Great torch
Bought one previously for work and found them to be so good and perfect size decided to buy more for the family and to place in the various cars for safety reasons. Great purchase
Great little torch
Good value for money. I keep it in my pocket when taking the dog out for walk early mornings. It is very bright and great pocket size. Takes 3 AAA batteries, the batteries don’t last that long especially if used for long periods but for what I use it for would recommend.

I bought several of these torches as I can never find a torch when I need on. No problem now.
Light weight and bright and I can leave them in the garage and around the house so never have to lose one.
Powerful, multi-use torch
A very impressive torch with excellent zoom function. It’s use ranges from a long range, intense searchlight to illuminating a room or garden at night. I have never owned a torch like this before. Too soon to comment on battery life. Fairly weighty but not too large that indicates quality make. Highly recommended.
It’s very smart looking. It’s just the right size, fits in your hand and is very light even with the batteries. It’s well made and strong. The illumination from it is amazing, I’ve never had a torch this bright before. It can be zoomed in and out making the whole room light up or focus on a particular area. The strobe effect and S.O.S. function is just brilliant, well thought out, that function will be of use to campers/hikers etc if the need arises. It’s waterproof too and was made to stand vertically on a surface. It comes with a plastic holder that I can insert an 18650 battery (used in Vapers), and replace the standard 3xAAA batteries, now this is actually a nifty little function, I am a Vaper and always have my Vaper with me, and if the need arises and the batteries are dead, I can switch in a battery from my Vaper. Don’t let the low price put you off, this is a keeper.
Do not look at the actual beam in the torch as it is very bright.
For the money it is a versatile mobile torch, yes its early days so I don’t really know how long the batteries will last. Another thing that I don’t know, these LCD lights are great but with the old fashioned torch you can easily replace a bulb if that blows. With this modern torch I’m not sure what happens, but for now I am pleased with my purchase. Very, very bright but adjustable, simple enough to pull the top piece up or down, a wide spread of light for one setting and a smaller more concentrated light at the other end of scale. How long it will last I cannot comment as it is too early since my purchase. But for the price it does indeed do its job and although heavier than what I thought it is compact.
So useful it got nicked
Worked night shifts in a hospital and used this to check on patients, make sure they were breathing and in bed etc. You can have a wide light or pull the front to concentrate the light. I loved this little thing, it was so useful. Someone pinched it from me at work! If I still worked there I would buy another one since it was such a handy little thing.

Fantastic torch
Purchased for my son’s DfE expedition, this torch has been fantastic and is still going strong on the first set of batteries after the expedition and a number of camping trips later. The brightness is fantastic and it is lovely and lightweight too. Highly recommended.
Great torch
It’s tough and bright and I like the zoom function. I just wish that the fast flash was a separate button as you have to toggle through the different settings when you turn it off
Excellent value
Nephew needed it for night hike at school camp. He was very pleased with it. He hated the head torch I originally bought him. He found it disorientating. He much preferred this one.
Brilliant quality torch
These torches are fab for the price. Great reach and brightness and loved the zoom in to spotlight. Used for a scouting camp and was ideal for what we needed them for.
One of the brightest torches I have ever used.
This is a great torch – with a zoom function that casts the beam a long way. It has 3 modes – torch, SOS flashing, and a general flash. Takes 3 AAA batteries which llast a long time.
I have this torch in my 1st Aid kit in my car. it is bright and the battery lasts for ages. Its small enough to fit in my 1st Aid kit and is powerful enough to see when dark. Knowing that I have a torch to hand just incase makes me feel a lot safer. The beam is strong enough for such a small torch. cant fault.
Good pair of back up torches ...
I bought these to replace an unbranded pair of torches of a similar size I got off eBay. Unfortunately, those were not fit for purpose.
Thankfully I got a refund .
These Maxela torches are fit for purpose , especially when I take my dogs out into the forest . Good bright light with different modes of brightness and a shrobe .
It’s a nice bright torch and reasonable value for money. I was disappointed that I had to supply my own batteries. Would have been better if a rechargeable battery had been supplied with it. Perhaps a compatible charger could be offered as a “package” deal?
I also have a compact USB rechargeable torch, also bought from Amazon, that’s good and better than a larger version I had bought previously which was a complete waste of money. But I’d summarise this review by adding that my latest battery powered purchase is quite good. 4 rather than 5 stars
