does. They can either be easily picked up using a larger blob and dabbing them up or if you can’t be bothered, hoover them up.

My kid mashed all 8 colours into a rainbow blob within minutes of opening it but he’s still playing with 2 hours later so I’m not too worried.

I saw another review about it smelling bad…it did smell a bit chemically when we opened the package but that faded within a couple of minutes.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersPossibly my fav buy. I love the creativity that play dough provides but hate the mess it makes when it gets into the tiny gaps in my laminates. This is as easy to use to create things as playdough but without the mess!!!! I wish there was more of the product itself as it looks like there’s more than there is but for me, it’s worth every penny when it is minimal clean up.
Also great for sensory input for kids with sensory processing problems or autism but fun for all

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersMy kids absolutely love this stuff and unlike play dough etc it doesn’t make a mess. It’s very simple to clean up unless you get it stuck in a long fur teddy, then you might as well throw the teddy away. Other than that it’s amazing. If you’ve got young kids they will mix the colours and that’s unreversible but you still have the foam. I have not known it to dry out yet so definitely 5* and my kids have asked me to buy more (I have younger ones who didn’t get it the original time round)

I work with children and all ages from 5 – 16 love these . They have a weird texture , not as soft or malleable as slime but good for sensory experiences and easy to use , and keep clean .
I was a bit disappointed as it’s not the easiest to make things from them , you would need several to build a shape and generally the kids don’t even attempt making items as the texture doesn’t lend itself easily to building . So it holds there attention for a short while . They do like to squish and bend it and for that it works well and is mess free .
After a while they get a bit harder and I wouldn’t recommend for very young children as it’s like plastic foam balls and they could easily swallow it .

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersLove these. Use it all the time. Not as easy as.playdough to mould but still just as fun. The individual colours are small so have mixed them to have four sets of platform rather than eight. the good thing about that is, unlike playdough, it just looks multicoloured and doesn’t go brown(!) Would recommend. Good price compared to other similar products.

    I love these!!!!!!
My 3 children absolutely love them too!
Hours of fun (especially great to use when on travels to anywhere, as they bring out the creative side)..: & I can imagine would be especially beneficial on longer journeys.
    They really are mess free!
A mum in mind children’s toy.
I don’t mind a bit of messy play, mess, especially over the summer Holidays, but this really does make it all the more convenient. You can make so many things from these little vibrant balls of colour!! I bought at the sale price, and they’re well worth every penny.
I will certainly be purchasing more in future when in need of replacing & for gift ideas. Absolutely fab!

As someone who has carpet in their house i find it annoying when my little one uses playdoh or plasticine because it gets in the carpet and its a hassle to get the carpet clean again.

This play foam is great as it doesnt cause any mess and my little one is intrigued by it , my only concern however is that there is no storage container for the product.

This stuff is great for little ones 2-4ish. It’s a wonderful sticky texture, its fun to handle and mess with, and they can shape it enough to be delighted.

It’s also pretty mess free, although we still play with it in a tray – I wouldn’t want to get any on the carpet, mainly as it would pick up all the dust and hairs and you’d never get it clean.

That said, older kids might prefer something that holds a shape better…this is more for squishing than shaping – you can make basic shapes with it, but they soon melt back to a blob.

Also worth noting: the colours won’t stay separate for long, just accept it’s going to be a big multi-coloured mass.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersAbsolutely brilliant product.

After watching the Youtube videos we decided to buy this for our little one, along with black plasticine, googly eyes, and plastic eggs with toys inside.
Although they are much smaller than we first thought, this didn’t stop our little one from thoroughly enjoying this wonderful playfoam, so much so that we’ve just bought another pack so she can make bigger things with it.

As for the stickiness, yes, sure it’s a bit sticky, but that doesn’t take away from the fact that this is a great fun toy for young children, and curiously, adults as well, 🙂

What we did when we presented this to our little one was to put the foam around the plastic eggs, put googly eyes on them and some black plasticine in the shape of funny mouths. Just like the YT video that she loves. Watching her face light up was amazing, and she uses the plastic eggs to wrap the playfoam around so she can pretend she is opening the shapes just like they do in the YT video.

She also loves making faces with them or other shapes and she spends ages using the playfoam, and I feel that anyone who doesn’t ‘get’ this product is allowing their child to sorely miss out on creativity and improving their child’s fine motor controls and hand/eye coordination skills which come in handy for when they are older.

After all, what’s a little mess compared to the fun a child can have playing with something that encourages creativity and intelligent play?

Well my 6 year old saw this on you tube so I gave in and purchased. Kept her amused for an hour. I’m sure it will come out again but it’s not quite like the advert! Forget keeping the colours separated. Quite addictive to fiddle with, even for grown ups!

Great stuff! My 2 year old loves it and it really doesnt make a mess! She mixed all the colours together (which was inevitable) but its not for detailed creations so it doesnt matter anyway. Its a great sensory toy and it feels really nice to squish up. Will be buying more when hers gets too gross.

Perfect gift for 3 or 4 year olds. This is my ‘go to’ gift for other kids birthdays at the moment. It makes no mess so – unlike playdoh – you won’t find yourself scratching it off your socks or carpet. But beware that it won’t hold detailed shapes so probably best for younger kids who don’t have the fine motor skills to craft anything particularly detailed. To be honest, my 3 yo mostly just makes sausages and balls…

Golden Review Award: 14 From Our UsersThis stuff is incredible!
    It is completely under rated.
Every child under the age of 10 needs this in their lives.
My son got this at 2.5 in June 2015 and we have been playing with it ever since. Almost on a daily basis.
It is almost mess free, it has survived out of the packaging for 6 months.
We use it to play catch indoors rolled into a big ball.
We make shapes out of it.
It gets fed to dinosaurs (and subsequently pooped out by dinosaurs haha!)
It is put in dump trucks and is used to hide trains.
It is the best money I have ever spent on a toy product for my child.
In terms of sensory play it is a little sticky but squishy and feels lovely, if not a little odd at first.
We are getting to that stage now where after 6 months of continual play we could do with some new ones.
It is our most played with thing and it is the one thing I recommend over and over again.

Great colours, is really interesting and my 3yo boy is enjoying it. Holds a moulded shape perfectly but pulls apart or flattens out again easily. Sticky doesn’t remain on your hands so I can see their claim that it won’t stick to carpet clothes and furniture to be accurate. Good stuff. Only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is I think a larger quantity would be better and give more options for making diff shapes… Just buy a second pack I suppose but it’s not cheap. Anyway pretty pleased.

Fantastic toy. I am a mum to a 4 year old who loves playdoh etc and I hate the mess leaves. So when I read about this item I was delighted to see something similar to playdoh without the mess.

We have both had some good fun playin with it. It is really sticky on your hands when playing but the min you put it down the strange thing is your hands aren’t sticky bonus.
Make sure the kids play on clean surface as it will pick up all little bits of dirt and stick fast.

Have fun and remember let the kids play too as it’s so tempting just to sit and make stuff yourselves.

Golden Review Award: 20 From Our UsersI saved myself the trouble of trying to keep all the colours in separate containers by mixing them all from the get go. It’s really a fantastic bit of moulding fun. You can’t really achieve the detail you would with clay or playdoh but it’s great for using your imagination and much easier to clean up. We bought it for children of 18mths and 3 years who were less concerned about detail anyway. I will say, however, be careful of the surface you use for play. It doesn’t adhere to skin and when it falls on carpet or clothing it comes right off but when it’s in continual contact with certain plastics (i.e. highchair trays and toy bowls) it is nearly impossible to get all the “sticky” off. I ended up having to use non-diluted Dettol and a bit of elbow grease in the end (!). Super fun though and especially great when using extra on-hand accessories like Mr. Potatohead pieces and such. Our kids love it. Would recommend and will buy again.
