I spilt tea whilst sitting near the sofa and luckily my old one was plugged off but I felt so scared to turn it on incase of a burst electrical wise so I ordered a brand new one (just looked behind my old ones name) and this came and hasn’t disappointed since! 🙂

This is a handy extension cable which has a lot of wire on it for probably the cheapest price I could find. I would say my only issue with this is the extension cord can get stuck quiet often and requires a bit of force to move it out sometimes whether that is winding it in or out it’s very stiff. Other than that works fine, the casing does seem a bit flimsy on the blue top but the base underneath it is sturdy enough.

It is what it is nice and long and sturdy. I use for garden plug in things – lawn mower, Hedge cutter etc

Dedcent piece of kit and serves its purpose. Seems to be well made. Only one little gripe is that the reel winder is a little bit stumpy and short leaving it awkward to wind reel in but no big deal really.
Does what it says now I can cut the garden right to the other end

Amazing value for money. I’ve been using it solely out in my cold shed for the last few weeks I load every plug up everytime as I use said she’d as my “workshop” 12ft x 6ft so cosy
Cable is sturdy and a good length. You do need to take a wee bit of care at times when winding the cable back in. However, it does do the job.
All works well except when reeling in, as it’s flimsy, if you use the little finger hold you squeeze the plastic out of shape until it sort of comes undone (the box) what I found is hold the bigger grey circle with your whole hand turn that to reel instead of the finger thingie, and it works perfectly as you’re not squeezing it on the blue part. Hard to explain but you’ll understand once you try it.
Does the job but feels really cheap and flimsy…Dont know how long it gonna last because every time im winding back the cable feels like its gonna break. Overall no problems!
I needed a light handy small lead as I have a larger unwieldy lead that can be a pain to lug around when you just need to vac the car.
I have “lost” 2 similar size handy leads to my kids which are invariably lent out, never to return!
However, back to my product review..
First impression was great as I spotted that it has an overload resettable trip, which is a good feature to stop excessive cable overload. The plug fuse is rated at 10A in keeping with the cable rating.
While the lead will be ok for the occasional light use it will get I did notice that it is a lot more flimsy than my past “lost” leads.
When I rewound the lead I noticed the casing flexing more than I would deem adequate for a long life.
Rewinding is a little fiddly due to the lack of a handle, this one has a sunken area to the rear to provide grip when rewinding, but is no substitute for a handle.
To sum up I think it is a good enough lead for the price I paid but if you are thinking of a lead for any more than light occasion use then I would look at a sturdier product with a handle.
In retrospect I would have paid a bit extra for a sturdier product had I have known, but hey ho, it will be ok for the use it will get, it will do.
