I have an aging Dell Tower PC (+10 years old) which is running Windows 11 but the bluetooth only worked intermittently – plug, reboot and play and my PC now has bluetooth again. Happy punter 🙂

Had trouble making it work. Switching off anti-virus, then having to download a reg_bat file. Seller e-mail with instructions helped, better if instructions were included in packaging. Still had to use internet to get the reg_bat file, not hard to find (with the packaging?). But when it worked all fine. If continues to work a bargain.

On receiving this product it does not state anywhere on the packaging, the instructions or software that this wireless adapter can reach 1200mbps which was very disappointing although it has made a massive difference to my downloading and streaming experience. which is why i have not complained offically and in my opinion the price was very good even for an a adapter with 867mbps signal rate.
You would think with it being called an”AC1200M” wireless adapter that it can reach that speed, but this is where i think the confusion partly lies? Even the manufacturers website is confusing when it states 1200mbps (867mbps) so it`s no wonder whoever wrote the description for this product on Amazon got it wrong??
Had it for nearly a week and it`s working brilliantly at the moment so i`m fairly happy with it and i did check my network link speed and it is transmitting/receiving at 866mbps.

Since working from home I’ve needed a solid internet connection for making calls, my laptop is quite old so the wifi connection from it isn’t great, but the adapter has made a huge difference and my internet speeds are now enough for me to be able to work.

Installation is easy enough from the CD provided to get the drivers, once that’s done plug in the USB and you’re ready to go. Obviously it all depends on your broadband connection from your router, but this adapter has been such a massive help for me and now my internet connection is more reliable than before.

Had this for only a few days, it works.
I wanted a Bluetooth keyboard but my computer didn’t have Bluetooth so I bought this and now my computer has Bluetooth. First I plugged it into a usb 3.0 slot, it recognised the Bluetooth adaptor but nothing would connect. I thought I had wasted money so I tried in a normal usb slot and it picked up all you usb devices and worked perfectly.

I have only given 4 stars because it works perfectly but I have only had it for a few days so who knows how long it will last.

Overall I my pleased with my purchase.

It works, as long as you don’t use the software that it comes with. Just plug it in, enable Bluetooth pairing on the device you want to connect to your PC (I’m using Windows 10), go to Settings > Bluetooth & other devices, click “Add Bluetooth or other device”, “Bluetooth” and select your device to pair/connect. Done! No crappy software needed. I tried it with the software but there was very noticeable clipping with the audio. No clipping when just using Windows 10’s Bluetooth.

Don’t do what I did and connect this to the back of a PC, an obvious flaw of mine as the reception was very poor until I plugged it in a usb extender with usb 3 speed.
It now sits atop one of my floorstanding speakers and reception and connection are now no problem at all.
Sound through my basic in ear buds is very good and distance before losing signal is about 20 feet which is through two brick walls in my case.
Windows installed drivers without any issue.

After spending many hours trying to install this little dongle on my windows 10 pc, and after numerous google searches and forum threads, i finally managed to get it working.

This is not by any means a “plug and play” dongle!! I had to changed settings in the back end operating system to get this to work. The biggest issue was that windows was not recognizing the bluetooth dongle and there was no Bluetooth on/off switch under ‘Devices > Bluetooth & other devices’ section (if this doesnt show then it wont work when trying to pair with other devices)

Product arrived a day early… So I popped it in my laptop before an email from the seller arrived to say DO NOT PLUG IN BEFORE INSTALLING DRIVERS. So after screaming shouting and swearing alot I finally got it working! But I can only get mono on my headphones. I really don’t think it’s the product… My laptop is 1000 years old and on windows 7. If it’s for something more modern I pretty much guarantee this product will be a breeze to install. All on all happy with my purchase but lesson learned not to run before I can walk!

Golden Review Award: 20 From Our UsersI read the reviews before purchasing and see that some were having connection problems. I spent an hour this afternoon trying to get it to work, so here is my advice, albeit I was trying to connect bluetooth headphones onto a Windows 7 pc:

    1) Install the software using the CD that comes with it, as Windows own drivers did not work as well.

    2) You need to click the bluetooth icon (task bar on the computer) and ‘ad’d device, whilst at the same time pairing.

    3) Set your device manager on Windows to play the headphones as DEFAULT. to do this, you go to start > control panel > hardware and sound > Sound > manage audio devices, and set the device (in my case headphones) to DEFAULT.

Then, as long as your taskbar is chowing in blue for the bluetooth, then as soon as you pair your device it should ‘activate’ ad be ready for use.

Definitely not plug & play, but it now works flawlessly on a PC, not tried other devices when connecting.

    Hope this helps.
