    50 metre mains cable reel
Good quality cable reel with built-in protection for over-heating etc, which can be reset easily by the user. For instances when a suitable wall socket is not available ,nearer to the user. Yellow 1.50mm cable stands-out amongst all the normal black mains cables, making it easy to spot in less than ideal lighting conditions,so people can see it and step over it safely. Recommended

    25 m reel
Works very well, easy to roll out and back up.
    Only
Mistake I made was not buying a 50 m but that’s not reflective of this reel. I would definitely buy agai

    Good value and works perfectly
Used for mowing the lawn. Works perfectly. Rewinding the lead is effortless with the open reel design. No getting jammed up “inside” like our previous extension reels, which typically end up with broken winder handles or simply falling apart.

    Does the job
I needed to vacuum my car in the resident’s parking bay, we have a big grass area between the house and the parking bay and not allowed to drive the car up to the house, so I used this extension lead together with my old one to extend the power from the house to the car. The lead had to run across a wet grass area, not talking about through puddles or anything, but grass wet with dew, it worked fine, no problem with it getting exposed. Obviously I wouldn’t recommend mixing water and electricity, but it was able to sit on the dewy grass while I vacuumed 35 metres away.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersVery good garden extension reel
I use this outdoors, mainly for the gardens. It is a sturdy reel, easy to wind, has an on/off switch, has protection which is good in wet weather, very good value in comparison to others.

It's not that bright but it's convenie
Prior to buying this extension reel I had short listed a 3m extenstion bar with 3 sockets, + USB A’s and a USB C socket. However, decided to hunt for the same but 5m. Didn’t see exactly the same but chance upon this extension reel with built in light. Reckon that I will be using the light far more often and I could always plug in a separate USB charger to insert into the 4th socket.

I like the fact that the cable used is bright lime in colour and that it is designed to wind around the unit which the previous 3m extension bar doesn’t have. However, I shall be waiting for a Mark II version of this extension reel and I do mean a reel you can just wind line any other reel because this one, you have to wind by physically doing it yourself; laborious and takes a few more minutes than an ordinary reel.

I also like the 13amp rating because I have an existing reel which is 10 amp and it cuts out quite often because I overload it with two items being used at the same time.

For my work I have torches and head torches rated with higher lumens than this light on the extension but reckon it is still a good buy because this reel offers so much convenience (apart from the non-rotating winding for stowing the cable away.)

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersGood job it was double boxed.
The reel is as described, 40 metres, or even possibly a bit more, as it seemed to go on forever when I unwound to check it so I’m happy with that. The sides of the reel are metal, which I prefer, but they had been deformed by overzealous or rough handling by Hermes/Evri or whatever they call themselves this week on its journey which was obvious by the very poor state of the outer cardboard box – I remedied this with a rubber mallet. One thing of note…the power on LED is off when the on/off switch on the reel is turned off even with the reel plugged in and live but comes on when the reel switch is turned on and I would have preferred it to be on continuously when the reel is plugged in and connected to mains voltage.
The plug is a bit plasticky and I may change it for a better one eventually.
The cable is not too springy and appears to be of an adequate spec for a maximum 13 amp load.
Reeling out and in is a breeze – you just need to use a bit of common sense utilising hands and feet combined.
Overall it seems good quality and should last for some time with a little care.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersFantastic & very robust.
    I bought this 20/12/22.
Its stood up to the longevity test, we have used this whilst camping, out in the awning, in the house, when the lighting Ring had a fault, but we still had power sockets, used it as a main light in most rooms until the Ring failure was was located by the electrician finally fixed.
We used it in the garden for hedge cutters & charging power tools.
Now The 2 Plumbers working here, are currently using it right now, to repipe water to my bathroom into the loft space, instead of all round the walls, to create a Wet-Room for me, they both think it is such a great, useful, robust bit of kit, they are both going to purchase one each on pay day, when the Boss has paid them!
Honestly, You can’t get a much more thorough product testing, by holding back, to be sure you fully put this item to good use over a decent period of time.
Only then, give a full & frank review.

Well I can assure you all, it has definitely been well & truly tested in many ways & over 10+ months of use, with the added bonus that its currently as I write this, also being used in a professional setting too!!
The 7 different people here, who have all used it multiple times & for varying reasons, all give it a:-

10 for design features, the light is great idea, (Brand owners, we need more like it with longer cables to please!).
Great in the caravan awning, but limited placement due to length of cable, needs to be longer, so we don’t have to lay the cable under the caravan on the pitch..

10 for bright HiViz cable & decent cable Length, sturdy cable winding holder on its reverse.

10 for the kick stand also on its reverse & its very stable, good light brightness, for working in tight/Large spaces.
Currently the 2 professional plumbers both agree, they are both currently hanging out a hand from my loft hatch, each with a gloved-coveralled thumbs up!!

10 for the handle that is also robust enough to be hung up high on a hook to use light & a power cable at the same time, as is the kick stand able to be hung from a hook, permitting it to shine down 90 towards the floor or over a work bench/area, still bright enough light, for more detailed type work..

    SO Final opinion:-

Having given it light use & very rugged use, add to that Professional working conditions use, All 7 persons opinions, are true daily life/daily strife uses, we haven’t found any reasons not to like any of its features.
As it’s very solidly built, very well thought out, good functionality points, implemented by the designer.
We all Would definitely purchase another if they did a longer cable, then we could have one for home DIY etc & a longer one for the caravan & when the girls go camping.
This would allow use to be able to hang it from a hook above the table & chairs for meals, rainy day, card or board games etc, one extra feature the designer might consider on the next one with a longer cable, would be a small remote control key ring to clip on the caravan key, for turning the light on from a short distance away from the awning on approach to the caravan/tent pitch in the dark, as I know many caravaners that would swoop in & grab some stock of the longer cable & remote light fob options, as would many tent campers on electric hook up pitches too..
But these are purely optional extras rather than “improvements”, as the item is fabulous as it is & very functional & robust.

The other suggestions are to make it a great back up/secondary option for bigger garden jobs/pitches requiring longer cable length etc!
    Please take a moments Caution!!
Purely to consider My sugestions for hanging!!
    Please be safe!!
The 2 HOOKS we have used for it to be hung up high/90 angle over head SAFELY are 2 of the stainless Steel S shape butcher type hooks, that you can hang/hold up 3kg+ of weight safely, the item is not heavy, but when you plug in an item allowing the cable to hang, that is additional weight, also please do not over stretch any cables hanging from this, 1 hook would be plenty, but we use 2, 1 each end of the handle/kick stand, for stability, just to be sure peeps this may not be recommended by the brand, or by health & safety rules, everyone must avoid/prevent any risk of injury, by being sensible, to the product & yourself.
I am not saying that this is recommended by anyone, but it is how we have safely & sturdily used it in our awning, house when we had mains lights not working, we used 2 hooks to prevent knocks/movement of it, also if someone/something snagged the un-looped power cable, which in some rooms was hardly needed, but for safety has to be unwound before use!
The hooks we used then prevented any chance of cable stretching any where near either ends or middle of the HiViz power cable, for every safety reason known to man!!.

I do hope my thoroughly tried & tested, informatively written review, the full long term uses we have needed it for, over the last 10+ months & everyone heres experiences of their use of this item, with their exerts added freely, from all of our family members & then by the now “multiplying plumbers” here, which now stands at 3 professional Plumbers in my home, many thanks to (Ben, Ken & Jo).

This review has been written freely & without any incentives, I just like to give praise where praise is due, where the Brand & Product itself has absolutely functioned above & beyond expectations, so it has fully earned it, but also that it stood up to a family of 5 is a good product, now add the now 3 plumbers, its clearly been made to gold standard build strength.

Where the item still after 10 months of regular use, but Still looks as good as it did, upon day of delivery & removal from its box, where it was put straight to use in an emergency, when our main lights Ring failed!

I feel that, When a product does what it says on the box/tin & much more, then writing an honest review is Never a Chore!!

I hope this helps those who have the time to read it, hope you have a fab day

This is my second one of these.
The 1st one is still going strong after many years.
The cable is quality and has stayed subtle.

Really good quality branded extension cable.

    one job done well
As an electrician i have used these a lot, most of them have trouble in the winding/rewinding of the cable. This one did the job well and the colour helps people stumble on it less. overall great value for money.

Really like this cable extension. Used for outdoor garden products ie lawn mower etc. Reels in and out easily and smoothly, no cable tangle, has a thermal safety cut out and the cable is fluorescent green/yellow, highly visible so can be seen easily, no trip hazard.

Arrived the next day , the box was very bashed about and I feared the worse . But on opening I found everything was ok , a quality well made reel , a bit smaller than the older one i had same size wire length 25 mitres , but it winds on ok and on the plus side takes up less storage space . So all in all an excellent product would buy agai

I had a 15m by the same brand and wanted something longer so bought this! It has not let me down, be warned if u turn ur back and someone touches it like any extension cable it’s a nightmare to untangle but super easy to use if used correctly, has shut off switch, a light that lets you know it has power, plug tidy to keep it neat once rolled back up. Great product and would recommend this brand, very sturdy and durable

    Bought for small socket end.
The main reason why I bought this type of cable reel, was to put the single waterproof socket end into the confined space of a vehicle’s engine bay. I can then connect a battery charger and close bonnet (hood) on both items. Thus being able to protect the items from the elements and theft. The innovative design allows this, but like all reels is awkward when it comes to reeling in the cable, though the guide is useful. This is made slightly more awkward by the short cable that connects the reel to the mains, this must be tightly wrapped and fixed to the outside of the main reel, before rewinding the extension cable. This quiet often falls off and needs to be re-fixed before continuing winding in (or out). A suggestion for the manufacturer would be to make this short cable section detachable, with a connector at one end that would only plug into the side of the reel and a wall plug at the other end. This short cable could then be unplugged from the reel and the wall plug end could be fitted to the waterproof reel socket, so as to extend the length of cable. It. would then be possible to reel the whole lot in and onto the drum. Would I buy it again? probably yes.

    50m of Quality
My wife bought this to be honest, as I work overseas and she wanted a cable reel to reach someway down my garden to plug in a WiFi camera to watch some of the animal garden visitors. Covid has turned my wife into a bit of a fan of watching the local wildlife. I suspect she isn’t the only one.

Bit of a line 5 here, but pre-covid we didn’t really notice much of what went on around our garden and the local woods. Because we – or rather my wife – has had more time, we’ve noticed far more around us than we realised. Covid is grim but there are small benefits.

Anyway, as I was away when my wife wanted this she sent me the link to make sure it wasn’t a dodgy cheapo one that would go up in flames. As the brand is known and the price is relatively high for the 50m I figured it must be okay.

When I got home I then had a good look and yep, this is a well made, high quality and robust cable reel. It’s also very long at 50m – at least the one we have – and that makes it very useful.

The cable is of course bright and visible – no bad thing for sure.

It appears to be made of high grade materials and I hope should last a good long time.

The reel itself is robust and whilst a little stiff at first it seems fine now. I would add that I have also bought the wall mount which makes rolling this up easier than doing it by hand. As the wall mounts are less than 4 each I’ve three of them around my house so wherever the cable reel is used, it’s out of the way of damage.

Overall a very good bit of kit.
