This light does a good job of lighting up my back garden. The lights are a bit smaller than I expected, but are brighter than I’d expected. The motion sensor in it is a bit hit-and-miss, but if it doesn’t pick me up immediately, I just wave my hand toward the light, and it kicks in. The adjustment is good, and it’s allowed me to adjust the light so it isn’t blinding my neighbours and isn’t triggered by them moving in their garden. The light is mounted somewhere where it is in direct sunlight for around half the day, and it is obviously sufficient to ensure the light operates normally. I’ve had better (more sensitive PIR sensor) security lights, but I’ve paid more for them, so I’d say these are more than good enough for most people’s needs.

The “Solar Security Outdoor Light” from “MEDE” is an easy-to-install, hassle-free outdoor light that’s powered by solar panels located on the top of the unit and includes a motion sensor for security lighting.

The solar light arrives requiring a not-too-tricky amount of installation. It comes with an instruction manual that takes you through all of this. It also includes the rawl plugs and screws to install the light with.

Installing the light is a simple case of marking onto your wall where the two holes for the rawl plugs and screws will go. I used some packing tape to assist with this, to ensure the holes were in exactly the correct place without any need for measuring. It’s also easier to use a spirit-level to get it perfectly level using this method.

After that it’s just a case of screwing the supporting plate onto the wall and you’re basically done.

The solar lights provide a surprising amount of almost “floodlight” illumination, perhaps more than you would have though was needed for a security style light. The solar light basically has three lights which provide a strong white light that will fill a medium-sized garden.

The light comes with a rechargeable battery which the solar panels basically recharge during the daylight hours.

The overall quality of the light and its installation fitting is, in my opinion, really quite good for the price. It’s fairly light, but can still be secured firmly to a wall, and it’s not likely to get damaged by standard UK weather or anything like that easily.

All in all I’ve been quite impressed with the outdoor light. It’s nothing incredibly special, but nevertheless is what I needed for the back garden. Having a simple remote control included for managing how the light works is also really handy too!

This solar light is super impressive for the price. It has motion detection and when it lights up it lights up really brightly.
Instalation is really easy to do and it was up in under 10 minutes.
I’m happy with the sensitivity of the motion detection and the brightness.

It comes with wall plugs and it’s very easy to mount to the wall. All you have to do is mount the bracket then the light unit slots onto the bracket, which makes it very easy to clean the solar panel if it gets dirty.

It’s bright and it has 3 different modes which you can select by pressing the button on the light unit or by using the remote it comes with.

I leave mine set to be off until motion is detected and so far I haven’t had any issues with it.

Overall it’s easy to set up, it works well and it’s good value so I would happily recommend it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Easy to setup and its nice and brigh

We have put this up at the side of our house where we keep our bins.
Will be more beneficial in winter when we’re taking the bins out in the dark.

I thought I would give this Solar lights a try, this works great really bright, turns off after 20 seconds ~ the battery is a 18650, 3,7 volts
I tested the voltage before I installed the lights, then after 5 days, I tested it again, I was impressed, fully charged, solar lights working great, now with the councils turning off the street lights at midnight, this will come on when anyone walks by, all powers by the su

This light is well-made and easy to install. It comes supplied with a mounting bracket which you screw onto the wall and then mount the camera on the bracket. So installation is quick and easy.

The solar charging works as expected and gives the light enough charge for the few times I need it to come on in the dark. The motion sensors work well and have reasonable range. Best of all, the brightness is immense. I already own the larger version of this light and I am pleased that the brightness and coverage of this smaller version is still impressive.

The light features three modes: always on, always on but dimmed (then brightens if motion is detected) and activate on motion detection only. I only use motion detection mode and it works exactly as expected, so it’s very reliable.

The instructions mention that the lights will flash to indicate which mode you are in as you press the button to change between them. This is not actually the case and you have to just change the mode and then test it. Not a big inconvenience but it did confuse me for a while. Build quality of the light is good, however it is quite lightweight and almost entirely made from plastic so how well it will stand up to the weather outside of my house remains to be seen.

Overall, at 17 it’s a bit of a steal. Well put together, easy to install, performs better than expected, there’ s a lot to like. Over time the light might prove to be a bit flimsy, but even then, for the price it’ll still be good value.

We are living in an area that is not bright at night and the streetlights are dim. we were looking for the lights that would turn on automatically at night. so to meet our needs, my husband got these solar security lights for the outdoor space.
This solar floodlight is bright enough to illuminate a sizable area and has a very helpful motion sensor feature.
These lights are very adaptable and can be easily customized to meet our unique demands. It’s 360 changeable heads and 270 illumination angle.
The fact that these lights are waterproof to an IP65 rating, which means they can resist severe weather conditions without being harmed, is their best feature.
The solar-powered architecture also eliminates the need for wiring and electricity costs. In my opinion, they were really simple to install and use.
I am completely satisfied with my purchase.
    Recommended.

This one is well made with easy installation. The lights are really bright when it’s on at night. The solar power is a plus which can save lots of energy. The mission sensor is very responsive and useful. We can notice if there is anything that trespass the protected area. Highly recommend.

This solar light has a built in motion sensor, which makes it good for security and has three different modes which affects when the light comes on and at which brightness

It’s easy to install on a fence or wall and produces a good amount of white light, which is enough to brighten up an area of the garden or driveway.

The light heads and solar panel are also adjustable, so you can position them to get maximum coverage.

All in all, it’s a good solar security light, but quite expensive at 27.99 for one, which was the price at time of wiring.

I hope you found this review helpful.

4.0 out of 5 stars A good solar security light, but quite expensive for one.

This solar light is made from sturdy ABS. It is decently bright (brighter than most similar solar lights in my garden) and can light up a good range, considering the lights can be adjusted at different angles. It is straightforward to install as you simply mount it on a sturdy fence or wall with minimal basic tools. Unfortunately, it does not come with remote control, making it inconvenient to change the lighting mode. I suggest testing it by covering the light with your palm before mounting. Only time can tell if the solar panel will remain intact, as that’s the usual issue with solar lights. Overall quality is recommendable.

An easy-to-install light. I like the idea that the 2 sides can be adjusted to point outward to provide more comprehensive coverage or inward to focus the light. They can also be rotated to shine more downward or upwards. As with all my solar lights, I have the setting to be off until movement is detected then it comes on. In these lighter months, the charge lasts all night, but when we go into the darker Winter months, then the charge will obviously not last as long. I find that if you angle the outer lights away to cover a larger area, it diminishes coverage so the light does not go far. Overall, good light is if you position it so that the solar panel gets full sun and you focus the beam to cover a better area.

I’ve put this on my gate to light up the driveway. It was easy to fit, produces and nice bright light and works well. There are several modes to choose from and it seems pretty good.

If you are looking for a security light to really stun possible intruders then this is a good bet.

To begin with, it’s a fairly simple looking device that is easy to install. Simply, remove it from the box and mount the included plate to a solid wall using the included wall plugs and screws. You then slide the lighting system onto the mount and it’s ready to go.

The light has three sections. The middle section then two side sections. These can be adjusted to give you a straighter or more curved angle of lighting. You can also tilt or raise them, so you can make sure that light is shone in the direction you think is most appropriate.

You have a few settings. One is a motion detector, which will shine a VERY bright light when someone walks in front of the light’s sensor. One is a medium level of light that will last most of the night (during summer). And the final one is a combination between the two: you’ll have a dimmer light always on that will then brighten when motion is detected.

All of these can be controlled by the included remote or there is a button on the light should you lose the remote or just not fancy using it for whatever reason.

In terms of durability, everything feels very strong and solid – as though it is designed to last a good amount of time. I’ve had it out in the summer heat and also had rain pour on it and it’s still working perfectly.

Overall, this is proving to be an excellent security light that looks pretty good as well.

A brilliant self contained solar security light that has been made rather well and throws a massive amount of light out. The assembly is good and solar panel looks to be a cut above the rest. If you need to light up the garden but have no access to mains power this will do the job

What could be better than having a light without consuming energy. This sensor light is very useful. Design is good to cover the desired area . Very light item and very easy to install it. It has 3 use mode and a remote control. Good compact light, the sensor I could say is sometimes to sensible. My house is just across the buss Station and sometimes the light turns on once buss is in station even there is a good distance between. Altogether a good and handy item and a good report quality price.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great light, environment friendly

This is a neat, compact, and reasonably light unit. I was a bit baffled at first because I couldn’t find the bracket for attaching to the wall, but then I realised it had been slipped onto the receiving bracket attached to the light. That sorted, I attached the bracket to a fence near my back door; I could not fix it to the wall because it wouldn’t get enough light there to charge, but the fixings are suitable for use on brickwork. The light unit fitted on easily and snugly. Changing modes and switching on and off are controlled by the remote, so there’s no need to fiddle on the light itself. The remote control is very light, and the instructions for the modes very clear in the booklet.

I left the unit switched off for two days as instructed, to make sure it was charged fully. Then I used the remote control to try it out. The light was bright in the dimmest mode, but when triggered by motion the full light was dazzling. The area I needed illuminating is so dark I have previously had to take a torch to go out of the back door at night, but this light rids me of that need completely. In fact it’s brighter in the area with the lights on than in full daylight! The side lights aren’t really much use; they don’t angle downwards, only upwards. But the main light is more than enough. I imagine the side ones might be more use if you need light in a different situation.

For me the most effective setting has been the middle mode, which gives a dim light when darkness falls which is brightened when the motion sensor is triggered. The sensor works very well indeed, it’s set off just by my opening the back door four feet away. As far as I can tell the light lasts all night on this setting, even when the previous day has been overcast or rainy. Overall, I’m very impressed with how effective and easy to use this is.

MEDE Solar Security Lights with Motion Sensor.
We do like a bit of fuel saving lighting in the garden and this certainly does the trick, perfect for when the dogs go for a wee on a night or a quick visit to the shed/garage and of course for security.
It is very good quality and is very well made and designed, giving plenty of lighting for up to 3 areas.
everything you need to fit them is included in the box, along with a handy remote control.
There are 3 modes to choose from to suit your requirements.
The two side lights can be moved around quite considerably to suit your needs and give lighting different areas.
Overall very pleased with this solar floodlight, very well made, well designed.

It is a set of 3 LED lights that are connected together, are charged by a rather large solar plate and connected to a compact plastic plate that you can screw to the wall using the provided wall plugs and screws. The LED lights are of adequate strength and come in three modes that you can experiment with before installing it. The size of the lights is also good and the two on the side (check the picture on product page) but gives a good broad coverage. Motion sensing is also good. Installing it is also no hassle as you only have to make two drill holes. The light takes sunlight to charge so it’s literally free to use without any electrical charging and takes only a few hours of sunlight to fully charge. It even doesn’t need full sunlight to charge, it even charges during the slightly cloudy season which is amazing. Once charged, it goes on continuously for long time (if you chose that mode) and if on motion sensing mode then the light much last longer before needing the sunlight again.

The only thing to consider is where exactly to use it. If you install it too high then the light is a bit dispersed and too near and the motion sensing will be activated too late or someone could just steal it (seriously this is one of my concerns).

Overall good LED lights with motion sensing, solar charging, good quality and light weight though slightly pricey at around 27 but still good. Highly Recommended!
