Got this for my son, who loves to create with blocks and Legos. It has given him a lot of playtime and he uses his creativity to put it together in many different ways.

If you’ve a toddler that loves gears, this is great. The functionality of the gears is our favorite part. Price point is fantastic, especially for purchasing our first set. There are tiny parts, so be careful when first opening sealed bag.

We bought a couple of these for our 4 yr old nephews and they love them. They can go together in lots of different ways (and can combine with other sets) and have parts that move as the gears turn which they love. Also brings in an element of problem solving if you connect a piece that stops the gears moving. Their teacher mum is really impressed with them too!

I’ve been really quite surprised by how much pleasure this kit has brought. It is a bit tricky for littlies to follow the instructions (I must admit that I struggled with one of the vehicles!), but once assembled, the vehicles work really well, and they’re really quite fascinating. The only disappointment is that one of the cogs broke within the first day – no idea how. I was expecting greater durability.

This is my second buy of Gears Gears, i absolutely love the concept. The build Quality is also worth the money spent. Made in Korea except for one Part which is made in China.

The biggest problem with this is what other people have pointed out, its not something stable and comes off quite often. The instructions are pretty bad, its not something a kid can do on his own.

If you already have other sets then the designs can be made better with some additional support. however the wheels do come out quite often. Specially on uneven surfaces.

    Summary:-
    Pros: Excellent build quality
    Really great concept

    Cons:-
    Designs are not stable
    Design come out quite often
    Instructions are pathetic
You will need additional parts to have a stable design that can withstand play time.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis is for a January birthday gift for a 3 year old that loves excavators. He has the basic gears set and this will go with it. Product shipped quickly and came in great shape.

The item is supposed to be a gift but it came with a sticker on the front of the box that when I removed it,the prints came off. Didnt remove the rest cos it will be more damaged

My son loves it . But I have to agree with another review that the instruction itself is not clear for first time players. Also, some parts are hard to de-assemble.

Good toy but one the kids start to move it , parts start falling a part
My child lost interest in it after 3 or 4 times as there is nothing new about rebuilding the same thing again and again
    No room for innovatio

Esta de excelente calidad, diferentes formas de armarse para entretener varios minutos a los nios, simplemente muy buena compra.
No le doy todas las estrellas porque le falt una pieza que es importante para el movimiento de todo el carrito

Entertaining to build and a good way to learn to follow instructions although I’ve got to say these instructions are not as well done as those included with e.g. Lego

It looks cool when assembled and the 3 machines are different in shape and with good variation. Unfortunately, they break apart quite easily once the kids play with them which is a bit disappointing. 3.5 stars

YOu can make a few things with this set but overall I found it’s play longevity fairly short. It demonstrates gears well and is interesting in terms of how you can put the different bits together to get different outcomes, but it doesn’t have the same flexiblitity as another well known construction set which offers more TECHNICal options…

Different and quirky, so still good though.

A good toy that’s well presented and works fine
It’s put together well and made with some lovely colours
A decent toy that the kids will love and it’s reasonably priced

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThe attached video (also on YouTube in better quality) shows this set in action.

The set is a Learning Resources toy so is educational aimed at developing critical thinking and fine motor skills. However it is also fun and well made too.

Inside the set are 47 pieces that fit together to form vehicles. There is also an instruction sheet with three vehicle builds that use all the parts. The instructions are not as easy to follow as LEGO instructions because they put lots of steps into one step, and because the black connector pieces have three different ways of going round making it hard to decipher which is the correct way from the pictures. But for older kids and those with adult supervision it is probably fine. The pieces all fit together securely and can come apart easily too. My 5-year-old had no trouble fitting them together.

The finished models really are good. The gears all work in tandem and there are spinning parts, or walking legs, or arms. And all three are different so there is a bit of variety to the set. This is a “Wrecker” set so the best pieces are the demolition ball and the digger part. But you’ve also got one build that looks a bit like a dog. And there are other builds you can do other than those in the instructions. Plus it is all compatible with other “Gears! Gears! Gears!” sets.

My 5-year-old son is mechanically minded and this suits him very much.

So we are currently in the process of building it now with my class and the instructions are sort of okay to follow they love doing it. And I’m sure once we’ve actually built they will love playing with it. Then trying to rebuild it themselves.

Got this for 5 year old as a change from his usual Lego. Think he is going to follow in his dad’s footsteps, as he is fascinated by fitting gears, cogs, screws etc together. He likes the the multiple ways he can use the pieces and it keeps him occupied for ages. Bright colours to appeal to young minds and the instructions are good. Looks durable, so it will come in for his younger brother when he has outgrown it.

Gears is a favourite construction toy at a Saturday morning club that runs in the community centre. This is a Gears set. 4 year old’s and above really enjoy playing and making things with this set especially the wrecking ball part. Everything supplied also connects with already owned other gear sets, so the young people cab enjoy putting the sets together and making a large construction item. This is a great I creative toy children think of so many different models. Made from colourful and durable materials. 5 stars.
